Thank you so much...........
It was a very great help for me. You saved my day... thanks again.hope u will upload many more videos like this.😊
You're welcome!
doesnt work...
Guys the whole PC -> IPHONE(IPHONE_>PC) transfers is bugged as hell. Sometimes it shows the apple iphone , sometimes it doesn't, it is not your fault, developers completely suck here, that is why you struggle.
Yes switching to android iphone is not user friendly
I think it's apple's way of trying to frustrate people to pay for more iCloud service. I don't want my pictures online.
And it doesn't keep the original date and time of copied photos, so I can't sort them chronologically. (Didn't have this problem with a Samsung phone)
Sometimes a bad cable can do that too
@@walperstyleI don't use I cloud I just drag and drop through finder
Was finding solutions to fix this from hours and m glad i saw your video, it worked man, thanks....
Glad it helped.
Thanks a million❤
mine is not showing the " trust or don't trust" sign and its not transferring. what could be the problem
When your iPhone connects to the computer for the first time, the iPhone will show a Trust prompt, tap Trust to continue. If iPhone doesn't show that prompt, you can try restarting your iPhone and reconnecting it to computer.
Thank you!!
Thank you..its working 🎉
It works also on windows 11
Thanks you very Much... Great help full saved my time..!
very helpful, thanks
Thanks!
Thank you
The keep originals setting worked, thank you!
Hey topcable, I Want the files I transferred to the pc removed from my iOS device.. Directly is it possibly

Is it possible to transfer full dcim folder to your windows pc ? And Vice versa as well.
i don't have the option to "download and keep originals" but i do have the transfer to pc option
On your iPhone, go to Settings > [your name], tap iCloud, then tap Photos and select Download and Keep Originals.
@@topcapable3473i dont use icloud.
Hi, Topcable is it Possibly to Transfer the photos to Pc , but directly removes it from my iOS device too?
With iPhone Data Transfer (www.appgeeker.com/iphone-data-transfer.html), you can transfer photos between iPhone and computer in both directions. You can also use it to manage your iPhone data and delete them.
@@topcapable3473 page cannot be found. Also your original instructions in the video seem strange, I don't see how those changes would affect Cutting / Copying pictures from iPhone to Paste on windows PC
This was long ago, now it doesn’t work like this
When your iPhone and PC are connected, open the Microsoft Photos app and select Import > From a USB device to transfer your photos.
best one easy
Thanks a lot
I did everything right
And the quality of the photos on the computer is blurry. and I don't know why:(
😊❤
Make sure that all the pictures in your Photos app have been downloaded to the iPhone and not exist as thumbnails, otherwise, the photos will not be transferred in their original quality.
For me it shows folder is empty even after doing all the steps you said .. what can be the reason for that?
Make sure your photos are fully downloaded on your iPhone and not in the cloud in the form of thumbnails!
Thank you very much
unfortunately the option download and keep original its not showing in my iphone i dont know what happened but before i never faced any difficulty when i transfer my photos & videos... i think the new updated had it effect
You can try updating your iOS and see if this option appears.
How to open aae files from windows 10 plz make a vdo
If you use iPhone Data Transfer, then it will automatically convert the aae files to jpg format when transferring photos to your Windows 10.
Not working properly only few photos at the time, painful!
Connect your iPhone to computer and trust the computer. When the computer detects your iPhone, Microsoft Photos app will pop up and start loading your iPhone photos, then you can add them to your PC. If it still doesn't work, use iPhone Data Transfer (www.appgeeker.com/iphone-data-transfer.html) to transfer your photos from iPhone to PC.
Not the 123456- 😭😭
Did as instructed but opening the transferred picture file it pops up element not found. I can see the photo try to open nothing there!
Make sure your photos are downloaded to your iPhone and not in thumbnail form, otherwise you won't be able to transfer them.
Eventhough Im getting everything correct I could'nt get the Iphone folder in my files plz tell me whats the problem
Connect your iPhone to computer and open Microsoft Photos app, then select Import > From a USB device to transfer your photos.
@@topcapable3473 thank u
gracias amigo!
It is working 😍… I can give 1 M likes for this video if possible 👍
I used this method on Win7/Win10/Win11 with Iphone 8plus/14pro. Whenever I tried to copy big qty files mobile after some time stop to response. The same happen thru Windows App - Photos. Why this simple operation is so unstable? After re-connection sometimes mobile is not visible in windows explorer ;-/ I use USB and USB-C cable, the same issue happen.
Maybe it's because you're experiencing lags when transferring a large number of files. Or you can try iPhone Data Transfer (www.appgeeker.com/iphone-data-transfer.html) to quickly transfer large amounts of files between Windows and iPhone.
Why is it important to keep originals?
i tried doing the steps you showed and i couldn't find anything on my iphone.
Then i pressed convert instead of keep originals and it worked..
Is it going to affect the documents, pictures, etc??
Keeping original is ensures that the photos you store on your iPhone are at HD resolution rather than thumbnails.
i cant find the dcim folder it just comes up with a folder with some numbers
Yes, then you can open the folders one by one to find the videos you want and add them to your computer.
How to delete the file from iPhone once I copied to computer . It’s not letting me to deleted from pc
You can't delete your iPhone photos directly on your PC. You can wait for the transfer to complete and then delete the photos you don't need on your iPhone.
Not all of my photos are on in these folders to copy over - is this bcos these are saved to my phone and not icloud?
Before transferring, make sure you have downloaded all photos to your iPhone and not as thumbnails.
Hey may I have the link for usb cable plz for connecting both iPhone and windows pc
You can buy it on a shopping website or in a physical store. It's a Lightening-to-USB cable.
@@topcapable3473 can u plz share a link for original one
Is this only for images or video as well?
Both videos and photos can be transferred.
For some goddamn reason, only a small part of the whole library shows up in the file explorer, even after having the iPhone connected for 5hrs doing the backup. Even then, some images copy and some don't, for whatever reason. it's bugged as hell (Windows).
You can try iPhone Data Transfer (www.appgeeker.com/iphone-data-transfer.html) to deeply scan your iPhone data and then transfer it.
So it's not apple's problem huh 😂
@@goodsaint_001 I wrote (Windows) to to denote the platform the issue occured on, which is solely just for information. No finger pointed involved here
How to open heic phtos in pc
You can download HEIF Image Extension on your PC or use software to convert photos to JPEG format. You can also try iPhone Data Transfer (www.appgeeker.com/iphone-data-transfer.html) to transfer photos from iPhone to PC without worrying about format incompatibility.
When I plug my phone into my pic it just charges my phone nothing else what do I do
You need to unlock your iPhone and choose to trust the computer on your iPhone; if your iPhone does not pop up the trust box, restart your iPhone and try again.
I have done this for years, since I upgraded to iOS 17 the DCIM folder no longer appears…
Try iPhone Data Transfer (www.appgeeker.com/iphone-data-transfer.html) to transfer photos from iPhone to computer without worrying about format compatibility issues.
@@topcapable3473is this a paid website/software?
What if the apple USB cable doesn’t connect to the laptop, then what next??
Try a good lightning-to-USB cable to connect your iPhone to computer.
Doesn't work. Just shows folder as empty most of the time, and even when connected, if you try to move large amounts of pictures it constantly fails.
After connecting your iPhone to your computer, open the Microsoft Photos app and select Import > From a USB device to transfer your photos.
Keeps giving error when transferring large quantity of files
Make sure your photos are downloaded to your iPhone and not saved as thumbnails.
so did all this but my phone doesn't show up in the list. is my phone a dud? worked on my android so i know its not the pc
nevermind. apparently my front port wont work for this. plugged it to a back one and it works. thanks
its not showing the folder
Make sure that the iPhone is connected to the computer using a good data cable and that the computer successfully detects the iPhone.
should have mentioned that itunes
needs to be in the PC
If you transfer photos by opening the DCIM folder on the connected Apple device, you do not need iTunes; or if you use the Microsoft Photos app to transfer photos from iPhone to PC when connecting iPhone to computer, you also do not need to install iTunes.
They are heic format and mov not working in windows
After connecting iPhone to computer, open Microsoft Photos app, Select Import > From a USB device, then you can see the photos from iPhone, and then you can add them to your computer.
Almost none of this worked for my (IPhone 7S > Windows 10)
Try iPhone Data Transfer (www.appgeeker.com/iphone-data-transfer.html) to transfer your photos from iPhone to Windows.
How is it possible to transfer all kind of data , not only just photos
Try iPhone Data Transfer (www.appgeeker.com/iphone-data-transfer.html), you can transfer various data between iPhone and computer, including photos, videos, music, etc.
Hey. What if my photos are not stored in iCloud but in phone memory? Will it work? I don’t have the option ‘download and keep originals’ 🙁
Go to Settings > [your name] > iCloud, then tap Photos. Select “Download and Keep Originals” to save the photos on your iPhone. Then you can use the methods in the video to transfer them.

And how to add the photo into iPhone?
After connecting your iPhone to the computer, open the Microsoft Photo app, select Import > From a USB device, and then add iPhone photos to the computer.

Use a USB cable to connect iPhone with computer and trust the computer. When the computer detects your iPhone, the Microsoft Photos app will pop up and load your iPhone photos. Then you can transfer the photos to PC.
Problem is not all photos are there 😢
Make sure all your photos are downloaded to your iPhone, not stored as thumbnails in the Photos app.
because the folders are named like this: APPLE 110 APPLE 112 ETC. It's hard to find which location I want
You can also try the Photos App to transfer photos from iPhone to PC.

Try iTunes or iPhone Data Transfer (www.appgeeker.com/iphone-data-transfer.html) to do that.

If I delete my photos one iPhone will it stay on pc
If you have successfully transferred the photos to your PC and saved them, then if you delete the photos on your iPhone, the photos stored on your PC will not be affected.
WHEN I OPEN ON PC APPLE IPHONE THERE IS NOTHING!?
Make sure the iPhone is unlocked and you trust the computer. And the computer should detect your iPhone. If the Microsoft Photos app doesn't pop up, you should open it manually.
i am not getting "trust or dont trust option" please help
That means your computer and iPhone have already established a trust connection. Open Microsoft Photos, select Import > From a USB device to transfer your photos.

What does the apple ucb cable look like
If you're using it to connect your iPhone to your computer, the cable is a Lightening-to-USB cable.
@@topcapable3473what if I use lighting cable to type-c. will that work..?
I don’t get this trust notification
If your computer has been connected to iPhone before, the trust prompt will not be displayed; if your computer still does not detect the connected iPhone, please restart your iPhone and reconnect it again.
@@topcapable3473I tried that and it still does not show the trust notification
but its difficult to find select photo from thousands of photos in 10-15 folders
After you connect your iPhone to your computer, open the Microsoft Photos app and select Import > From a USB device to preview the iPhone photos, then you can pick the photos you want to add to ccomputer.
What a secure password
We can’t use this now huh? After all iphone 14 didn’t use usb cable
You should use a USB-C to Lightning cable.
No DCIM folder mate, your tutorial is incomplete.
Unlock your iPhone and connect it to your computer, then open the Microsoft photos app and select Import > From a USB device to start loading your iPhone photos. Then select the photo to add to your computer.
