doesnt work.... when i dial my number, it says," this person has not set up their voicemail, goodbye." and disconnects. if I go to Settings and tap on Voicemail, it shows a number which when I call says the same message and disconnects

😊 when you had the keypad open you could see that pressing number 1 will take you to your voicemail settings/service to change your message

This is to change your voicemail settings. Not the voicemail app
I've got an S22 Ultra, hold 1 to open ur voicemail. Listen to the robot. Press 3 to open options. Change ur personal greeting with the numbers/settings the robot gives u. There's also changing ur "busy" voicemail, robot will tell u how.
I'm trying to revert it back to just my number being said for voicemail. I'm a Verizon mobile w Galaxy s8plus, whenever i9 go to voicemail or dial my # I get a page saying I cant connect to visual voicemail and to call a number? any help?
after entering the password, the instructions are to "go to voice mail settings". How is this done without handing up?

How do you set how many times the phone rings, before activating switch to voicemail option. My phone offers the chnace to leave a voicemail before I have time to answer it

Thanks to the commenter who provided the solution we came here for: to create your voicemail greeting, call your voicemail and listen to the prompts. One of them will be an option to record a greeting. BOOM!
