    I"m glad you exposed this technique and this youtuber. It is obvious he just made up something so he could make a strategy video. There was no way he could have done any backtesting or actual trading using this trading system. I really liked how you showed the deficiencies of this technique. I learned some good stuff from this video.

    Thanks a lot. Arty started great in the beginning, but now he’s just a victim of the „sell stuff to people“ industry, namely the pip hunter indicator. Thank you for exposing this strategy. I would never pay a single cent for a closed source indicator, just out of principle. Keep on the good work, I really like it a lot!

    I use a similar system, with 50,20,100 & 5 ema, all trending with parabolic SAR and supertrend, I enter when a Fractal appears with a 3x ATR stop and a negative 4:1 RR. It works very well and it has a very high win rate, obviously not everybody would use it as loses are bigger than wins.

    • @TradersLanding
      @TradersLanding  3 года назад +1

      That is really interesting. Your phycology is clearly on point to be able to trade a system like that. What time frames do you prefer?

      @@TradersLanding right now I'm getting ready to pass a funding account challenge and because of their rules I'm using the 5&15 min charts, I already passed the free trials quite easy with only one loss , because the win rate is so high 85-93%. It would be nice to see you test it.

      Supertrend settings are standard btw

    • @TradersLanding
      @TradersLanding  3 года назад +1

      So for example on a long setup, you are looking for all the EMA's to fan out in order, with a PSAR buy signal, and a SuperTrend buy signal. Stop at 3 times the ATR, and targeting 0.25 RR? Are you waiting for entry on the first super trend buy after the fan out? Or maybe the SuperTrend buy after the PSAR?

  • @Spinlayer

    Heyy!!!! You are a big pillar for the community man!!!!!! Thanxs! I tried this system a few months ago with Fractal indicator and just the 3 EMA's... I tried it in a 1 minute timeframe.. when the market is trendy.. it's a beast.. but we all know that. I put the stop loss below the first EMA that was below the william fractal candle. Needless to say that backtesting this, at the end, was awful.

    USA. Wouldn't a stop above the EMAs be overdoing it in long downtrends? Or does this strategy apply only to conditions immediately following the "fan-out" of the EMAs? Thanks for the great video.

    • @TradersLanding
      @TradersLanding  3 года назад +1

      Hey Astro, great question. So to answer your 2nd question first, I only took setups after the first fan-out for the test shown. Now as to your question regarding the EMAs, we could spend hours chatting about that. Specifically, and to to your question about long down trends or what I would describe as very impulsive down trends. I would agree that during a powerful downtrend you may not want to put the Stop above the MA’s. I would look to do the reverse and place my 2nd take profit target further away to increase the R:R. Now when the market is not moving so impulsively during the current phase of market structure, then it may be appropriate to place the stop above the EMAs. In the Easter Egg I place more subjective optimization tips and I am so happy you are able to take something away form it and ask a great question. Welcome to the Landing.

    Would you test a TDI indicator? One of the best in my opinion.

    • @TradersLanding
      @TradersLanding  3 года назад +1

      Traders Dynamic Index huh? You want to get all complex on everyone. Would you believe last night I was looking at this thing trying to make a system? Can I ask how you use it? There are so many ways to look at the combination of 3 indicators into 1.

    • @YsoSer1ous
      @YsoSer1ous 3 года назад +2

      @@TradersLanding I agree it can look way too complex but it’s actually very powerful. The way I use it:
      15min TF (before confirming the trend on 1H tf)
      Indicators:
      1) TDI
      2) 200 tema
      3) 25 ema
      Long entry rules:
      1) TDI baseline must be above 50 level to confirm the trend direction
      2) Wait for the pullback while 25 ema is above 200 tema
      3) Enter when RSI on TDI crosses below the bottom bollinger band then pulls back up and crosses the signal line.
      There’re many different ways for exit/profit taking obviously depending on a risk tolerance. For me it depends on a strength of a trend. You can catch very nice moves, just watch the slope of MA’s.
      Doesn’t look that complex, right? 😅😉

    • @YsoSer1ous
      @YsoSer1ous 3 года назад +1

      @@TradersLanding hey, yeah just saw it.
      For TDI use the one’s on the top by eleccrypto, you gotta play with colours to make it look clear tho :)
      I’d also check higher settings values, for less false signals.
      A little update for the ema’s, I use 2 TEMA’s of 100 and 200 and for this I suggest you get the MA_RIBBON R5.2 indicator - it’s very handy to use as you can get all sorts of ema’s in one place and looks very clean.
      Looking forward for you to test and see your suggestions on how to improve it.
      Let me know mate if you have more questions about this one.✊🏼
