    I love how Bitwig uses sandbox to handle the VST and not crash the daw when problems arrives. Dope feature.

    What I like the most about Bitwig:
    - I don't need any plugins
    - the grid makes understanding how synths and effects work easier
    - the modulations!

      For realistic sounding imitations of actual instruments, like strings, brass, pianos etc... I still use kontakt and roland stuff, but if you're staying strictly in electronic music territory, there's literally zero reason to use synth vsts, because bitwig has it all. I love it so much!

    • @brianbergmusic5288

      If you are a synthesizer enthusiast, Bitwig is truly a one-stop shop. It's like Reaktor on easy-mode with quicker results, and I've used Reaktor. Great synthesizer work has been created with far less.
      I'm sure a Poly-Grid wizard can create some physical modelling stuff that allows synthesized orchestral sounds -- maybe one day.
      Bitwig Studio edition does feature some high-fidelity multi-sampled orchestral sounds, but they are strictly combination patches. If you are serious about orchestral arranging, you need to look elsewhere for solo or individual ensemble patches (example: ONLY the french horns, or ONLY an oboe, etc.)

      Modulation ain’t everything. Especially tedious to use one like in itwig.
      No thanks. I prefer to use 3rd party plugins cause I can detach interface and adjust several plugins parameters at the same time. No need to point out that I can do that with macros on track because it’s not a solution but tedious useless workaround. Like pretty muck everything itwig bitwig community come up with. Sorry, forgot. Best daw ever. What a great update! Shit mantra though…

    • @jonirischx8925
      @jonirischx8925 3 месяца назад +4

      @@vroteg I really don't understand your criticism. 3rd party plugins can be viewed simultaneously, so you can adjust several plugin parameters at the same time? I'm sorry, but you can only click and drag one knob at the time with your mouse, 3rd party or no. So you literally can't adjust them 'at the same time'.
      And assigning macros is a perfectly reasonable solution for this. If you know you use VST X and VST Y all the time, you can save them as presets with the macros already assigned to the parameters you use most often, for example cutoff, resonance etc... Then it literally takes 2 clicks to adjust the parameter if you have a different track selected, 1 click if you have the relevant track selected. You're telling me 2 clicks is too much menu diving for you? How? Do you usually control the DAW telepathically or something?
      This is how adjusting parameters works in all DAWS. You click the device you want to control, you adjust the parameter. Ofc you can have all your VSTs open on a separate monitor for absolute optimization, to use only 1 click per adjustment at all times, but most people use so many plugins and devices, that no monitor can accommodate them all simultaneously, so I don't understand what your problem is.
      And lastly, HOW IS BITWIG'S MODULATION TEDIOUS? It's literally the most optimized modulation system in the world. It is physically impossible to streamline it more. To modulate any parameter, you click a modulator, and then click the parameter. Literally 2 clicks. One click for the modulator. One for the parameter. You literally cannot make it simpler than this, because modulation always needs a modulator, and a modulated parameter. In bitwig this works with 2 mouse clicks. How on earth would you make it less tedious? This is the most efficient way possible to modulate things.
      If you don't like playing around with modulation, just say so. Because saying Bitwig's modulation system is tedious, is objectively talking absolute nonsense.

    The grid will keep you up all night, building ridiculous contraptions that make impossible sounds. The Sampler though, is my favorite part of Bitwig. You can drag pretty much anything into it and create some pretty cool sounds. Phase 4 is my favorite synth. Takes a minute to get used to FM synthesis, but once you do, it's dope. If you have the reason rack plugin, it works great in Bitwig and it's easy to use the players like beatmap with the Bitwig drum machine and create algorithmic drums. I use that for a starting point sometimes.

    • @jonirischx8925
      @jonirischx8925 21 день назад

      @@jamman6 Except that this is not true. There is nothing inherently in ProTools that makes it more geared towards rock music. You're talking about certain communities favoring certain DAWs, like FL being popular among hip hop producers.
      But people like Benn Jordan (who has never made hip hop) use FL. And the same is true of every DAW.
      Every DAW can record audio. So just use whatever DAW seems attractive to you in terms of its features, and play your guitar. It makes no difference.
