Thank you for paying attention to workflow aspects and for the graphics engine! However... Like other users are echoing in these comments (and in all the others), could you please listen to your customers, and do a midi/pianoroll-focused update, with midi comping as its centerpiece. This is what your customers want. They want this on the wishlist, they want this on the forums, they want this in the youtube comments...
All this seems dope, but I most likely won't be renewing my subscription based on what I see here. I simply don't need these things. I NEED midi comping, that works fluently with the audio comping feature, which I use, ALL THE TIME. It's frustrating that this feature exists for audio, but not for midi.
It was an oversight to begin with not to pair midi comping with audio comping, for which you probably had reasons. I love the work that you do, but... come on. Do we need to wait for years and years and years for this feature like with the MSEGs? It's what your customers want. And you are running a subscription model. In such a model, you have an obligation to center the needs of your customers in your updates. If you want to run wild with whatever it is that YOU are interested in, and tell the customers to deal with it, change the subscription model into good old fashioned 'buy it once, own it for life' one. You can't have it both ways.

@@dimitrimitropoulos It takes less than 30 minutes to code, with some coffee/cigarette breaks. The things holding me back from Bitwig aren't missing devices, but basic workflow issues. Namely previewing multiple notes, and printig currently incoming midi notes in the piano roll (like Ableton step recording mode). The alternatives Bitwig offers (clicking on each note individually to preview, and drawing in each note by hand [only estimating correct pitch because pressed notes are not visible in the piano roll grid]) slow down the process so much that I cant't leave Ableton for now.

I love Bitwig and will continue to use it. BUT IT IS NOT A PROPER DAW. And it will NOT be a proper DAW until you fix the absolutely horrible MIDI support. PLEASE give this your attention in the next update because I'm getting fed up waiting now. For clarity, I mean: 1. MIDI export only does one thing, all tracks at once from start to finish, which is SO limiting, and 2. It doesn't export piano pedal CCs, which makes it UTTERLY USELESS FOR SHARING PIANO PERFORMANCES. How long are you going to make us wait for these (to me) essential features? Am I really going to have to keep Cubase hanging around indefinitely just so I can use it to export my piano solos as MIDI to send to people I collaborate with? This is unacceptable and I'm getting quite irritated about it now, as you can probably tell. Please pause at some point in between adding all these wonderful new devices and finish writing your MIDI functions, finishing them as they should have been finished in version 1.
As I said, I do love Bitwig and continue to sing its praises far and wide... but this MIDI thing really lets you down. :(

To be 100% clear: I wouldn't dream of demanding a new feature. This isn't a new feature: it's a bug. I want a bug fix. If they can't be bothered to fix MIDI export, they shouldn't bother including it. And I don't think it's unreasonable of me to expect that a DAW should do all the basic things any DAW usually does. I just want to be able to have a single DAW on my machine and not be forced to get another one just to do one simple thing that should be provided as standard. I'm not backing down on this. Bitwig is wonderful, but very broken in one small area - this should be repaired as soon as possible.

If both were implemented I’d buy 2 licenses and don’t even use them cause I would upgrade my personal one. But bitwig decided not to look at what end users want. Those are solid new features but I really can live without them or substitute them with already existing plugins.

I'm a fan of Bitwig Studio, but the only thing that puts me off is the lack of any helpers, chord pads, scale assistants, and the fact that there's still no ability to use video and preview it. Why? It's 2024, in any DAW there is the possibility to select the key, highlight it, show when you're not in the key, transpose from one key to another with one mouse click, create chords, and in general manipulate notes however you like, but in Bitwig Studio, they seem to ignore this and pretend it's not needed. As is happening in other Daws:
    Add AI such as:
-ADD the option in the track the option to separate
an audio track with its instruments
such as. Drums, vocals, bass, piano, etc.
    (STEMS SPLIT) or (GENERATE STEMS)
Other updated daws have added this
    option, such as
    -Logic-11
    -Tracktion Waveform
    -Audacity
All these daws have already added the option.
There is a plugin called (Openvino) that allows you to add
    modules in the context menu.
-They could also improve Bitwing interface design
    colors and skins. 🙌🤞
