Staind is incredible. It's a journey though. 1st album( Tormented) he knew he had problems but didn't know exactly what it was, 2nd album (Dysfunction) he knew what was wrong but no idea what to do about it, 3rd album(Break the Cycle) he figures out what to do with his problems...the following albums were great too but not so much part of that story but evolving and reflecting. You should find "Please" but the acoustic version by Aaron Lewis. It's amazing!! Love the reaction.

I've been a huge fan of Staind for years. Aaron Lewis has one of the most powerful voices ever! I've seen him with Staind twice and once when it was just him. I've met him twice, he is a very laid back guy. I remember when I saw him on his own. At the end of the show, he unplugged his guitar and moved his stool away from the microphone. He then proceeded to sing "Thank You" for his last song, completely unplugged with no mic and his voice was so powerful that it just filled the room. It was amazing!! I just found ur channel a couple days ago and have been enjoying your content. I really like your views on different things, with no judgement. More people should be like that.. Keep it up, love to you and your family. Anyway, just wanted to share that story with you. It was one the best experiences of my life.

To answer your two questions: Yes, there are electric acoustics. And yes, they are very cool! :)
The second question, it's him singing over himself in the studio. On stage, Johnny (the bassist) is a backup singer, but in studio tracks it's mainly just Aaron.

Yes, they have "acoustic-electric guitars" with built-in pickups and a plug for attaching to an amp. You can play it as a regular acoustic guitar and it sounds like a regular acoustic guitar. Plug it in to an amp and that acoustic sound is played over the amp.

There are acoustic guitars that have pickups to go through the amp. And yes, you can hear it in the mix, listen close it is the higher pitch. But he does switch to playing the chords, he is now playing the same thing as the intro. But if you listen close, you can hear it.

I was like you man . I wanted to finally try play a guitar after hearing all this great music . I was 28 when finally and went out and got my first electric guitar . Other than a handful of days, I’ve picked up that things for at least an hour a day . That was 8 years ago. Although I have been thinking about taking some lessons. Only so much you can teach yourself. I want to start getting better at a faster rate . Even though I have gotten pretty decent since my first time playing . Rule of thumb . Just plan to practice for at least 10 mins a day. Most of the time , you’ll end up playing way past your goal . (Yes there are acoustic guitars that are designed to be plugged into an amp )

@@mclark347 I think you're right because the show was in a bar in chicago and they did no more than 3 songs. Good call.

Its his voice layered in a studio but when its played live the band members back him up when needed

Its the reverb and echo turned up no back ground singing all him he sounds like that live he is a sing who has a harmonizing vocal pitch...its a very rare talent some people like AARON LEWIS are just born with the gift...and this song was on guitar hero. And a T.V. show about 10-12 years ago

Check out "What It's Like" by Everlast, if you haven't heard it. Make sure to watch the music video, also. Good shit.

Just saw them open up for korn a few weeks ago. Fucking awesome! I knew a couple songs, but was never super into staind, but since then “break the cycle” has been in my rotation heavy! Didn’t know dude could scream the way he does.

Wow! I didn't know he was back with staind, I've only heard his recent solo stuff, kinda like edgy country. You should give his song "am I the only one" a listen, unless you are hard left, in which case you definitely won't like it 🤣

Electro-acustic is what he's playing man. Exactly how you described it an electric acoustic. Dude you have to check out Outside or Let It Go.

I appreciate you doing this great song. Aaron Lewis is one of the best vocalist out there.
