    Awesome !!, great video, I have 2018 murano, I need to have this done, New rotors and pads all the way around , I'm not able to do the work myself and I'm really worried where to go to have it done, because I want it to be done just like you did with proper torque ,cleaning, and greasing , alot of mechanic's just do not take the time to do job's properly and just don't go the extra mile to do the job to the of best of there ability and care as much as if it was there own car with there families safety in mind ,so I'm tossed right now I really need the job done with care and do not know where to go where as if I do not have to worry about the job being done right ?

      Yeah I feel ya. Most mechanics are like that. Hopefully you can find a small local shop with a trustworthy mechanic. Try to build a relationship with them. Dealership forget it, I do t trust them. Seen them mess up my cars too much and will charge you a fortune

    Can you please show a video of how to properly lift a Murano with an aftermarket jack, like the one you have, I keep having problems with my scissor jack, it keeps wanting to bend on me. Thanks

    • @HowToWithLech
      @HowToWithLech  Год назад +1

      I don’t have access to the car right now. But every car has a spot for the jack. Where you put your scissor one. You would just put the aftermarket one there. And lift same way

    I had the rear pads changed recently by an auto parts and I noticed today that the Murano Advance Driver display is no longer showing the warning/notice in the display that the foot break is still on when the car is put on drive “D”. Anyone knows what might be wrong?

    • @HowToWithLech

      They should fix that

    • @newbluerugby
      @newbluerugby Год назад

      How did you fix this? Was there an electrical component or computer need to properly fixing these rear brakes?

  • @ripd97
    @ripd97 5 месяцев назад +1

    You put a bit too much grease on the pads with your fingers, you should have sprayed the cleaner on them before installing the caliper.

      LOL!! Finally someone else says it.. you can see the spots

  • @newbluerugby

    Are the calipers electric on the 2016 model? After I said I do my brakes myself, the mechanic just told me I’ll need a computer in order to compress the piston back properly to program them with the car’s ECU. But the guy at the parts store just told me that’s not true. There’s no electric calipers on a 2016 Murano & it would just be “a regular brake job.”

    • @HowToWithLech
      @HowToWithLech  Год назад

      You are referring to the electronic parking break right? Not sure if the 2016 has it. You would see it connected to the caliper assembly. But still doable yourself I’m sure. I just did a Volvo with that. And showed how to retract it without the computer. Take a look at that video. Maybe will give you some tips.

      @@HowToWithLech thanks for your response. Long story short I was able to figure out that specific mechanic either lied to we so I wouldn’t do the job myself or told me something he didn’t know was wrong. (I prefer ignorance over deceitfulness all day long)

      @@newbluerugby or they were just clueless. its hard to find a good / honest mechanic these days. i avoid them unless trully needed these day. same with house repairs.

    Is ok only to change the damaged rotor or you need to change both sides

    • @salvadorzavala6110
      @salvadorzavala6110 3 месяца назад +1

      You can change only the Damage one.
      But it’s very important you replace both Brake pads.

    • @HowToWithLech
      @HowToWithLech  3 месяца назад

      If doing yourself. It’s cheap enough to do so. It if not. At least change the pads
