These men working on the temple take their job seriously. They are special. They are making history. I am grateful for their labor and care the put on this historic temple. God bless them.
I remember President Nelson urging each of us to secure our spiritual foundation, our testimony, of the truthfulness of this work just like they are preparing the temple to endure the calamities to come. We have a lot of work to do.
I was thinking the same thing. It is inspiring to learn the details, craft and care taken in this project. The Salt Lake Temple is an amazing, historic and holy building but in the plans of eternity we and our temporal time on earth is more important. That makes me want to use more care and effort to build a solid foundation for myself.
I am a civil engineer. To see how they work , it is so tough that they are doing and working right for the temple of God. I am so happy to watch one of this kind of peace of work in my life time. Excited to see it personally with my daughter who is taking up civil engineering and at the same time she enrolled environmental and sanitary engineering. We will pray that God will provide a way for us to be visit the Salt Lake Temple soon.
As our prophet, President Nelson, has invited us, “It is now time that we each implement extraordinary measures - perhaps measures we have never taken before - to strengthen our personal spiritual foundations. Unprecedented times call for unprecedented measures.”
So many good things are happening, and so many more things to learn from this, and to apply to our own lives. This is amazing and I thank God that He has prepared these men to help secure the House of the Lord.
Dakotah Hansen and his fellow miners absolutely amaze me. I don’t think I’m claustrophobic, but watching him go in that pipe puts knots in my stomach. Thank you, skilled workers, for everything you’re doing to preserve the Salt Lake Temple and bless countless people ❤️ More of these videos, please! I find them fascinating and absolutely love watching them, and they’re great for sharing with family and friends ❤️
It's amazing how just long term care Temple has lasted, What Gems we have found in the historical articles put in by our loving, faithful pioneers, and their children ❤️❤️🙏
Our Pioneers I'm sure and smiling on high to see the time and dedication that's being put into it and sacrifice. As many, many of then sacrificed for years to acomplish it.
Wow! Kudos to Dakotah and all those he works with, especially those that do the same thing he’s doing. What an incredibly labor intensive job to secure the foundation of the temple. Didn’t realize so much more excavation had yet to be done after what we currently see to be able to install the isolators! Wow!
We pray for this men for their work and dedication for making the temple more stronger and the temple to remain for long years we could not go there and see but we could see it in the pictures.
I'am stun at the work that's been done on the temple. I hope that i can save up money to see the open house and be able to touch the stones of the temple again and feel connected to my family who helped build the salt lake temple so long ago.
I might never see the temple in person but I am happy to know that it will stand tall like our faith. Thank you for all who worked so hard for this restoration. ❤
These people (like the workman Dakota), are the real heros in our world. These men and women, the public servants who do the difficult, dirty, and extremely hard work are the people who will always have my deepest respect and admiration. I think about this every time I see a "public service worker," firefighter, police officer, and emergency care workers. God Bless every one of them!
Watching the young man dig out the pipe by hand all day long reminds me of how my mother's ancestors worked in the Alabama coal mines 12 or more hours a day 365 days a year with never an off day. I spoke to an old man once who worked the 'face' of the coal seam. He said he went to work before sunup, worked' until after sundown and only took a 1/2 hour for lunch (his only break) all day. His work environment was about 4 feet, floor to ceiling and his only tools were a miner's pick and shovel. I asked what happened if he was too sick to work. He said, "We didn't get paid." I'm grateful people no longer have to work like that but I'm glad someone is still willing to do so for a higher purpose.
So so excited to see the temple once it's finished with construction. It's embarrassing how cool I think it is that the heat panels will prevent the sidewalks from being snowy
Wow, fascinating in depth look at an ingenious and mind-blowingly complex engineering project! It's little wonder that this will be going on for another 2 years.
They are DEFINITELY construction ANGELS in the flesh being supported by MANY construction ANGELS on the other side of the veil. I was an Ordinance Worker in the Salt Lake Temple for 8 years before it closed in 2020. I learned many times during the 8 years that any one who has any thing to do with any part of the Salt Lake Temple will always experience great sacrifice - their time, talents, abilities, etc. etc. It's what this iconic building stands for - people who have sacrificed a LOT and who continue to sacrifice for this temple. People who love this Temple so much and for what it stands for. The last words on this video: "It's an honor to do this". That is exactly how I felt about my 8 years waking up at 3:30 AM to serve in the Salt Lake Temple.
I know we don't talk about money a lot, it's a Temple after all and what it costs to secure it isn't important to me, it's worth it, but I hope that brave young man is being well rewarded to do something not many people could handle! Great job, wow.
Our shop did a ton of work with isolator bases, hundreds of thick plates plasma cut, machined, welded to large lugs and more attached to long 2 inch thick rebar. Our guys were down there cutting into some of those 7 foot diameter pipes for further work. Really cool to do.
I was amazed and surprised how the Salt Lake Temple have all seismic upgrades and foundations to be added, is to provide stronger resistance against magnitude 8 or higher earthquake that might collapse it in the future. What a great but gargantuan task of all civil engineering staffs and construction workers do their best to make and preserve this iconic temple God built for many years since pioneer time of Brigham Young. Someday, I will see this temple for the first time after this upgrade project is done, someday. This temple will really blessed more because of this preparation. Same thing goes to our personal foundation of having true to the faith and keeping the covenants - that if we do little by little, piece by piece and pipe by pipe, it adds our strong interlink to stay stronger and closer to our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I testify of all these things. ❤❤❤
I appreciate the detailed explanation of the work being done on the Temple. It is still hard to understand hows they do everything (adjust a big pipe, drill down through granit walls etc ) with the precision that is needed and described (5 inch hole drilled through a 7 inch gap). The complex system of transferring the weight of the Temple down to the new foundation is also mazing.
Thanks for this great video. I really wanted to see how this was being done. History is being made on so many levels. Thanks for your great work. When possible, please make another video showing the installation of the base isolators, including how they are accessing the inner areas under the temple to place the inner isolators.
Since 130 years ago when this temple was built, it was the last time anyone had seen it from ground up. Today we live and witnessed the temple getting dissected from bottom up and I'm pretty sure no one alive today would never see it like this again!
A Great Testament To The Seriousness of This Magnificent Project! As We Are Witnessing The Combination of Several Incredible Signs of The Great Second Coming, How FIRM A Witness Is This Sign To All Of The World That We Are Literally Preparing For The Lords Return Very Very Soon!
Amazing work they're doing. I wonder why they don't use a power tool to chip away at the dirt and rocks before shoveling it out. The huge effort to secure the Temple for a massive earthquake has me a little concerned. What do the church leaders know that we don't? Feels a bit ominous. We need to shore up our testimony so it's "unshaken" when the spiritual earthquakes hit, as well. Wonderful informative video, thank you.
Waow, that's the God's work. This temple need to stay until the second comming of Lord. I'm gratefull because Brigham Young taught that the construction of this temple will be a great lesson for all members. I'm gratefull for the Brigham Young prophèthie.
God the Father, Jesus Christ, and those who originally worked on the Salt Lake Temple, are looking down on these great men with pride in their gritty but important work in preserving God's house.
Dakota wins the award for the toughest and dirtiest job on site. Imagine the intensity of his labor. And the calories he burns! I hope he’s paid well. Not many guys would do his job.
With stories of a bridge or building collapse due to maintenance not keeping up with corrosion how long can this last with and without any maintenance?
Wow! This is intricate engineering. Only concern is for that lad, no ear nor respiratory protection, he'll be deaf or have a lung condition in his later life.
we will have a lot of shaking soon to our shelters and also our faith. we need to work on our own foundation according to our prophet Pres Russell M Nelson.
These men working on the temple take their job seriously. They are special. They are making history. I am grateful for their labor and care the put on this historic temple. God bless them.
Wish i would be a part of it, the construction....❤
I remember President Nelson urging each of us to secure our spiritual foundation, our testimony, of the truthfulness of this work just like they are preparing the temple to endure the calamities to come. We have a lot of work to do.
We appreciate your comment! Thank you!

Jesus is a sure and secure foundation. Build our lives on his words.
I agree with you! Foundations adds our strength in faith and makes resistance against adversary even more stronger and better.
God bless all the workers of the historic Salt Lake Temple 🙏
Wow. Wow. Wow.
I’m speechless, what an amazing structure.
I look forward to its completion.
Dakota, you brought tears to my eyes! I'm praying for your safety and endurance!

Truly amazing amounts of engineering and work going into making sure this beautiful and significant structure lasts through the millennium.
The pioneers would be in awe at the advanced technology and machinery we have now days! But we honor them for what they built with their hands!
❤️
I agree
The pioneer builders are watching and pleased.
That's amazing! What a blessing to have these technologies! God bless these people to be safe, and to do a great job!
God bless these workers! The Pioneers, who are on the other side, are working side by side with these men and women!
What an incredible achievement! The pioneers beyond the veil must be viewing this feat of engineering with baited breath. ♥️
It's amazing how just long term care Temple has lasted, What Gems we have found in the historical articles put in by our loving, faithful pioneers, and their children ❤️❤️🙏
Truly jaw-dropping the effort. Thanks for the update!
Amazing! My hat's off to all these impressive workers. I hope that they will all be safe as they work on this project.
I love these videos, thank you very much. There are some very talented people out there.
I hope, oneday to visit the Salt Lake temple myself.

The amount of work and know how going into this restoration is mind blowing. No wonder it requires so much time, but it’ll be well worth it.
Absolutely incredible! From the engineers to the laborers! Everyone is doing their part! What a historic project!

Way to go, Dakota! You’re a hero with a legacy to share with your descendants!!
I might never see the temple in person but I am happy to know that it will stand tall like our faith.
Thank you for all who worked so hard for this restoration. ❤
Joahna, I think you will get see the Salt Lake Temple with your own eyes. Thank you for your firm witness of the truth of God's great work. 🕊

👏👏 How firm a foundation!
What a magnificent project! Incredible engineering and effort invested into this (and money) for this priceless Temple. Love it!
Wow, that is absolutely fascinating! Unbelievable the engineering and effort that goes into this project.
It really is! Thanks for tuning in!

Wow! That looks so tedious. We will honor these pioneers someday too for sure. 😌❤️. Grateful for their hard working efforts. I'm astounded.

Oramos por todos los trabajadores en el templo de Salt Lake. Que el Señor los guie y proteja en su trabajo.
Wow, fascinating in depth look at an ingenious and mind-blowingly complex engineering project! It's little wonder that this will be going on for another 2 years.
God bless Dakotah and any other miners. I truly pray His hand be upon them for their work.
Beautiful coverage... So fascinating
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you to all the extreme technical master workers. You are all so amazing and thank you for all this very hard work.
We appreciate your comment. Thank you!
Prayers for the safety of all the laborers on the SL Temple. And for their success. 🙏🏽
Wow that's awesome and amazing. No wonder the prophet said that's where you want to be in an earthquake is in the temple.
Oh my what a tedious job. Thanks for the update
Goodness gracious! This is unimaginable great work! I'd love to go see and feel this energy
Glad you enjoyed it!
Not lds but I'm glad this is being preserved. My great great grandfather was Truman O Angell the architect of this spectacular building.
I would really like to dig for the Lord
Hopefully we exert as much effort to build our foundations as they do to strengthen the foundations of the temple.

Inspiring video and I imagine worth every dollar spent
Has this type of project been done before? Th scope and size of it is imsane!
Since 130 years ago when this temple was built, it was the last time anyone had seen it from ground up. Today we live and witnessed the temple getting dissected from bottom up and I'm pretty sure no one alive today would never see it like this again!
So cool. Step-by-step, rock by rock
Reminds me of the building of the “Chunnel” which connects Great Britain and the European mainland! Both amazing feats of engineering!
I love the updates and learning what they’re actually doing. Such an amazing project. Can’t wait to see the finished product
We appreciate your comment. Thank you!
Man I hope those kids hunched over with a pick axe all day are making more than $20 hr doing that work. Pretty cool engineering!

💛...truly, an inspired task...

GOD✝️ bless the Temple and the workers/laborers.
This is interesting. I'd also like to know more about the Second Anointing
WOW, WOW, WOW, what a project.
Just incredibly Fascinating
Is this considered "extreme prepping"? ;)
STUNNING ❤️
That was an amazing explanation. I had no idea!
The wise man built his house upon movable bearings and Jack and bore I guess. Time to update the song.
Waow, that's the God's work. This temple need to stay until the second comming of Lord.
I'm gratefull because Brigham Young taught that the construction of this temple will be a great lesson for all members.
I'm gratefull for the Brigham Young prophèthie.
Awesome!!💞🇺🇸💞🇹🇭
Impressive work , keeps the church safer.
Wow! Amazing!
I never heard of such a technique great work where can I find some documentation on it ?
I wouldn’t even know who to call to even begin assembling a team for this project.
God the Father, Jesus Christ, and those who originally worked on the Salt Lake Temple, are looking down on these great men with pride in their gritty but important work in preserving God's house.

I feel a soft nudge in me ask if I "hear Him" as I watch this.
Incredible!
Ingenious !
This is so cool
So cool!
Impressive!
I WANT THIS DONE TO MY HOME
With stories of a bridge or building collapse due to maintenance not keeping up with corrosion how long can this last with and without any maintenance?
I believe they have said it will last 500 years or more.
It will last through the Millennium, is what I heard 💖
Impressive.
Not knowing much about construction….is this a pretty typical process/amount of work? It seems like it is a lot more than normal structures
Amazing
Build upon my rock
Awesome
wow just wow!!!
Are all Temples build the same way no matter from which country ? The world deserve the same strong Temple. That's why also we pay our tithing.
Wow! This is intricate engineering. Only concern is for that lad, no ear nor respiratory protection, he'll be deaf or have a lung condition in his later life.
How long until rust or any kind of corrosion will be a problem?
I wish I could be working with them but unfortunately I have no experience of construction 😞
we will have a lot of shaking soon to our shelters and also our faith. we need to work on our own foundation according to our prophet Pres Russell M Nelson.
