      Curry could drop 50 at least 70% of the time if he wanted but the way the warriors play is team ball and they rack the assist to around 30 a game. We saw what curry did this season when the gameplan changed and he had to take over. Trae doesnt even get double team more or less triple team and ppl say well curry dont see the floor that well like they are so delusional bc curry 90% of the time passes it to a open man and 60% they miss that ain't his fault. But on the other hand trae is my fav player in the playoffs rn and if he can take this bucks team to 6 or 7 and win or lose I would say his ceiling is higher I believe he can do it.

      @Vis - You obviously don't understand how this works. Trae is only 22 and not even in his prime. Steph is 33 and has already reached his peak. Just by that alone Trae has a higher ceiling. And sure, maybe Trae will never get there but the sky is still the limit for a guy who is 22 and is better than Steph was at 22.

      @@David-lf6rr Yes, it was similar situation like KD's game 7 against the bucks, Steph didn't get single offensive prduction from anyone. Klay missed that game. Kd didn't play that game, even players like Kevon looney who helped them usually was injured. Steph was scoring like crazy. but, whats the point. you could argue Kd's game 7 against the bucks was close, but in that finals series against toronto steph had better offesive numbers when compared to both teams, but ultimately, Raptors won that game, Kwahi was also playing well. It doesn't matter. Warriors would be back,they need a decent team to go up against the likes of Lakers .

    Max actually never tells it like it is with Steph. He glosses all of Curry’s playoff achievements, glorious games, and championships We can of course hope to see explosive games from Steph, and it’s disappointing when he doesn’t deliver.       @@imalpha4471 Because some players peak early. Steph had a slower start due to ankle injuries and a transitional management period with the warriors. Steph really hit his stride in 2013. Young is having early success, but it is dangerous to assume that means he will be this good over a long career. I have watched basketball for a while and have seen plenty players peak early and fall off. Penny Hardaway, Derrick Rose, Brandon Jennings, Michael Redd, etc. Too early in his career for takes like that. For example, He wasn't very good this regular season

      @@imalpha4471 You have to understand that when you say his ceiling is higher than Curry’s you have to realize that you are talking about a guy who is recognized as a lock top 5 PG all time, some would even consider the greatest PG ever. A 3x champion, 2x MVP; only ever unanimous MVP, 7x all star and all-NBA, 2x scoring champ, and a 1x steals champ. Do you really think Trae Young will accomplish all that and more? Steph still has a few more years of high level basketball to add to that as well

      @@str8Jonesing Trae draws doubles but it’s not the same as Steph, Steph requires the team to build their entire defensive game around stopping him which gives his teammates many open shots. Best examples of this are the 2017 and 2018 finals where the Cavs would literally let KD have a wide open fastbreak dunk then leave Steph on the perimeter. Curry also faced 80 double teams in the 2018 finals compared to just 2 double teams on KD

      He can never claim to be data oriented because of that. He reduces the sample size down to just a few games and judges players' mental fortitude based on that.       He never will be. He's 3 inches shorter than Steph and not a great shooter, let alone the GOAT shooter. Steph's only weakness is a lack of size and he towers over Trae. The better Trae gets, the harder they will defend him. Right now they leave him open on the perimeter because he's not a big shooting threat.     Max isn't wrong. Trae is only 22 years old, when steph was 22 he was averaging 18 and 5 assists, nobody predicted how good he would become. Trae at 22 is leading a team to a deep playoff run in the ecf and beating teams like sixers w more talent than his. Trae has a higher ceiling.

Maybe it’s when the Blazers were supposed to win in the western conference finals because KD was out and Curry was going to get “exposed” and averaged 37 to Dame’s 22 with Klay and Dray playing badly. Or is it when he gets doubled and triple teamed more than any other player in NBA history in the regular season, playoffs and finals?     KD was 0 for 6 when the season is on the line in the OT of Game 7 this year but nobody talks about that. Max always say Steph chokes on the finals, but he never talks about why was Steph playing in the finals not other players??? because they can't even make it there.

    Trae has a bigger ceiling than Curry just like Kawhi was more clutch than Kobe, Lillard was more clutch than Curry while getting swept by him in 2019 without Durant in a series where Steph averaged like 36 points a game, just like Brady was falling off a cliff.

    They both miss the biggest point. Curry changed the game, allowing guys like Young to play the same type of game Curry has. We all remember almost everybody didn't give Curry a chance. Young can play the way he can, because Curry paved the way for this type of play.

    Max’s take isn’t even that bad. Trae is just getting started. He doesn’t even have a superstar next to him yet like Steph did and like all these other teams do. The Hawks don’t have any all stars, all nba, or all defensive players. The ceiling is through the roof for Trae.
