This is the BEST video for Wrangell-St. Elias National Park. We went here this past July and had to somehow piece all of this information together. We left our RV back in a campground and drove our truck in, rented a cabin, and then made it to the bridge, took a shuttle, did the Kennecott Mill Town Tour and my husband, Ralph, hiked the Root Glacier with a tour (I, Mary Kay, age 70, decided to skip that little treat). But it was complicated, trying to figure out, in advance, exactly how to do all these things. This video has EVERYTHING you need to know to plan a safe and wonderful trip, plus if you can't make it, you learn so much and if you have been, you get to relive the wonder of this amazing national park. Well done and thank you for another outstanding video!

We were there in the 1980’s and it wasn’t a protected park at that time. The Kennecott mine / mill was wide open and we were able to explore to our hearts content. AND there was no bridge… just a tram over the water that you pulled yourself. Wild adventure! Still one of the best days in my life.

Josh, always enjoying every video, but this one in particular brought back a FLOOD of memories at the most underrated. national park of them all. So glad you and Pops finally checked this one off -- the drive to McCarthy, the town of Kennicott and all the incredible ghost-town buildings, the hike on Root Glacier, the flight -- ALL of it so incredible. And thank you for showing the tour inside the mine -- it was closed when my wife and I made it back there years ago, so I'm thankful you showed me the insides of it. Can't wait to watch the rest of your Alaska videos to come!!

I visited Wrangell St Elias in the mid 90s while staying with a friend who lived in Fairbanks. They had a family friend who lived full time in McCarthy so we stayed with him for almost a week. You could explore everywhere (there was no lodge in Kennecott yet) and it was such an adventure! This video brought back great memories of that so thanks!

For Guests going to Kennicott: Don’t miss the town of McCarthy! It’s before Kennicott.
Many Kennicott guests confuse the foorbridge parking lot as “McCarthy”.
So you dont want to miss the ONLY community inside a National Park, McCarthy (you won’t see McCarthy in this video😢

And you guys were lucky enough to have some decent weather so as to pack in a lot of scenery and experiences. When you go back, try early to mid August when you can eat your way through the woods picking berries of every sort. Thank you for bringing back a lot of memories!
