In this video I outline how to use Pandreo on Maddening in terms of classes, upgrades, passives, etc.
This guide is aimed at the early/midgame. I will be making an advanced guide that covers emblem rings and endgame unit builds.

Pandreo's growths are actually nuts. Such a good unit and a likeable character on top of it all. I love him.
I like to think of switching him between High Priest and Sage as switching from his work clothes to his party outfit.
He was great for me as a Mage Knight, I gave him Micaiah so he still had the Sage-level staff utility. Solid unit with great build and speed (especially for a mage).
When you second seal somebody to another advanced class, do you lose any internal growth, like say you are a level 8 high priest and want to swap to mage knight, do you lose all that progress?
Coffee, about the new SP economy, Alear can now have canter and lunar brace+, and using Byleth/Divine Dragon, you have not only easy meter refill with punch weapons, but while engaged, you have the punch weapon that targets res on high def units(ok veronica from the dlc helps a lot, but the well gives enough SP for at least the base lunar brace)
On the topic of arts, the scrollcake uses purely strength for its damage calc, but it does lose the brave effect
I like turning pandreo into an avoid tank by giving him dual support from lucina, and later I’ll give him the ability that adjusts his dodge when holding tomes. Very effective imo
Funny thing is I had a Levin sword on him with an engraving that decrease his avoid and with his person skill a lot of the enemies still only had 50% hit chance on him he’s pretty durable as well
It might be unorthodox but i used him as a Martial Master, exclusively because Qi Adept Micaiah gets a Cleanse on allies when using Sacrifice.

I'm so glad you're doing a pandreo guide. I Didn't use him on my first run since I committed to a lot of Brodia units. But i'm glad I am doing so now I really enjoy him as a character. Though I'll say I was having difficulty deciding if he should be sage or mage knight. I leveled him maybe three times as mage knight before deciding I could use the extra support by running him as sage with staves. So far he is pretty even with my anna who has a few levels on him but I am also running Camillia on anna for flying and soren on pandreo. I was waiting on this video before deciding on what sort of skills I wanted to give him.
He's going to save my Vander supports only run. Him and Amber, because I got a lucky Silver Dagger at the well and made him into a Wolf Knight. Amber's snowballing already.
Vander supports only run? Very unique idea! I wish you luck and swift victories with that, and i'm happy to see another Wolf Knight fan.
@@TusksTheAxew I actually don't like Wolf Knight on most units.
The main benefits of making a unit a Wolf Knight are the high speed growth, knives, and the combination of Hobble and Canter, but it doesn't outweigh the cripplingly low strength growth.
However, Wolf Knight suits Amber so well.
His base strength is already high enough to not need a few extra points, it fixes his speed, and his strength growth is high enough to not fall off later on in the game.
It also helps with his dex growths, and the rest is easily patched up by the high accuracy of knives combined with his personal skill.
Most importantly, he doesn't need a second seal, of which I used all 3 on the stewards to make them useful, and his innate lance proficiency lets him use a Brave Lance.
TL;DR: He's the best Wolf Knight.
Pandreo was amazing on my 1st maddening run where I reclassed him into a sage. He was fast and dealt good damage. I'd like to hear your thoughts on the best emblem pairings or see a review of the ones you've done in past maddening runs. I think it would be interesting.

Pandreo is seriously meant to be on mage knight. He immediately goes to 10 build, compared to levin sword's 11 wt (which you literally also get the same chapter you recruit him). With levin sword's low upgrade cost, you can get it to +4 with only 2 silver, and that's all he needs to one round most enemies all through the rest of the game. Plus he has enough build growth that you can even put a +wt engraving on it in the end game to free up more highly contested engravings for other units. On a run where I put both him and a heavily fed Anna on mage knight, he outperformed her from the moment I got him, until she just managed to catch up in the last few chapters.
I also think he performs better than Ivy as the main target in the bonded shield strat. You get the downside of losing flier mobility on your bonded shield, but get the massive upside of him not needing Lyn ring to function. And I don't think I've ever seen him without 100% hit rate. You also get to put Lucina on wolf knight Alear for the dagger chain attacks. Even though wolf knight damage falls off in the endgame, a refined silver dagger will still carry you into the early 20 chapters. I also find Alear to be more useful as utility anyway, since they fail to continue to hard carry without significant investment.
The Celica engravement is so uncontested lol, minus one weight and attack, +50 dodge
Definitely reasonable for the Levin sword
Radiant Bow Warrior Pandreo is pretty Fun, too. I literally just reclassed him with his base stats at chapter 20 and with a forged bow and some levels and he's already doing decent
Pandreo is so OP he makes Royal Knight work.
A big advantage of Sage is that the Mystical subtype is much better than Cavalary: it gives you fire with Corrin, or Thyrsus with Byleth. I use Sage Pandreo + Byleth and being able to slaughter enemies from range 4 with Bolganone is amazing.
Mystical units are so good, I kept feeling like my Mage Knight Alear had worse bonuses across the board besides Camilla’s movement bonus to Calvary. I wonder what the best emblems for mage knights are…
His con besides the sage outfit on him and his random howling is that there's so many other high tier magic units in this game, he gets lost in the shuffle even though he's arguably the best mage knight or sage.
He’s got great stats and growth (a bit lower on magic growth but he starts with a high magic base that he ends up comparable mag stat endgame) while his build let’s him use A tomes that would weigh down the other mages more. But he doesn't fly like the Elusia sisters and he doesn't give you extra gold like Anna.

He makes a good royal knight since he's one of the few people capable of weilding the flame lance. So he basically gets to be a discount chloe with flame lance but no flier penalties.

On mage knight he's comparable to Jean and Anna in the end game (internal level 37ish) with significantly less investment.
General... With byleth ring. Gives the same defensive bulk for 3-4 turns as a fully invested general Louise. But with crazy good res for generals.
I would steer towards a warrior or hero for assistance. He basically runs himself and him helping everyone else out even more never hurts him.

Is the mic quality bad? I have a compressor in OBS I have been playing with and I think the results are good or they sound good to me, am currently using a Blue Yeti mic, not sure what I could change at this point to improve it outside of messing around with OBS settings. What sounds off about the voice specifically?

It's honestly kind of amazing how good Mage Knight is in this game. Awakening it was pretty meh, Fates it got better, and Three Houses it was niche (dark knight) and bad (holy knight). People love Sage Anna but honestly I think Mage Knight is where it's at

I'm on Ch 21 Maddening, and with fixed growths my Pandreo already capped his build and HP at level 18 Sage; so beware keeping him on Sage. Mage Knight doesn't run into that issue.
He's extremely strong with Soren or Camilla DLC emblems - Soren for long range poking, Camilla for utility similar to Corrin + strong damage.
And his good build means he won’t be weighed down by Camilla’s 11 weight weapons like most mages would be

Sage outfit is TOO good, male sage is a blessing ❤️ love Pandreo! Definitely a candidate for Nova since he’s not that fast. He’s a good choice for Camilla since he can handle the weight of her weapons, or Soren since his personal skill increases hit for Bolting
Side note, i like using Byleth on Jean for Thrysus since Elsurge is low weight, I engraved it with Corrin so that it has a 40% crit chance. Jean is really struggling with doubling even though he’s decently fast, next time I’ll have to get him a speed increasing ability.

I lost extra 3 def due to sage class caps, but its totally worth. He has better magic and def but lower speed than pandreo. Just toss him speed taker. 2 stacks will make him double

He's SILLY good with magic damage with a fairly nice personal, but the big shame about him is, despite his constant howling, Wolf Knight isn't his optimal class. If only there was a magic knife (that wasn't Veyle's) or a tome + staff Wolf Knight class.
That said, chucking Lineage + Starsphere on Wolf Knight Pandreo...
Idk his strength growth is really bad, I’m not sure Starsphere can save it 😭 but if it can, that’s a fun combo!
@@joeyjose727 Even if his Strength doesn't go up much, sword Wolf Knight should be able to use the Levin Sword for backup magic damage, right? Certainly less optimal than Sage, but anything to give the howly boy his hound.
@@TusksTheAxew oh that’s definitely true! It might fall off a little in damage since his base is good but his magic growth is only 30%
Still, I feel like it could be usable for sure, Levin Sword seems good 👍
Edit: ooh but if you have Starsphere then his magic growth will still be better, yeah that sounds like it could work!

My sage Chloé became my strongest unit again, she is just that good
Having the well in my new play though is nuts everyone getting speed plus 3 and it reduces Solm difficulty by a lot 🤣

ha, that's my Céline build. Honestly, to me, Byleth is perfect for her, she needs the magic/speed stat boost, Thrysus + Elsurge means her low dex is no problemo, (and there is also Divine Pulse for other weapons). And since she's always mostly hanging at the back, she can heal if need be or drop a Goddess dance for the frontliners to go for round 2.
The most difficult thing about him is that i cant NOT use him in my play throughs!!

How do you feel about speedtaker and speed +3 on Ivy? I just have speedtaker on her right now and it’s ok. I just got Sigurd back and was debating on giving her Canter or speed +3. Hard choice for me. I do love canter on everyone but speed +3 seems really nice.
I think canter matters more on units that need to attack in melee range or be deep into enemy formations so I'd rather have speed on mages. Byleth on her is insane because she turns into a siege weapon :)
@@IcedCoffeeGaming for thyrsus you'd need to ditch flying, i think ill do nosferatu holdout shenanigans with her, just need to avoid longbow users
He caps build at like a level 15 sage on fixed mode
man mine must've been speed screwed. I ended up with 24 speed at level 20 sage.
Just to confirm I keep him on High priest until lvl 10 then change him to mage knight?

I hate that a mage knight is not mystical but cavalry >.> like come on. Says mage in the class title for fuck sake. Just because you are on a horse doesn’t mean you’re a Cavalry.
I mean it has the better passive, movement, and caps. If not for mystical there'd be no reason to play sage at all
