Do they ship to UK and would this help people going through the change , my face looks like its sunburnt 😅
Really missing updates, I hope you both are doing well.
Nobody is going to fault you for being a good son and small business owner. Do what you must and get your whole life. CHEERS!
I lost my dad a year ago. I got to spend the last 8 years of his life caring for him, and the first 3 of those years caring fit mom also. I wouldn’t trade those memories for anything. You’re creating both history for the world, and memories for yourself. Nothing but love and support for you in all of your endeavors ❤
I have to laugh when people think they are entitled to tell you how you should spend your time. Most of us love whatever video you put together. Keep up the great work!
Right??!! Where do people get the gall?
When you don't have a life of your own to keep you busy you start to supervise others!😂
There rae always contingencies in construction, hardly everything can be planned linearly. It's the reality of the field.
At least your reaction is to laugh. My reaction, unfortunately, is to think, "Them's fightin' words!" and jump to Kaleb's defense! Like he needs MY help! 😂 I just find it infuriating that people can't just sit back and enjoy, Kaleb works hard - sometimes on his Brown house and sometimes on the Lustron. It's all interesting and it's all hard work. He's not just twiddling his thumbs over there!
@@pinkvolo
Ah, the hallmark of a Karen! Nothing going on in her own life, so she decides to supervise someone else's. You're exactly right!
No apologies necessary, Kaleb! It's always great to see you when you can make a video. 😊
As a teacher who was a blogger turned podcaster, now a retired teacher turned podcast producer/editor, I know that things change. Passions change. Responsibilities change. Health changes too, which is why it’s important to not spread too thin and take care of you and family first. And of course, life happens when it happens. I think most of us get that. Thank you, kind sir!
Dear Kaleb, I lost my Dad 20 years ago so I love how you're getting to spend so much time with yours and creating memories, plus these wonderful time capsules to share with all of us. Don't be worrying about time schedules except where you must. It will all get done eventually, but do have some care for your own self too. Naps are your friends!
Follow your dreams, follow your plan! There will always be grumblers, don't let them get in your head.
I for one, am always happy to watch a craftsman at work, whatever you may be working on!
Your doing fine, don't worry about grumbling people, it's important to spend time with your dad, I sure miss mine, do whatever you need to , love all to you and family, ❤❤❤❤ and Sandy too, 😊
What you choose to do with your time is your business. Enjoy every minute of the time with your father.
There is no need to apologize
This is what you do. You do it well. We are glad you are enjoying working with your dad. That’s an important thing. Keep up the good work.
I think that is wonderful you are working with your father. Your father sounds like a character who pays a lot of attention to details.
The time you spend with your Dad is a treasure! It’s Grand you have similar interests in preservation that you can enjoy together while working towards your goals. Kaleb, I am happy to see how you both are keeping History alive & that you have a close bond, too many families are broken apart. One day you will be able to show your & Kim’s children the buildings their father & Grandfather worked on together to return St. Louis to her former glory.
No apologies necessary. This work takes time to do properly and must be done by the visionaries. I’m watching no matter what or when, I’m excited!
You’re now set up comfortably enough in your house and if nothing is leaking or falling apart then go ahead and help your dad without feeling stressed about it. You might miss one season of outdoor work or not get as much of it done but in the long run it won’t matter as much as investing the time in your dad and your shared business. We’ll all continue to watch your channel because seeing the results of your hard work and expertise in any endeavor is entertaining.
Comfortably? Really? No kitchen isn't comfortable , it's a problem imho
@@rollandjoesephIf you consider what they’ve put up with in the past, then…yes. Comparatively speaking they’re way more comfortable than what they were. They now have a shower and a nice half bath as well. I’m sure they’ve figured out how to manage food without a kitchen for now. Their house is a massive undertaking that will take years, so getting frantic about it and in a rush will result in flipper-like quality and that’s the opposite of what Kaleb’s about. I’ve lived through long term and very intense renovations and the key to it is to figure out a way to set up living quarters that are at least workable and to maintain neatness and order in those areas while you make progress on the project you’re focusing on at the time. Kaleb is obviously a person who values connections. This shows in everything he does. He seems to understand that the time spent helping his dad has intrinsic value for the long run. Doing these huge renovations and living on the premises isn’t for everyone. It’s very hard work along with simultaneous sacrifice but the payoff will be worth it.
Please don’t apologize for following your dreams! You also don’t need to apologize for living your life! Helping your father is a wonderful thing😊 I will be here watching your videos whether it be on the old Victorian or the new Lustron house. Your father seems just as creative as you are! These kitchy air b&b homes are so cool. Please tell Kim hello.😊 Hoping Eric’s hand heals quickly 🙏
Sorry to hear Eric got hurt. Hope he heals fast 🙂 The Lustron is looking great! Can't wait to see it finished 😃
I love seeing the houses come together. You are making living history for everyone to enjoy. How unselfish of you. Thank you so much for sharing it with us. ❤
Loving EVERYTHING you (and your dad) are doing to save pieces of history. ❤
Kaleb, you just keep right on living your life as you see fit. The love of family n friends is far more important as to what people think you should do. We love whatever you bring to us on video so make no apologies. ♥️♥️😊👍👍👍🌟
I LOVE that blue colour on the Lustron house, it's beautiful.
You're a legend! Yes we've gotten spoilt with the regular videos in the past, but you're stretched thin with all these projects. Love hearing about them when you find time to update, but look after yourself first. All the best from Canada!
Whatever house you are working on - I enjoy it all! Every spect of every project is an entertaining and learning experience for me! ❤️ Thank you for letting us be a part of your life. 😘
I think working with your father is great. Time that will be remembered always. Keep up.
I lost my mother last year, and my father is in declining health. I would give anything to make the kinds of memories you're building with your father. While I wish you recorded more of your time on those projects, I know how cumbersome that is, especially when you're against a deadline. Just know that we're here for you and look forward to whatever updates you can provide.
Sometimes it's worth it to do a father son family type project. Some day your parents will be gone. But you'll have those memories the same as your Victorian house. Have a good time doing what you love to do.
Life's more complicated than pressing and holding the "A" button. Even though you might wish you could sometimes. Hope Eric gets well soon. No apologies are necessary good sir.
You work on whatever project you want to work on. Its no one's business but you're own. I enjoy your videos no matter what they're about. I'm a fan.
As much as I enjoy watching your house to home videos, I love that you are following your heart and creating forever memories with your family project. I'm enjoying all your videos.
Your dad sounds so amazing! Both of you are blessed to have one another ❤ I’m a 1955 baby, I really appreciate seeing it all.
Same same!
Caleb, what a wonderful time we'll spent working on projects with your Dad. Skills and memories can not be bought
The Lustron exterior is looking gorgeous.
That paint job! 😙👌(Lame attempt at a chef's kiss LOL) The colors are great and it looks so smooth and pretty! Coming right along!
RUclipsrs such as yourself remind us that life is a journey and not an endpoint. Yeah, we all want to see the finished product when you finish the Lustron and the Brown House. But let's not forget that there have been so many "finish lines" along the way. The Lustron is looking really nice. I think it's a nice distraction. I can't wait to see the next little accomplishment you make on either project.
I wouldn’t call it a complicated mess, I would call it life, funtimes and memory making. ❤
Dude, you are young. Go ahead and spread yourself thin woking on passion projects. When you are old you will thank your younger self...as will all the generations to come that will enjoy the fruits of your hard work! A very old, very wise, very Zen path you are on. 😇
Oh yes being with your father is special and if I could I would do the same. You are truly blessed and so is your father. Love your videos. Tell Kim Hi and your pups and kitters God Bless
People are MAD about this?? I love this switching back & forth between these 2 houses!! MORE of this, not less
Take care of yourself, Caleb. I know you have so much going on right now, but you also need your time! Don't burn out!
It doesn’t matter to me whether we see renovations of your house or your dad’s house. They are both so interesting!! Carry on and keep us updated.
The metal polishing couldn’t come at a better time as an example for me on one of my metalwork projects coming up. It all encourages my own progress. Sometimes progress is nice and gradual, other times slow. But progress is progress!
It has been a month and we miss you guys.
The Lustron looks great! I'm sure you can put it together just like you and your father dream about. Hopefully you can concentrate on your own house again soon. It's your choice to help your father, especially if you have fun while doing it.
Best wishes to Eric for healing his finger.❤
Thank you for sharing your experience with us!
I hope everything is alright with you and don't listen to the people who force you to make videos. Family first. Look after yourself and your family first and make sure you don't burn out. You only have one life to enjoy. Greetings from Switzerland 🇨🇭
Kim is a natural star at the beginning of the video. So beautiful 🤩 Great work Kaleb, John and crew 😊
I like seeing the difference of what gets your father ticking and what thrills you, Kaleb. A grand 2nd Empire mansion vs. Lustrons and Christmas houses? I love it! Acquisition-wise, I really love the luthier buffer. Now when winter comes and there's nothing you can do outside, it will be cool to see you take off the brass hardware from your fabulous spiral wood doors and buff them to a day-one shine. And as everyone else here is saying, cherish your time with your dad. An early Happy Father's Day to him, and best wishes to you and Kim.😊
Awesome work as usual ❤I can’t wait to see that all finished and it’s amazing you can do the work with your dad. As others have said, no one has a right to tell you what to do with your time and your channel. If they don’t like it they can move along. So many people love what you are doing and your passion for these projects is inspiring. You do you and don’t worry about anyone else.
I adore the color of the Lustron. What a wonderful house.
YAY for you AND your DAD, Kaleb. You will be FOREVER GRATEFUL for this time later in your life. So GOOD FOR YOU BOTH!!!. Take the time, I don't think anyone that matters, is going to care. I don't matter, but I am personally very happy for you. As well as your dad. I'm not going anywhere. ❤ Enjoy your life, do what YOU want.
Don't stress, I am following you and all of your tallent for creating.
It's nice to have regular videos and I know I am really excited and waiting for the outside repairs but I will be here no matter how long it takes. 🙂
I'm always glad to see the progress on whatever projects you're working on: Lustron, Victorian, or equipment. I love seeing them all come together, becoming more beautiful each time. Good luck with the lift as well!
Agree!!!
Extra points for choosing the Fallout Vault colors for the Lustron! That should encourage fans to check it out. You've shown your Dad helping you out over the history of the Brown house restoration, so it's only reasonable that you would help him achieve his vision. You made the choice to leave behind your 'day job' to take this on and jump into RUclips, so it only makes sense that you would spend quality time with your Dad because you can. So many people are chained to the daily grind and due to distance only see their family on rare occasions. It's clear where you got your values and interest in artsy things of age and quality. Sorry to hear that Eric had an injury, but glad it wasn't worse. Always put safety before filming!!
No pressure Bruh. You're just 1 awesome person... take a breath
This is your life and future. Why do random strangers think they have a say so in how you spend your time? I enjoy watching whatever you choose to share.
Life happens and things break! Just go with what feels right and enjoy the time with you Dad!!!! We all can wait for your video's ! We love this channel ! I'm not going any where so when you post I will be watching!!!!!
Hi Kaleb, it's your life and your business. Whatever you need to do for family, you do. Much love and respect ❤
Enjoying the journey every day is more important than the destination ... take care of yourselves Caleb and Kim plus family and fur babies ❤
Still with you Caleb! Been watching since you started. Keep sending those videos no matter what house you are in!
NEVER enough time or money! LOL 🤣
I was thinking about y'all and having slight withdrawal symptoms!😂
I’m just along for the ride. Do what you do & I’ll watch what you put out when I can just like you put out content when you can. No pressure on you or me. 😊
❤ I see where you get the creativity and artistic skills!! What an awesome Dad! The yellow and blue look so good. He clearly imparted his love for history too. Your channel, your life, your Dad!! You do you! ❤
What a blessing the apple didn't fall far from the tree. You are multi talented and so is your father. My Father was very handy just like the both of you. Where as my brother doesn't know one end of a screw driver from the other. Keep up the good work.
I am thoroughly enjoying this journey you are on, thank you for all your videos.
Caleb, I absolutely love the updates from both houses, I'd love to see footage of the Christmas house and more of all of the others! Thank you so much for sharing your time and efforts with all of us! I have found all of your videos interesting and informative and I always look forward to the new ones! Thank you and Kim and your Dad for inviting us into your homes!
I searched my town, Omaha, for Lustrons. The one left made me cry😢. Thanks for respecting our roots. Too cool.
I LOVE WATCHING BOTH PROJECTS YOUR DADS PLAICE IS AMAZING 💕🇦🇺💕
Missing the updates, hope all is well in St Louis with both the houses.
It’s nice to see Kim! Both houses are looking good!
Good luck with all the things you are trying to juggle right now! Do what makes you happy as we only live once and time with family is precious 😊
well, personally I'd be happy watching a video of you taking the dogs for a walk or watching paint dry! Keep up the good work!
I love both of the houses! I’ve got a fascination for both eras!
You're working so hard, doing so many great things!! Keep up the good work & don't worry about getting a ton of videos out. This all takes time. ❤
Hi Caleb and Kim great to see you back at it ,I just wanted to say if there's anyone who doesn't care that you care about history and preservation they're in the wrong place the Lustron is equally worth your time what a fabulous job you've all done catching it before it's gone!
Hi Kaleb, the Lustron is also very interesting,so unique.Do not work yourself to the bone, you need rest too💚.You are awesome😃.Hopefully things will work out for you, fingers crossed ✌
You can do this🍀💪
You have so much going on, when do you sleep lol. No need to apologise, whenever you do a video is a bonus. I think it's great you want to leave a legacy with all you are doing with the resorations on all of the projects. Your legacy will be leaving your city better than when you came for sure, and part of your legacy are these wonderful videos, thank you for that.
Your channel is to share your work. I don’t care what decade of house you are working on, I love that you are sharing it. I’d love to see some detailed projects from the Lustron house. How do those metal closets fit together? Setting up the kitchen? Just share it all. ❤
Please stay safe with those belt drivers, would hate to see someone get scalped :(
LOVE the paint job on the Lustron - that mix of blue with the yellow is one of my fave vibes!
OMG, I didn’t realize how much I would miss seeing you and your projects - Steven in TX
You do what you have to do! We are just happy to share the ride.
As someone who has watched my entire family pass away over 5 decades I want to say definitely keep doing things with your dad and any family. And for any one who wants to challenge my claim. All 4 grandparents died before I was out of school. Dad passed right after I graduated. All 4 of my dad's siblings and their spouses before I was 40. As well as my mom's brother and his wife. My mother was almost 8 years ago and my only brother 4 years ago. My oldest nephew a year ago. And many cousins. I have no children. So no one that direction. And I'd love more time with most of them. Enjoy your family. They could be gone before you know it. Loved seeing Kim in the beginning. Y'all have a wonderful week.
I love your show! I’ve learned a lot! I think it’s great that you work so much with your wife and your Dad, what a blessing to be able to! And you’re a wise man to take advantage of the blessings you’ve been given. Time is so valuable and to be able to earn a living working with family is fantastic!
The right tools for any job are so important, well worth the investment of your money.
That sounds so cool! I hope they will create much interest. I would certainly love to stay in the Lustron home . I love history and staying in historical restorations would be like stepping into that time period!
There is absolutely no reason for you to apologise or justify yourself in any way, you have a life beyond RUclips and that is your family, friends and two lovely homes that I myself find most interesting. And it sounds like you and your father are enjoying the process and that is so important, I lost my father to cancer 9 years ago and we sadly never got the chance to share in our passion for vintage cars and steam trains 😢 so I guess what I'm trying to say is, treasure every moment and live every day as your last when it comes to the people who are dear to you.
As for the channel, anyone with anything about them will completely understand and be totally behind you with both such wonderful projects and always look forward to seeing whatever you do both do. All the best to you both😊
What a nice surprise! I've been wondering how things have been going! I hope you, kim and the furbabies are well! Have fun with your dad's house and your's!!!! Love the time lapse footage. 🩷
I can see movie production scouts hitting you up to film in those houses!
I learn such history from you and Kim (and Dad). Keep up with your passions, cheers
I enjoy your videos. You are so kind to share your life with us and we are better for it.
Great to see you again Kim even if its just a promotional moment, Caleb I think you must have been born too late, you're meant to be living in the previous century, I do love the green that you've used, thanks for this update, cheers!!!🥰👍👍👍👍👍
I love seeing all the updates on both houses! Thanks for the video as always 💛
The Lustron, while definitely weird, is also very cool! I enjoy seeing the videos. And I'm glad you are being a good person. (Sandy is lovely!)
Love seeing updates on both houses. Just don't burn out
7:44 - Heh, at least you could try a little ECG Electrical Contact Cleaner on the controller connector if you want to see if that'll help.
Otherwise, it could be the ol' lift is just feeling its age in some other part :( Hopefully not. Lustron is looking beautiful after the paint job!!
I think the Lustron is coming along nicely 👌. Do I also anticipate a Brown Mansard update? Of course, but it's a Kaleb video, and I'll take what I can get! I can't wait to see when the Lustron is finished, I'm betting probably much sooner than the Brown Mansard. I guess I just love restorations.
I'm definitely enjoying both places. I'm here for it! Great job
Caleb I think it's Amazing what You and what your Dad is doing! People STAY in your Lane. 😉
Can't wait to see the progress at the Lupron as well! Love both of your projects!
enjoying the crazy side projects updates every bit as much as your own project. Do what you need to do! ZenHugs all round!
Loving the yellow on the Lutron. Always enjoy your videos!
Hello from the heart ❤️ of Illinois USA 🇺🇸 Kaleb & Kim!
I was fascinated by Lustrons before your dad bought one, please show us more!
I love the jumping between 1890s and 1950s. Do what you love, support your loved ones in their passions.
Do I want to see the Brown house finished? Yes! I picked up the channel around episode 15 and have followed since. As someone who grew up in an old house, any repair or reno took 20% longer than expected and anywhere from 10-40% over budget. But it will happen on the house's schedule
