@iKeyboard15 no it doesn't. You only get the SPD 30 itself. no stand, no foot pedals, no extra trigger pads. Not that good of a deal man! But it's an awesome instrument. really plays naturally and lively!
Would like to buy one as use as a drumset, but plug my DTX bass and hat pedal to it. Example, 4 top pads are 4 toms...left bottom pad a snare, next one a hi hat, next one a ride, and far right a crash... can it be done? had a spd11, could not get it to work right.....
@alih666 drum footprint, neighbors, freedom to play anytime w/monitors or headphones, mix drums with songs, tracks, built in effects, I can customize snare, kick, tom sounds to fit a playing feel, I can have almost a hundred different drum sets with different character, portability, instant pro sound, MIDI triggering... shall I go on? I setup the SPD's to be like drum sets with external kick/hihat pedals, etc. etc. Darn sensitivity though I thought would improve, unless I didnt find a setting.
hello Sir, can you please demonstrate how to connect the spd30 to the computer to be used as a midi sound module, so when I strike the notes on my midi keyboard controller I am playing the sounds from the SPD30,
Anyone knows how to make the 3 black knobs mappable to DAWs? I have been asking around about this online for weeks, no help yet. (I got the tx send ON but still doesn’t work)
Thanks for the question, Peter. I'd suggest looking in the manual on page 64, as it discusses using the knobs for Control Change parameters, as that looks like the only way to send MIDI data via the knobs on that unit. I'm a long time user of the SPD line, Octopad, which was awful to the good but delicate SPD-8 and the stellar SPD-20, but twenty PLUS years later, in 2010, Roland, with all the tech advancements, as far as I can tell, pad sensitivity is a joke. This guy, a long time Roland electro-drum presenter, can do rolls, but he's using a technique to really pull those rolls out. Darn it, I want to delicately feel the snare when I'm playing. Please, its 2010 Roland.
I'm going to buy this octapad! But i have one question... Can you connect the Boss FS-6 Footswitch to it? Please give me help! *I'm sorry for my bad english, im from Holland*
Is it possible to use the Octapad as a guitar looper (for live guitar riffs) like the Alesis Strike Multipad shown in this video (without any foot pedal)? ruclips.net/video/0_xyK00UuxQ/видео.html
Did you just get drum triggered.... I'm going to buy this from Sweetwater because of the Helen Keller comment. You need to grow some calluses on your sensitivity.
This thing is amazing and Steve Fisher is the perfect guy for this demo. Really shows what this can do
This demo was so awesome, I just bought an SPD-30 through you!
THE BEST DEMONSTRATION!
Excuse me, Sir, could you possibly demonstrate “the Hellen Keller thing” again?
He's right about the marching drum sounds. Damn!
just bought this, so much fun

6:58 literally every middle-aged divorced white guy from Cleveland down in his rec room on Friday night.
Do you have it is stock?
great demo
@marcellogft ... Hi, nope you can't sample external sounds. if you want to do that, ya need the SPS-S pad.

I wish they had a numbered key pad to call up the programs as I like
Yes!
What is the difference between SPD 20x and SPD 30 other than the looping function. Any changes to the Indian sounds?
Debajyoti Bagchi 10 numbers.

Sure I’ll carry my compact concert chimes and various gongs with me to a rock gig
His microphone needs a pop filter.

Helen Keller comment very uncool. Thanks, now I know not to purchase the product or to buy anything from Sweetwater for a lack of sensitivity.
