I used your double vwap bounds with slight modification and I have been consistence with my trading. Instead of 2,-2 and 1, -1 deviations, I am using 2. -2 and 1.5, -1.5. I will continue playing around that dev. and see which works better. But so far 1.5 dev. for the second bands seems to work perfectly for me as a scalper.

You are a true gem in the world of financial market I have ever found on youtube!!
I find that you can play with the standard deviation of the bands for each specific asset to find its "natural deviation" and get more precise dynamic s/r. I keep a notebook with "natural vwap deviation levels" for the assets I trade, and also take note of if they seem to be changing over time. As a rule of thumb I find that smaller capped assets have higher deviations, while large caps don't deviate as much. Of course you can use leverage to offset lack of volatility, while staying on your risk management parameters, on large caps if you find one is particularly easy to trade in relation to vwap. I'm not sure on the utility of heiken ashis though, you can usually spot a pin bar or an engulfing bar on the reversal anyway, and a simple line chart (or a superimposed 1 period ema achieves the same) will usually show you sharp angled rejections at s/r. I'd also much rather use a volume based indicator for divergences, or at least not so fond of the rsi, unless it's a multi time frame rsi

@@TheSecretMindset could i ask for some clarifications as to what advantages you see in using heiken ashis to identify rejections as opposed to more traditional candlestick rejection patterns? I'm not seeing the advantage, which probably means I'm missing or not understanding something rather important or at least pretty useful, and I'd like to understand.
With that said, thanks mate, I love your videos, also your voice relaxes me a lot and I have anxiety issues and it actually really helps sometimes to just fire up one of your videos. It comes with good info too so, it's a nice combo 👌
Very good point. Any pointers on coming up with scaled standard deviations? Would one base this on historical average true range or something similair?
@@morleycable I've been keeping it simple, i just look at the past six months of price action, and try and fit the deviations by playing with the numbers, until I get two distinct levels that are very well respected over time. So nothing complex really just backtest and adjust the band settings til it looks pretty obviously correct, you'll see it right away. Record than in my notebook for that asset, then if I notice the bands not being respected at some point, then conditions might be changing and you can go through the same back test routine to find the new "natural deviations", as they can evolve over time. Sounds complicated when reading but it's actually really easy, just takes a bit of time

Yet another great video, thanks Marius! Quick question: do you plot support/resistance levels and trend lines on the same time interval as you're trading (5 min), or do you go up a notch or two? I've heard many people suggest plotting on a higher timeframe and trade on a lower.

Tony, prehaps a big late. Good aims. One thing is really important, try and think in terms of percent and not money! Percentages as these can be applied to any quantity of money! Good for the long haul.

Things popular in majority won't work as institutions know very well what indicators retailrs use...... You only need price and volume those indicators are for beginners to tell a route like Google map once you master it you will be thinking like institutions. Your work is great 👍 ☺️

Thanks for the clarification on VWAP. My TDA account shows VWAP as 3 bands; I'll try the additional bands. One day trader says "don't buy below the VWAP" - his software shows only one band. Strange! 'Cause that's often the best price level to buy is BELOW his VWAP. Thanks so much!

Wow. Amazing intraday indicator I didn’t know about. I noticed it only works under the Daily. Great for lower timeframes. Powerful stuff. Liked & I’ve been subscribed 👍🏼
I run it on 2 mins and 5 min charts and its excellent concept, however institutions today buy when they want to buy and vice versa but the VWAP gives you a good concept of price direction along with MACD crossovers and bars

VWAP is really useful when large whales or institutions on selling/buying.
But they vanish fast... and VWAP becomes somewhat useless or even misleading. Must have confluences with any indicator... including VWAP without being lead to the slaughter house.
Big fomo time or fear time... whales and institutions are likely there. Bring out the ol' VWAP.
And it is true... they fade each other's VWAP. Institutions know other institutions are also watching VWAP... so you need confluences.
I once went mostly on VWAP... but it struggles sometimes to really deliver price action tendencies when big money has stopped trading on an underlying. Then it's all about RSI, MACD, and knowing your levels of resistance and support; or ranges local and mid and long term on many time intervals out to daily, weekly, and even monthly.

Which vwap bands levels are you using? Are you calculating bands from standard deviation, ribbon, or percentage. And what corresponding numerical values? Fib level bands or manual?

Which VWAP indicator would you recommend to buy&install on MT4? There are a couple on MQL5 but do not work as you describe in your videos (Lacking SD Bands) . Thank you.

I've been trading for over 20 years. I set up my charts almost identically to this (after trying numerous other approaches). I trade ES futures and I had a 102% gain last month. This works. Be patient and wait for good entries and exits and use stop losses. Be prepared to go with whatever direction the market gives you.
Why do you sometimes say you have been trading for over 20 years and on other messages you say 30 years 🤔
@@thawiseninja1559 I'm 65. I first got licensed 40 years ago. Started as an institutional fixed-income trader, then went into money management, then went into trading for my own account. So it is really 40 years total and about 20 years trading my own account.

Awesome 👍 buddy! This was the bestest INTRADAY STRATEGY based on HA and VWAP. I added one more confluencing parameter to your suggested setup - MOVING AVERAGE OF VWAP. If the VWAP is above it's Moving Average VWAP, alongwith all the other factors in confluence, it may ADD another conviction point to my trade.
