Totally agree with George on this one. As a long time metalcore fan, I could never really get into parkway drive, much less this song/album. Really basic, boring, safe, and corny tbh.
I heard this song once on the radio in 2015, liked the guitar, and had that post chorus stuck in my head until today when I finally just plugged "hope for the hopeless" into Genius. I had begun to wonder if it was even a real song lol.
It was definitely written to be a type of anthem to play live in big venues, they are a fun band to see live. Their previous album was very dark and IRE was more fun and positive, some fans hate the album but I love everything they have released. Thanks for checking them out!
I don't think it's as simple as old vs new. I actually enjoyed Reverence, but I thought Ire was mediocre at best. Even if I had to pick from Ire, I'd pick Crushed or Bottom Feeder.

Parkway Drive - Wishing Wells video reaction.
Great band full of melodies and awesome breakdowns, you just happened to pick their one radioish song. Give them a another shot.
Love to hear your thoughts on my favorite band of all time Refused! Love you guys keep the videos coming!
In Flames - Cloud Connected
Not Parkway's best music, but still an INCREDIBLE band. They have SO MUCH GOOD MUSIC.
Parkway Drive - Wild Eyes . Song makes me want to burst through a wall LOL
Been binging your guys' videos and I love your enthusiasm, it's really refreshing to see how well educated you two are about music and how enthusiastic you are about different styles outside of your wheelhouse.
Couple of suggestions/requests for you guys: one would be to check out this fella Colter Wall and his live version of The Devil Wears a Suit and Tie, and two would be for you to revisit some Queensryche again, maybe something from their earlier discography like Take Hold of the Flame or the Lady Wore Black.
Anyways, thanks again for all you guys do!
Dedicated is banger. It goes hard from start to finish. It keeps you headbanging like how Gojiras heaviest matter in the universe does.
More Parkway Drive
Dark Days
Wild Eyes
Romance is Dead
Shadow Boxing
Totally agree with George on this one. As a long time metalcore fan, I could never really get into parkway drive, much less this song/album. Really basic, boring, safe, and corny tbh.
Not on killing with a smile & horizons. This is their worst song.
I would love to see a reaction to "Carrion" or "Horizons" by them, by far some of my favorites from Parkway Drive
NO NO NO!!!
Not a fan of these guys, but they have much better songs than this.
Rob Jarrett not a fan (gasp) SHAME! SHAME! SHAME! Lol
The don't have better songs. They are the worst thing to ever pretend to be metal. Predictable and hand fed.
@@Audard dude listen to the album killing with a smile. Then maybe you can have an opinion
Definitely overrated band, that followed the metalcore trend without having great abilities, but Deep Blue is fuckin great (but it's the only one).
@@HateMich You're talking like they started the band 6 years ago
I love PWD, I think Horizons and Deep Blue are about as good as metalcore gets, and I 100% agree with everything George said.
I don't think it's as simple as old vs new. I actually enjoyed Reverence, but I thought Ire was mediocre at best. Even if I had to pick from Ire, I'd pick Crushed or Bottom Feeder.
keep up the metalcore boys!! great reaction. Boneyards is my favorite parkway drive song and is the polar opposite of vice grip.
Honestly i love watching people react to metal bands for the first time, it warms my heart
Few years ago , this song became my lifesaver and help me through depression , broke uo , grief etc .....rhough fight but as PWD WOULD SAY : one life one shot give it all you've got , its the hope for the hopeless!
Hell yeah! Guys gotta do Wild Eyes by Parkway Drive next.
Bring Me The Horizon - Crucify Me, Sleepwalking, Death Breath
PANTERA: THROES OF REJECTION,
Much love from Australia 🇭🇲
R. Nashoba I just don’t think they will ever do any more Pantera. They did Walk and that was over a year ago, maybe more. I think the claims of Phil being racist really turned them off the band
@@robdurfee6861
Pantera isnt just Phil... its the Abbott brothers, (RIP)
No matter what accusations have been put to the masses... the music is the art of 4 kick ass musicians that changed metal forever, if you choose to get wrapped up in the political/personal BS side... you're only but causing unwanted drama for yourself!
It is and always will be about the music.
Love your videos, guys!
Just a suggestion:
Why don't you do reaction videos of metal bands per country? You can do it alphabetically, one per month (Argentina, Armenia, [----] Zimbabwe...)
That would be cool.
And maybe it would help to catch more followers from all over the world.
Greetings from Costa Rica!
Great idea but perhaps music more generally. Not just metal.
Parkway Drive - Wishing Wells is pretty NON cheesy, super meaningful as well
This is a sing along unify all type song, which is what was it was geared for :-) awesome review yall
