I picked up a new complete motor from Ebay but it does not have the round disc with the 9 holes (video at 11:49). Can I remove the from old unit and install in new motor? If so how did you remove that disc with out breaking it? Thanks

Hydraulic cylinders or motor? If cylinders it needs to be rebuilt with new gaskets etc. using a company called Top Hydraulics...cheapest option. Most expensive options is to buy a new one from BMW which cost 1k USD per cylinder.
with multimeter connect plus and minus terminal and try spinning it manually. if it works you should get an ohm reading that goes up and down while it turns
I just connected it with battery charger to positive and negative terminal for a second. If i hear the motor spins it's working. it might not be the best way to test it without connecting to the car.

@@fitlerofficial thanks mate. I've solved my issue by restoring the old one. Just scratch isolation a bit and solder new wires to the contacts.

its cheaper to get a new motor, then investing your time into rebuilding one. thats awesome that u can do it tho, nice man!!!
100% agree. It is cheaper, but I was curious what is inside and if I can make it run again.
It's not about the cost, it's about the satoyou get from being able to make something work again
