Hey bud, there certainly is a way to make this happen “good enough”, I used software to convert Joy Con controllers to a virtual DualShock 4 controller, then open RE 5 in Steam Big Picture so you can configure controls. Set the controls to the template “Keyboard and Mouse”, Map Gyro to mouse control, make sure it’s set to Yaw and not Roll, set “R Bumper” to turn off Gyro so you can reset the cursor to screen center when you need it, then map the rest of the buttons to RE 4 style. Good luck to you, I’ve been loving it!
You know I've never thought of that. Using Joycons on PC has always been a little too "out there" for me. I'll defiantly have to give it a try. Maybe I'll make a follow up video for it.
@@Corygarry How exactly do you center the cursor? Steam Input has a cursor positioning feature for centering the mouse cursor which works for the menus and inventory, however does nothing for the actual aiming cursor. I cannot fathom how this can be the case.
@@Mr.Welbig unfortunately I can’t get the Steam cursor recentered to work in game, only in the menus. Just have to have a button to turn off gyro control when held, so you can recenter manually. I find it works good enough.
@@Corygarry Blast. I use Action Layers to switch the controller to a virtual keyboard and mouse on the fly when aiming. If the aim cursor would just center upon aiming then it could be the perfect motion control scheme. Alas RE5s mouse handling just won't allow it.
I remember people talking about how the Wii couldn't even show the starting screen of Resident Evil 5.
This should have much more views

@@Mr.Welbig I used the software REWASD to convert the Joy Con, they won’t work natively without some kind of in between.

Good thing that they didn't put the game on the Wii then
:'( Is it good to dream that I'd go out for the wii?
Es extraño pero yo recuerdo haberla jugado en wii
