Worth remembering to centre your wheel at the straight ahead before you begin to save having to adjust your new wheel after it's fitted too. 😉

Hey man awesome video, do you reckon you could make a quick video on exactly what had to be done to get the horn to work ? I am contemplating installing a wheel but my biggest issue is the horn not working at the end :(

Yeah it bothered me too. I ended up switching back to stock.
Just be careful, if you get in an accident there can be serious issues with insurance since you removed the airbag. It does look sweet though.

I hate the way the hub and base looks. It doesn't look clean at all IMO. Will the DND wheel fit NRG's hub, do you know?
Did you ever find a way to cover up the gap?
Here I am 4 years after, with the DND wheel, short hub and quick release. It looks like my quick release didn’t include horn wires. And where you got your air bag light fix wire??
I didn’t remove my clock spring. Now my wheel is dumb heavy. Is that why?

Great video man. Did you make a video of you installing the horn that's the part that in stock and and I cant quite figure it out
I ended up running the wheel without a working horn. It involved some custom fabrication that I didn't know how to do, and I didn't really want to bother with it. They make plug and play hubs specifically for Miatas, but they are pretty pricy. I'm back to my stock steering wheel at the moment. Figured it was best to keep the airbag on my daily driver, and thought the money for the expensive hub could be spent better elsewhere on the car.
Trent Randal if you ever wanna try it again. After a lot of searching I found this video where this guy shows exactly how to do it and it seems pretty easy I'm gonna try it tomorrow.

I have an '02 Miata and it's an absolute damn shame the factory included Nardi wheels is so nice, it's the only thing keeping me from doing this to mine haha
I have a 99 with the nardi wheels. I had to switch cus I’m 6’1. I couldn’t take my foot off the clutch without hitting the wheel

I am looking aftermarket parts for a 2004 mx5 nb like yours (in europe the miata is called mx5), but I am not sure if your car is the 1.8L version or the 1.6L (in europe we have a 1.6L version, I don´t know if there too). Please, can you tell me if your car is the 1.8l or the 1.6l? My doubt is if your exhaust or coilovers, for example, could fit my 1.6 nb. Thanks a lot and keep posting new videos!
Hector 2000 Hey Hector! Mine is a 1.8. We don't have a 1.6 for nb's in the U.S. As far as the parts fitting your car, I would think the coil overs would fit, but I'm not sure about the exhaust. To be honest I wouldn't get this exhaust anyway. It was cool at first, but it's very loud and droney inside the cabin. I plan on switching to a roadster sport III shortly.

yeaah mine is droney at 3k and it goes away but i hear a hardtop and making sure there no exhuast leak at all helps pretty good. But i still love it though i might just weld in a cat and im sure it will kill a good bit of the drone.

Trent Randal thanks man, so has your light ever came back or this fixed it for good?
Patrick Barreras Nah its fixed for good. You plug it into the connector where the airbag is intended to go so there's no reason for the light to turn on. I used some electrical tape to hold it in securely.

Did you have any issues with reaching the wiper controls and indicators?
Yeah I had to lift my hand off the wheel a little to reach the indicator with this setup. I reverted back to stock after a while.

tholoris Yeah this wheel is smaller than the factory wheel. Slightly blocks your view of the top of the gauges.
