    I can't find the specific video I saw but I wanted to tell you that you helped me. In one of your videos your coach was skating behind you instructing you to go really wide with your strides, and the key words he said were "feel it loading up." I realized that one of the things limiting how fast I can go is that I wasn't steering back in from the outside before pushing off on my inside edge. I've started doing this and it has opened up much improved speed and efficiency. Thanks for posting!

    Sharing this with my skaters! Thanks Victor!
    Also, the banded 1LS are great to help keep that knee from caving in- a power killer and bad for the knees too.

    Thank you very much for this! I just started inline skating with a team again after taking off for 10 years... And really need exercises to help me gain balance and control. My form needs much improvement... so these are great! 😊

    You should consider doing martial arts like tai chi, hung gar etc. they focus loads on form like this and stance training. I’d imagine You’d transition effortlessly 👍

    Hello, Victor! You’ve got a very good channel, a golden source for me personally. Could you please tell me if I understood it right from the description, that I should do 30 secs for each leg, so that’a gonna be 1 min exercise actually?

      Ramakrishnan Devarajulu as long as actual skating remains the main focus, this can safely be done regardless of the age of the skater :)

    Thanks for the exercises! What is the strap your using in the last exercise? I've been making the transition to indoor skating lately and could really use more exercises that focus on building strength for turns

      Just a simple band. If you wanna challenge core/hip control, you can try with a rather firm elastic band instead :)

    From what age is it advisable to do these exercises? My girl is 7 years old and is practicing speed skating. Thanks for your answer.

    • @thorupviktor
      @thorupviktor  5 лет назад +4

      LUIS URBINA No age is too early to start working on skating technique and movement pattern. Make sure to keep it technical rather than muscularly exhausting at first.

    So thats mean what i made during skating is totally right? Bcos my hips always hurt ahahah. Maybe my muscle not become habit yet. Need muscle memory right. When i see this. Makes me more confident of my skating

    • @thorupviktor

      That depends how you're skating.. Every dryland exercise aims to improve a very specific part of "skating" and will not be 1-1 applicable. However, if you master the strenght, balance, mobility, coordination and endurance it takes to perform these well, skating will certainly become easier ;)
