Hi Kenneth, I am thinking of getting the same kind of setup. What kind of stand are you using to put the Octapad on? Also wondering why you chose rubber pads for your hihat and snare instead of a cymbal pad and mesh head pad? Do you prefer the feel? Or budget constraints? Thanks for the video... and keep playing!
I'm just using a heavy duty music stand. I use it for my SPD SX too because the rim of the stand protects the controls. I'm not that much enamored with the mesh pads that I'll spend the extra. And the high hat only needs a single zone.
At :53 it explains the foot pedal: at 5:45 I discuss the triggers in the back. The high hat is a combo of the Hi hat pedal and a drum pad trigger in the way I have it set up. You can use on of the Octapads instead of the hat trigger but you'll need a pedal for the open and closed hat.
Nice Setup.. Thanks for this video..
Hey thank you for this
Hello Sir!
What kind of stand and holder do you use to secure the snare and hi-hat pads?

I use a conductor music stand for the SPD 30. I'd use mesh pads except for the price. If I was playing this out I'd get the Roland SPD 30 stand.
How do u connect hi hats to the spd30
