It was kinda funny when you said you didn’t think this song was too old because it was released in 2001. I’ve known this song forever and it made me realize how fast time flies.
Thanks for the reminder....that was mine and my boyfriend's song cause he traveled alot. Then he died!!! That song always bring a flood tears!!!! So does this song!!🤟😉
I love Staind!!! So many great songs! One of my favorite is "So far Away" ....Please, Please react to it!!!!! Aaron's voice is one of a kind!!! 💛😁 I promise you'll LOVE it!!!
This tune about being an addict and trying to heal and failing... over and over again. the inner pain of being an addict, trying to crawl your way out and as soon as you make headway falling back into it "i still remember, just the way you taste". the deep deep pain that an addict never shows. or at least tries to hide from others, although it never really works out that way. "gone and fucked things up, just like i always do." and as a result continually seeing himself as lesser than "since i could say i love myself as well".
This whole album helped me through some rough times as a kid, though man oh man did this song get overplayed haha. Aaron is still my favorite singer. Glad to see it's aged well though, haven't listened to this song in years. :)
Oooooh this is a good one to review. I clicked so fast. Love this song! BTW, Rascal Flats “I’m moving on” was my go to song thru AA Recovery. Give it a listen. Love to hear your review!
The song is from the perspective of someone who is taking stock of his life and refers to his addiction and failed relationships. Aaron Lewis(singer) called the song "an acknowledgement of the past."
Staind- epiphany. The video is wow. The lyrics will find a place in you heart. Side note after listening to the song check out the mean of the song. You will be surprised.
They recently got back together to do some reunion concerts and They are about to go on tour with someone I think later this year... Aaron had done a solo acoustic tour after their 6th album and then put out a country solo album after that.. I think he was basically wanting a change for a little bit.. then the band got back to together and did a 7th self title album which the drummer left I think right before they went on tour for the album.. after that they had been on a hiatus basically while Aaron continued his solo country career.. and the guitarist went on to the band Saint Asonia with the previous singer of Three Days Grace.. which leads ups to where I started... I'm hoping they put out a new album eventually! If anyone feels I left something out or misinformed in any way feel free to correct me.. But I think this gives the gist of events with the band!
The whole album of " dysfunction " by Staind is amazing. I was in high school when it came out. It's about his addiction and family problems. Some songs are slow like this and some are angry. You should check it out it'll get ya in the feels.
You nailed it with the reference from "Country Boy"! That is exactly what he is talking about. Signing his life away to the record label in Return for fame. Then the record label tells how how he needs to change his image to fit the timeframe, and getting rid of his wife so he has nothing holding him down. This band is that..
Aaron's personal journey can be traced through Staind. The old stuff is very dark and twisted dealing with thoughts of suicide and depression. This album kinda starts a journey out of that a little. The album after this is when he gets married and his first daughter is born and some of the songs get a little brighter (So Far Away and Zoe Jane) but maintain the heavy dissonant sound. They are still one of my favorite bands.
Man Rich, I saw this pop up and laughed because I listened to a lot of them yesterday and was wishing some reactions were done. But I was watching a Fleetwood Mac reaction when you posted and well even Staind can't replace Stevie Nicks😂😂. Which btw if you haven't heard of them you should do yourself a favor and check them out and throw some Heart in there😂 flip side I adore Staind!!
They still play together I'm actually seeing them this September. He just went off they all did different things. But, as long as he is around there will always be staind.
Aaron Lewis is the lead singer for Staind, but he also has a solo country music career. Check him out. He's a Western Massachusetts boy & that's where I'm from
We gotta get him to react to some Cage the Elephant. I recommend: Night Runner No Rest for the Wicked In One Ear Back Against the Wall and finally, Trouble
His first 2 albums are very addiction focused songs The negative side is very well explored in those albums But then his next albums are a bit more about struggling with life after addiction The positives and the negatives And it was fantastic to see him write songs about his wife and kids as a sober content man, later on His first 3/4 albums are almost like a journey from an addict to a good functioning part of society I love those albums Very underated band imo But I suppose I have to admit, maybe a lot of people struggle to relate to some of that material since it's so aimed at addiction And in this case Strong drug addiction
I grew up in the 80's. It was a little different then. We partied and had fun. We didn't wake up hurting looking for a fix. I feel like things got out of hand during the grunge era. It became cool to be suicidal. Blitzed out ya mind! Sad
The whole album Break The Cycle is good you should definitely check out the whole album thank you for the reaction no one on any big channel has reacted to Staind yet people keep Sleeping on such a good band..
Outside was another huge sing a long by staind my personal favorite off the album
Thanks for the recommendation!!😉😉🤟🤟
Still after all these years one of my all time favorite songs from one of my favorite artists!
It was kinda funny when you said you didn’t think this song was too old because it was released in 2001. I’ve known this song forever and it made me realize how fast time flies.
I know right I remember having dysfunction as a teenager and when this album came almost 20 years come and gone
“Epiphany” by Staind really shows Aaron’s vocal range and tugs at the heart strings like nothing else and in my opinion is their best song
DOC STAIND "FOR YOU" THIS SONG IS RIGHT UP UR ALLY FAM.

Thanks for the reminder....that was mine and my boyfriend's song cause he traveled alot. Then he died!!! That song always bring a flood tears!!!! So does this song!!🤟😉
Great song. "Zoe Jane" is my favorite from them.

He wanted to back to his roots and leave the devils that controlled him!

Oooooh this is a good one to review. I clicked so fast. Love this song! BTW, Rascal Flats “I’m moving on” was my go to song thru AA Recovery. Give it a listen. Love to hear your review!
Been watching a long time and love the videos. Please go on a Staind journey. You will become a fan
He was in the band and then left because he wanted to be a country singer, and if I remember right he back in the band .
I LOVE THIS SONG!!
Also, I loved your reaction to this video. This is one of the songs that I love the most because it is talking about recovery. Good job!
I'm so glad you've been doing a lot of rock reactions lately. I love seeing people try out new genres and find something to like in it.
Outside by Staind is a very emotional song
Aaron wanted to do some country music so the band took break but they will be on tour with Disturb
My favorite band, song writer and singer!
I've loved this song since it came out.
Slipknot- Override. (Sleeper pick) the drumming is insane. And perfect for a hip hop head to react to
Voodoo by godsmack it's got such a different vibe to it nothing special about it that I know of though
Yes, you pronounced the name correctly 👌 Staind has a lot of amazing songs ❤
The song is from the perspective of someone who is taking stock of his life and refers to his addiction and failed relationships. Aaron Lewis(singer) called the song "an acknowledgement of the past."
Thanks for checking out my favorite Rock band. I'm surprised you never heard of them before. They've had so many top billboard hits.
Staind- epiphany. The video is wow. The lyrics will find a place in you heart. Side note after listening to the song check out the mean of the song. You will be surprised.
Not sure if you have checked this one out, but check out Staind - Something to Remind You. The Mohegan Sun live version is the best.
Loved this song getting ready for school in the am
Man, I love your videos. You’re a smart man, I loved the commentary on addiction.
Man in the box live at the Moore by Alice in chains

Yes!!!!!

Yes- someone requested 3 doors down “when I’m gone”. Pleeease react to it with the official video, if possible- Vert powerful! plz! ❤️🤘🏼✌️

Over a million subs fair play man your change in content really worked .take care doc
They are on tour right now. Another song called "Devil" you should check out. All of the stuff that he has done is amazing.
I liked this b4 I even watched it. Doc, well done my friend. This is an AMAZING song bro
They are doing a small reunion tours this year. Arron pretty much just wanted to make country music that's pretty much the story
Aaron's personal journey can be traced through Staind. The old stuff is very dark and twisted dealing with thoughts of suicide and depression. This album kinda starts a journey out of that a little. Damn. I haven't heard this song in YEARS lmao. Nice selection, there

you should play" right here" next, that song keeps the mood
They still play together I'm actually seeing them this September. He just went off they all did different things. But, as long as he is around there will always be staind.
Starset. “Manifest”. “Ricochet”. “Monster”. “Diving Bell”. Literally anything by Starset.
From what I understand. They were touring so much the group wanted to take a break. Spend time with family. There is no bad blood.
Just seems like yesterday this album came out. It was the summer between my junior and senior year in high school....and that was 19 years ago....
Gotta do mudshovel by staind
This is my favorite song bc it hits home for me
Check out some of his live shows. He plays a variety of cover songs. Super talented
You need to hear "Something To Remind You" by Staind - live
Aaron Lewis is the lead singer for Staind, but he also has a solo country music career. Check him out. He's a Western Massachusetts boy & that's where I'm from
Staind as a band is currently back together on tour with the bands Bad Wolves and Disturbed. or will be anyway
Nice track. New for me thanks doc
She is the one who overdosed and died and now he is sober because of it and he is writing a letter to her which is the song.
Aaron Lewis and Darius Rutger are similar in that way. But came from successful rock bands. But their hearts were in country music. Story tellers.
He has always been country. Rock was his ticket to get into the industry.
We gotta get him to react to some Cage the Elephant.
I recommend:
Night Runner
No Rest for the Wicked
In One Ear
Back Against the Wall
and finally,
Trouble
His first 2 albums are very addiction focused songs
The negative side is very well explored in those albums
But then his next albums are a bit more about struggling with life after addiction

I love those albums
Very underated band imo
But I suppose I have to admit, maybe a lot of people struggle to relate to some of that material since it's so aimed at addiction
And in this case
Strong drug addiction
MUDSHOVEL MUDSHOVEL MUDSHOVEL for the heavier side of STAIND

D12 - How Come or Proof - Kurt Kobain

This a must. GOOD TUNE MY DUDE
Do staind for you. After plzzz
Staind saved my life
I grew up in the 80's. It was a little different then. We partied and had fun. We didn't wake up hurting looking for a fix. I feel like things got out of hand during the grunge era. It became cool to be suicidal. Blitzed out ya mind! Sad
Staind is still a band touring. They decided to take a break for awhile.
Mudshovel and Right Here
Him playing acoustic and singing is by far a lot better imo. Try some of his live music out.
Smile empty soul- silhouettes
These guys were all over the early 00 this album alone I think had like 5 singles
He is still a part of "STAIND", he just went solo to do country for himself. The rock band "STAIND"(yes you said it correctly)is still together....
Aaron Lewis is totally underrated as is Staind.
Required by Staind would include: "Epiphany", "Outside." Not a complete list, but that should get you started.
I am an addict, and it sucks. I love this song, because he accepts responsibility, it is so FUCKING rare
Great song!!!
Awesome vidd love staind
Yea buddy!
This was a good beginners song to Staind but you need to check out "for you"!!!! Definitely one of my favorites!!!
Check out Breaking Benjamins "So cold" acoustic version. One of my favorite songs ever.
