JJ’s point is the last 2 seasons when AD was at his best he wasn’t even a top 10 player and that he won’t play if he’s not 100% he won’t play. So when he’s on the court he should be at his best.
The last 2 seasons ad was injured alot he was never fully healthy only a couple of games in the beginning of the season and in the last 2 seasons he averaged 22/8.5/3 with elite defence and 51% shooting

Exactly. A lot of these players we used to respect just aren't healthy, dominant, or passionate about basketball like they used too be. AD, Harden, etc. There are young guys coming up and some old guards still putting in work and are deserving of those spots. They gotta stop giving other guys spots just because of their name.

i'm a big laker fan and i can't put him top 10 anymore even though i had him as top 5 the year he won the championship. i just don't see the effort or hunger anymore. he has the talent and skill but he isn't preparing for the season and he isn't focused.

dude has more career points than a lot of stars with far less games .he avg a career of 23.8 points, 10.2 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 2.3 blocks as a big man. He is an 8x all star, NBA CHAMP, was an MVP candidate with the Pelicans twice and a 3x blocking leader. He was a definitely gonna get into top 75 thats a legendary career for a big man and dude never reached his peak.

The fact that Steph is 6'3 on a good day and is in a list of guys who the shortest is 6'7 speaks volumes on the fact that he's clearly above all other active guards! He's one of the all time greats and at his size his domination is freaking insane.
And no AD is nowhere near any of the guys listed
He is in the sense of his talent level. I get what Stephen A is saying. He is saying if he is fully healthy and playing night in and night out. His talent is top 7. His two way ability and guard skills at nearly 7 ft. He has a top tier post game, he has had a jumper in the past, he isnt just a rim protector because he averages 1.5 steals for a career. Like when he is at his best he is top 7. But JJ has a good point, maybe this is his best now. He is playing and averaging these numbers now. And these numbers dont put him top 7. I see both sides of the thing. If i could have like a draft and get one of these guys and I could know that none would get hurt. Im taking AD before some these guys.

@@mannypereyra4 kawhi in my opinion. How is he on the list when he has played even less than AD. And tbh because i havent seen Jokic be valuable on the defensive end much. Its really pulling hairs, do you value jokics playmaking over ADs defense? Because scoring wise AD has been as high as 28 PPG he can score. Thats not a question and he has been as high as nearly 3 blocks a game. Before injuries this year he was leading the NBA in blocks. And averaging 1.5 steals as a big man is ridiculous. He hasnt been as great of a rebounder as Jokic since joining the Lakers but thats also because since joining the lakers he has mainly been back at the 4 with an emphasis to make sure a true center is with him so its harder to double AD. Idk if you watch a ton of laker games its hard to stay up to date with teams that you aren’t necessarily a supporter of. I try to watch my Dubs and then bron is my favorite player so Laker games and Dubs games are what im subscribed too on NBA league pass. But if you watched the lakers… with AD they really are title contenders. He had 3 game saving defensive blocks within like a 2 week span early in the season. Like with AD and Bron the Lakers are a problem their pick and roll is so efficient with Bron being the playmaker in it. AD defensively has the mobility of Robert Williams, the shot blocking of a Myles turner or Gobert, the perimeter defensive skills of like a top tier not elite tier but top Wing. His hands for stripping ball handlers and intercepting passing lanes. Is superb for a big hence why his steals per game is so high. He averages the same amount of Steals per game as Draymond Green… and is .1 or .2 less than Jimmy Butler. So yes personally Kawhi is off the list imo. And id really be close on jokic vs AD. Because Jokic is a minus defender but i admit his playmaking is best at his position and with the tops in the whole league. Jokic is more valuable to his team, but talent wise id say AD is still more talented

If Amare Stoudemire would speak with confidence and conviction, he’d be a PHENOMENAL on air personality. He comes across as unsure and doubts himself and he shouldn’t because he’s an incredible player with a unique perspective. I wish him well and I hope he makes it. Dude seems under appreciated as a player so I hope he makes it huge in media.

I was pissed years ago when they kept saying he was a top 5 player. They gave him extra credit for playing with Lebron when every one of Lebrons great teammates have won along side him. When has AD been the clear #1 guy and been as successful as those 7? The answer is never. Clearly he's a better 2-way player than Jokic and Luka, but if you think the impact in the difference that his defense brings is more valuable than the difference their offense brings compared to his, you're just looking at numbers and saying "close enough". He is not a playmaker, he's a bucket and a great defender. For a big he can dribble, too, but without another big man next to him, he really isn't that special offensively. That's why he wants to play PF and look better for it.
All of these clowns left out Kawhi Leonard in that list.

Quite frankly, when "healthy" there are 3 other guys I'd put ahead of AD: Kawhi, Butler, and Tatum. As far as defense is concerned, Luka's defense may be terrible, but his offensive is so prolific that I'd have to rank him top 2 on the list to go along with KD. Curry and Jokic aren't exactly known for their defense, but LeBron now is too old and slow defensively to even rank ahead of those guys. The list of players I'd rank ahead of AD in order:
1. Giannis
2. Embiid
3. Jokic
4. Luka
5. Kawhi
6. KD
7. Curry
8. Tatum
9. Butler
10. LeBron

Got swept once in first round and gentleman swept in 2nd round the other time and played a total of 12 or 13 games in playoffs before LA happened. Luka has played like 30 games in 4 seasons with no second star and has had his team comfortably in the playoffs every year apart from rookie year.

Whether Embiid is 100% healthy or 70% healthy, he (along with the top 7 players) is still better than Anthony Davis for the last 2 years. You have to take into consideration health too, because you’re not signed on the play a portion of the season, you’re signed with the expectation to be available every game (ie. D Rose not getting a max after his injuries, T Mac back then, etc.) Not sure if those were ideal examples but i hope I made my point
