RHLSTP is the end product of long hours, hard work and a decade of experience, finely crafted into a pleasant sit down with your favorite cuppa, bowla, tipple or tea with a charming host and interesting guests. Thank You Richard Herring for All of Your Very Hard Work.
Garry Newman is a video game developer, famed for Garry's Mod and Rust.. Pretty cool guy, must admit it was a surprise to hear his name mentioned.. He clearly has good taste..
DAVE GORMAN is comedy's Bob Dylan. You need to watch him many times to really appreciate the depth of his comedy genius...and the more you watch him the funnier he gets. Like Rembrandt in Art or Wittgenstein in philoosphy, Dave Gorman's profundity amd nuance rewards multiple viewings. HE IS A GREAT COMEDY ARTIST.
I don't think Dave has to apologise to anyone for pulling pranks on his wife, he is really good at this stuff and could get one over on most people I think.
The John Oliver story is so unsurprising. The galaxy brains who work in TV commissioning are depressingly narrow minded. Them rejecting John Oliver cus of his accent is a bit like the old cliche of English football coaches disregarding players who weren't tall, strong and quick.
Can we please try and ask David G if he would Consider hignfy maybe host , one week , i know he mzy not enjoy team member , but who would you have him on. Paul or Ian 's side ? Great watching this in 2024 i go on a yearly rotation of Dg and have i got news for my gotos since early 90's at least for slow well built up humior, greetings from Zwolle netherlands
Dave’s analysis of satire is spot on. People like Mark Steele, John Oliver and Andy Zaltzman have a genuine singular voice, and are hilarious with it. Satire by committee cough Mash Report cough doesn’t work so well
No such thing? Then what is that feeling of euphoria I experience when I have a large slab of chocolate after abstinence? What is it if not a sugar rush?
That might be a slight addiction to theobromine, an upper that is present in chocolate. I know I was definitely addicted for a long time. I once tried to give up chocolate and within three days I was dreaming about chocolate, multiple times.
And it's certainly not about the sugar for me. I've never had any craving for gummi bears or other sweet things. All other sweet things I can eat one or two of and then leave it, chocolate no chance.
Don't know if a sugar "rush" is different to a craving*, although as a child I was banned from tartrazine because it was the 1980s and that's how you solved problems back then, but I did a day without sugar once and I felt a craving the likes of which I haven't seen outside of giving up cigarettes. A jar of Nutella was the sweet, sweet siren, calling at me to smash into the jagged rocks of... my kitchen worktop. *of course it is, obviously.
The thinly veiled Mitchell and Webb sketch they went and done has left an indelible mark on my ability to consume a Dave Gorman interview. Shame, that.
I've often fancied adding Graham Fellows' name to the "You Should Get On" list, but maybe the format isn't quite a good fit. There's a lovely Carpool with him in though.

I'm still waiting for the punchline..

This was one of my favourite episodes, Dave is just brilliant. Well done on getting such good guests on recently Rich!
Get in Dave Gorman is one of my favourite human beings on the planet!!! You just made my day Richard!!!
Dave Gorman calls himself a geek - he hasn't even watched Battlestar Gallactica
That was a reference to MLIGoodish, right? Or do you mean that?
Awesome, great chat! Just what I needed

Another interesting interview. Well done Richard
Frank Skinner will be great to interview
Looking forward to Trevor and Simon!!!!
Ahh love Dave Gorman. Some good names coming up in future shows. Well done Rich.
The new show is called I'm about to lose control and I think Joe lycett
Well that was the fastest hour ever. Hugely enjoyable.
Nice to hear Taskmaster chat. Bloody love it.
Get Frank Skinner on Rich! :)
Aye I agree. Love to see him on.
Brian Blessed!! Awesome!!! Can’t wait for that one!!! 😍😍😍
Yeah, that man has and will have so many good stories. Hopefully we'll get a longer show for him.
He will 100% ask him if he has any Brian Blessed stories
I like Brian, but I always think of him as a massive, jolly, really loud liar.
Ending on a high! Quality chat.
Richard, any chance of getting Alice Fraser on the podcast? She's been fantastic as one of the guest co-hosts of The Bugle Podcast recently.
Seconded!!!
Chris Morris soon please.
Chris Morris would be incredible! I'd love to see John Hodgman, John Cooper Clarke and Alan Moore too.
...I want, rather a lot, to have coffee with Dave Gorman now.
to be clear, on the wild off chance he ever reads this - I liked you on Taskmaster, but now I'm a tiny bit in love
mainly with your rage and sense of justice
Hi Richard.
Didn't there used to be two Dave Gorman RHLSTP videos on youtube? I can only find one now. Did you remove one?
Could you do another one with Bob Mortimer? Remains my favourite by a distance.
Took me a moment or two to realise that Dave Gorman doesn't harbour a serious dislike for Neal Schon of Journey fame.
Yeah its this guy twitter.com/neilsean1
love his show are you Dave Gorman?
Has Dave Gorman done Only Connect?
That reaction to Melinda Messenger tho

Our boy’s slagging off ‘Face Punch’. Don’t be on and GMod servers, be a shame if your build were to suddenly nuke itself hahaa!
Interregnum? Had to Google that :))
Love Dave he's a Stafford lad n'all!
I don't think Dave has to apologise to anyone for pulling pranks on his wife, he is really good at this stuff and could get one over on most people I think.
John Oliver has a Birmingham accent not ‘estuary’ :)
Is the first RHLSTP with Dave Gorman on the RUclips?
Who is Neil Shawn ? Is that the name?
Kids say the funniest things.
Well, kids say things.

People who see your OFI50 show when you dont wear the stripey top you wear on the poster much feel cheated.
I feel sorry for how many tweets Mrs Gorman will now presumably get about not being able to say Vietnamese.

Old Dave has got a soft spot for Neil Sean, eh! Another great upload, Rich. Lovely stuff!
There is no such thing as a sugar rush, Dave. Scientifically disproven. He's just happy because he had something delicious.

I'd say dopamine comes into play here somehow. Science.
I liked servants.
Michael legge has lost some weight.
John Oliver? Estuary accent? .... What?
I eat carrots
Another comment you won't read...
I read them all
See you on tour
Another great show by the way
August 22nd 2019. It is the future, we are all dead.
Get Jim Davidson on. Get Ricky Gervais on. Together. Stitched together. Human centipede style. The audience votes on who goes in front.
