I remember attending church in Bangkok and seeing a countdown on one of the bulletin boards for the next ward temple trip to Hong Kong. It was 200+ days away and about a 1,400 mile trip. What an incredible blessing for those wonderful people who live in Thailand! Their faith, patience, and sacrifice have been rewarded.
I was in Bangkok a few months ago and saw this building from a distance and just knew this was another house of God being built for the faithful people of Thailand. I loved hearing the testimony and conversion story of the project manager. So sweet. Much love from San Francisco🤍
What a beautiful temple! Temples of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are a great blessing in my life. They are a sanctuary where I go to feel the love of God and a greater measure of peace. Every time I am in the temple, I am touched by the evidence that God loves every single one of His children who has ever lived on the Earth. Each one is precious to Him and is remembered by Him.
This made we weep with JOY! An incredible glimpse into the conversion of one man. I was overcome with a sweet confirmation through the Holy Spirit of the miracle and blessing of this work as I considered how Church members in Thailand must feel to have a House of the Lord close to them. WONDERFUL!
Beautifully inspired message of the construction manager and his conversion. What a blessing for the Saints there to have and make covenants in His holy house!
When they first showed him on the video, I knew he would want to learn how a temple fits in with Christianity, and not be the same as the many temples in Thailand already. My dad and I aren't members, but my Mom was a Temple worker up until the pandemic and I think Temples are really beautiful, and very cool - especially the ones that are particularly unique and culturally meaningful by design, such as Sapporo Japan, India, Thailand, Cambodia, Mesa AZ, San Diego, Meridian ID, etc...
visted the oonstuction. visited the stake centre close by. bared a testimony. windows of heaven opened up and I am not even a member of the church for 23 years. Tho led a sister into the gospel attending open house there shortly. bless the beautifal saints of thailand. Makes one re-think the values of eternal marrige and eternal life when such culture of love expresses the truth in simplicity without judgment and gives a clean slate new start and invitation for re-baptism... sending love to all thai people who deserve this holy house of the lord.
What a beautiful Temple and wonderful story about the construction manager, you and your team did a fantastic job. Congratulations on your baptism as well, such a blessing for you and your family.
I'm from Taiwan. Just about two weeks ago I was on a business trip to Bangkok. I always had to be with my group so I didn't have time or the desire to try to go to the Thailand Temple or find out where it was. On the second day of my trip, I was taking the subway. While waiting for the train, I inadvertently saw the commercial video of the Temple on the railway wall. The commercial lasted for just a few seconds. Before I could switch my cellphone to the camera mode to take a picture of it, it was gone. Luckily, when I was taking the subway back to the hotel, I was able to take a picture of it. A bigger surprise came on my last day of the trip. When I was taking the subway again to the airport to fly back home, I made a transfer at the Makaasan Station. On the corridor of the second floor, I saw the Temple! Though it was just a short glance from a distance, I was still very happy and I also took a picture of it. I shared both of the pics on FB.
My heart is full ❤. I now live really close to a temple and have received much strength from it. I am excited for my fellow brothers and sisters who will be able to go to this temple when it is dedicated ❤.
I temple is the holy place. I cried when I entered into the temple first time in Manila not because of the architecture inside but because of the strong Spirit I’ve felt. On that day, I felt very sick I prayer to God ask Him to help me get better so I can do my ordinance but I nothing happened until I came inside I can feel His healing, my painful gone away immediately. That is one of my miracle.❤
Wow, this is so amazing! Truly the gospel is reaching all the corners of the earth! ❤❤❤ I’ll never forget Elder Gong’s talk about First Dragon Gong, and just think of how many Thai are on the other side as far back as First Dragon Gong, wanting their work done ~ truly another latter day miracle! ❤❤
What a blessing for the people of Thailand. And how wonderful to hear the story of the construction manager, who joined the church through this experience. The Lord’s work moves ever onward!
We lived in Bangkok in 1960-61. We were one of only 2 LDS families in Thailand at the time. Because there was no organized branch in the country, my parents wrote to Salt Lake to get permission to hold church in our home, along with the other family. During our stay, my sister turned 8. Again, my father wrote to Salt Lake to request permission to baptize her. They granted his request and was baptized by my father in 1960 in the Gulf of Siam. To our knowledge, she was the first baptized member of the church in Thailand.
Thank you all for your work on building another temple of & for the Lord! 🙏😊 I can tell Anurat Kaeocha really put his heart into it despite not knowing much about the meaning at first. And excellent English speaking and pronunciation to all those interviewed!! 😃 Impressive!
This is so cool! The construction manager ended up joining the church after finishing the temple! I guess he felt the spirit being on the grounds all the time...
