It was kinda funny when you said you didn’t think this song was too old because it was released in 2001. I’ve known this song forever and it made me realize how fast time flies.

“Epiphany” by Staind really shows Aaron’s vocal range and tugs at the heart strings like nothing else and in my opinion is their best song

This whole album helped me through some rough times as a kid, though man oh man did this song get overplayed haha. Aaron is still my favorite singer. Glad to see it's aged well though, haven't listened to this song in years. :)

never shows. or at least tries to hide from others, although it never

always do." and as a result continually seeing himself as lesser than

The song is from the perspective of someone who is taking stock of his life and refers to his addiction and failed relationships. Aaron Lewis(singer) called the song "an acknowledgement of the past."

But I was watching a Fleetwood Mac reaction when you posted and well even Staind can't replace Stevie Nicks😂😂. They recently got back together to do some reunion concerts and They are about to go on tour with someone I think later this year... Aaron had done a solo acoustic tour after their 6th album and then put out a country solo album after that.. I think he was basically wanting a change for a little bit.. then the band got back to together and did a 7th self title album which the drummer left I think right before they went on tour for the album.. after that they had been on a hiatus basically while Aaron continued his solo country career.. and the guitarist went on to the band Saint Asonia with the previous singer of Three Days Grace.. which leads ups to where I started... I'm hoping they put out a new album eventually! If anyone feels I left something out or misinformed in any way feel free to correct me.. But I think this gives the gist of events with the band!

From what I understand. They were touring so much the group wanted to take a break. Spend time with family. There is no bad blood.
The whole album of " dysfunction " by Staind is amazing. I was in high school when it came out. It's about his addiction and family problems. Some songs are slow like this and some are angry. You should check it out it'll get ya in the feels.
Aaron's personal journey can be traced through Staind. The old stuff is very dark and twisted dealing with thoughts of suicide and depression. This album kinda starts a journey out of that a little. The album after this is when he gets married and his first daughter is born and some of the songs get a little brighter (So Far Away and Zoe Jane) but maintain the heavy dissonant sound. They are still one of my favorite bands.
They are doing a small reunion tours this year. Arron pretty much just wanted to make country music that's pretty much the story
They are on tour right now. Another song called "Devil" you should check out. All of the stuff that he has done is amazing.

He has always been country. Rock was his ticket to get into the industry.
His first 2 albums are very addiction focused songs
The negative side is very well explored in those albums
But then his next albums are a bit more about struggling with life after addiction
The positives and the negatives
And it was fantastic to see him write songs about his wife and kids as a sober content man, later on
His first 3/4 albums are almost like a journey from an addict to a good functioning part of society
I love those albums
Very underated band imo
But I suppose I have to admit, maybe a lot of people struggle to relate to some of that material since it's so aimed at addiction

Aaron Lewis is the lead singer for Staind, but he also has a solo country music career. Check him out. He's a Western Massachusetts boy & that's where I'm from
He is still a part of "STAIND", he just went solo to do country for himself. The rock band "STAIND"(yes you said it correctly)is still together....

Aaron Lewis and Darius Rutger are similar in that way. But came from successful rock bands. But their hearts were in country music. Story tellers.

I grew up in the 80's. It was a little different then. We partied and had fun. We didn't wake up hurting looking for a fix. I feel like things got out of hand during the grunge era. It became cool to be suicidal. Blitzed out ya mind! Sad
