Great to see that you feature not only A Hanhart but THE Hanhart of the modern era here on the channel! I absolutely love this piece as it's extremely reasonably priced and so true to its original (even the crown, caseback as well as the strap does feature the historic Hanhart logo instead of the contemporary one). I was able to buy one with one of the first 10 (!) serial numbers as the new 417 ES has an unique and endlessly ongoing serial number. And I really love it! Watching this channel has began to cost me a lot of money recently. Saved by a couple of millimeters this time. Phew! ;)
Hard for me to choose between this or the sinn 356.. both have merits
Lovely piece, Andrew. Wish you’d had the nerve to flout some of the copywrite issues and shown some of the images of the Cincinnati Kid with his Hanhart.
Does he have a watch on in the Cincinnati Kid??? I don't think he does. The only watch that is shown in that film 🎥 is Edward G Robinson s Patek Philippe pocket watch
Interesting choice to take 'anti-magnetic' off the dial while leaving 'shockproof' like it's something special every modern watch isn't doing.
Yes. I like this new rendition over the original.
Excellent Watch indeed! The Hanhart PIONEER TwinDicator is stunning as well!
Great review very interesting to find out what watch Steve McQueen actually favoured on his wrist.
I would say the Submariner since he wore that the MOST the Monaco he only wore for Lemans a shame he never wore the Hanhart in a film 🎥 he also wore a Benrus military watch in Bullit
@@lonewolfemcquade8133 I tend agree however for me its not all about Rolex, I find it very interesting that he had the financial capabilities to obtain almost any watch he fancied. He must have had that fizz most of us feel when seeing the next watch all be it Rolex or other this why I find this subject interesting different things move different people in different ways.
@@joshuaphillips8408 for me it's vintage Rolex Submariners and Daytonas all the way. The new ones don't feel like tool watches anymore . I do have a Explorer 1 but I like many companies in the watch industry and definitely will be adding a Hanhart eventually. I'll only get the 417 if they make it smaller 40mm or 39mm like the original. If not I'll get 1 of the other pioneer models
@@lonewolfemcquade8133 I am with you on the Vintage Rolex's, The Daytona is a real stunner a proper watch in my book. Well done with obtaining the Explorer 1 again another lovely watch from Rolex, I am into all brands from Graham and dare I say the word TAG... I have 2 a Tag Heuer
2000 Series "my first watch" and the F1 gulf edition a long with micro brands. The watch I am looking for me has to give me that fizz..vintage Subs defiantly do that
all day long. I just don't like the new sub not because of what it is, its because of what it is beginning to represent? The Hanhart 417 is on the list.....;-)
@@joshuaphillips8408 yup just a status symbol watch that's all a dam shame really Tag Heuer has some nice stuff but I would love a vintage Heuer Autaiva or Carrera. I love Jack Heuer era of Heuer. I even like Doxa and are on my radar the Sharkhunter s are awesome
I have a Poljot that looks almost identical to this. Never knew it was an homage
Very very beautiful as good as anything from IWC And co. having watch the video I’ve decided to go and have a look how are you buy one
I own an older Sub - 20 years old to be exact. I also own this BB58 Blue. I've always felt the Sub should remain in SS but that's just a purist opinion. BB58 is a great watch and I enjoy it thoroughly for the reasons you've outlined here. Simple, perfect size really, and a good value.
Just checked the Hanhart website. "Available from May 2022". Form an orderly queue here please....you will not be disappointed!
I tune in, then tune out. You are too bloody clever. Fantastic knowledge. You're conversations are so intelligent, so funny. I can't keep up. I have a thought is was genuine, a Camel Trophy, works, but junk/fake. 2, no less Richard Mille, in my possession. China just copy?
This, over a Longine Big Eye, any day. And that's saying a lot because the Longine is very nice.
Absolutely fantastic
can you also do a review on Tutima?
Reminds me on some of the details of my Breitling navitimer ref 806 1959. Much cleaner dial One less sundial but similar. Both pilots watches with no frills. But I could buy four of these for what the Navitimer cost me two years ago. Really a great watch for the 💰.
With a Silitta movement not the same watch as the Hanhart of old.
I Love This Channel. Just one more question. Are you an auctioneer nights and weekends?? You'd be Good!!🎩🇺🇸🎩🇺🇸🎩
Best watch videos in the world 😍
Cool watch and good price, the “23 jewels” under the logo is a bit out of place….
I JUST bitched about this in regards to the Patek 5170(g) - NO Tachymeter...
$2,130.00 is a "bargain watch?" Yeah, for Bill Gates or Warren Buffet, or Zuckerberg. Jeez!
