Would add Citizen Promaster Land Chronograph Green Dial Men's Watch Item No. CB5921-59X. Got this earlier this year, and have been hugely impressed. Eco-Drive, Radio Controlled, striking white on green dial, good milled clasp, 200m WR, just great all-around watch. Currently $370 at Jomashop.
Looking forward to the new diver, hopefully you will make sure a date window will be conspicuous by its absence…… I would throw my Scurfa Diver one in to the collection
I love the Lorus, really retro! A brand I don't think I've seen around much recently but they are good. I have a very cheap digital of theirs from 1988 that still works and I got my dad a quartz analogue mid 90s for about £20. He used daily for about 7 years then gave to my uncle who wore for several more years.
I nearly bought that new Seiko 5 GMT... but I found the dial really really topo busy to my taste... I mean 24h on the bezel that's fine. But that 13 to 24h in the center wasn't a good idea in my opinion
Casio Lineage (JDM) LCW-M100TSE-1AJF: titanium, sapphire, MB6, Tough Solar, all the digital features of a G-Shock module. Less than €200 (purchased from Japan). Nice little ana-digi ticker, supreme value for money, IMHO.
My ratings of this list: 1. Love it, hope they release a solar version 2. Don’t like it. Digital displays awkwardly cut into the analog design 3. Looks great. Lorus is underrated in the west 4. This one is fine 5. A little boring, totally overpriced 6. Looks cool, if not a bit overdone 7. Kinda looks like an Alibaba Sinn 8. Love it. MIP is the best thing Casio has done this decade 9. I like it, but prefer the Merkur Tritium version 10. Excited to see this one!
I’ve never understood the Hamilton Khaki with just 50mts WR, thats basically just above rainproof. It’s a field watch FFS, would it be to hard to put in a screw down crown and 100 or 200 WR. If you use this for what it’s designed for then it’s going to get wet and possible muddy too, so you have to ask is it really a field watch in that respect?
CHECK OUT the GWS G10 Pro Diver Lithium. Made for the British military 200 meters Screw down crown Screw down case back Tritium T25 tubes Amazing value
@THEMADWATCHCOLLECTOR I'm saving a space for your dive watch, don't worry, I'm eagerly waiting on more info. It's been a while since I've owned a proper diver. My collection is dominated by chronographs and digital Casios, so there's definitely space for that 😃
I swear you've been snooping around my computer, Russel! You sly bugger. Both Casio's, the Lorus & the Seiko GMT are in various shopping carts on my PC & phone. Great list. Awesome show as usual...& best of luck with the MWC Diver!
No enough variety there for me. I could add brands: Yemma, Bulova, Certina, Squale and Glycine for starters. Re Momentum UDT. I hope the guys took on board the comments post your review and are making the necessary changes.
Thanks for watching my friend. All the watches you’ve mentioned , just hasn’t been a release that tickled my fancy this year other than the MilShips but it’s not affordable . There aren’t many affordable Yema’s?!? The best ones aren’t! The good Certinas are above 500 affordable price point . Glycine? Combat sub and the Airman?
ive added squale to the list too Russ. Re Yemma. Gen 2 Rallygraph out now under £300. I have a gen 1 and it’s fab. There’s no mistaking it for anything else for sure. Glycine Sub GMT quarts would be my shout. Airman would need to be a vintage for me. Certina DS multi 8 (poor man’s Breitling Aerospace) Bulova devil or 43.5mm moonwatch.
@ did you say they had to be new? ;) Okay, found plenty on sale around the 700-mark. And there are many babied safe queens on the watch forums and eBay at 500. I just bent the rules a tiny bit…
Indeed. Bought one some time ago and put it on an Ali Express stainless steel bracelet. It really is very accurate only gaining a second or two a month
This is a personal pisses me off thing in the watch community. Only has 50 meters of water resistance, bro, 99.9999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999 % of the people that buy the watch won't even wear it in the shower and the rest may wear it whilst swimming in a pool.
My friend. Now’s the time you understand. It’s 50m of atmospheric pressure right? What do you think the pressure would be on the watch if you dove into a swimming pool? Bet you it’s more than 50 metres? What about when you swim ? What’s the atmospheric pressure on the watch if you were to front crawl? It ain’t about depth son!
I like the new Seiko 5 sports the dress model which has 100m water resistance and the upgraded 4r movement. They are $399 but have sales on Amazon for $300. Only lack is sapphire. Timex has some nice gmt watches for $299 but the Seiko is nicer. I won't buy from China after releasing covid and fentanyl into America. Your idea of the Lorus is off the charts amazing for the price.
Only Seiko is worth it from this list. There is not a chance in hell I would pay retail for a quartz Hamilton when on secondary market I can get mechanical for less.
Except for maybe the A4B line of chronographs, all Albas look incredibly cheap and tacky and veer clearly into fashion brand territory. Might as well buy Emporio Armani or Tommy Hilfiger at that point.
@@L233233Albas Seiko movements do give it a solid edge in terms of quartz reliability and precision of movements This combo makes it unique choice for those who want style without sacrificing durability
Does anyone go diving, surfing, or snorkeling with a field watch? A Hamilton watch with 50m water resistance is more than sufficient for the usual uses of a field watch. You can even do light swimming in a pool wearing the watch.
I'm going to say that the Momentum is a piece of crap with a crap Seiko movement that doesn't even have Date function (probably the only digital ever made without Date, lol) just so Russell will yell at me, lol.
Bunch of Casios, bunch of Seiko Epson conglomerate watches, plus the typical assortment of boring "military" watches. zzzzZZZZZ. Getting a bit too predictable. And most of it is stuff we've seen before on this channel. What about Citizen? Or maybe even different Casios like their Edifice or Wave Ceptor lines? Victorinox has a bunch of quartz watches under 500. What about Timex? Fossil? Tissot has about 150 quartz watches under 500. So many opportunities to do something new, but nooo, let's do boring field watch #4838 again. You've done very well with your channel but you have to keep it fresh because I'm seriously starting to get bored with always the same-ish assortment Casios and field watches. I get that you're an OCD Gshock buyer and that you have a hard-on for military heritage design watches but from a viewer's perspective, it's just another plastic digital Casio in a similar case to the thousand that came before or just another boring field watch with marketing targeted at airsofters and war nerds. Also, the title says "insane value for money". I just don't see the value proposition with the Elliot Brown. GBP 475 for a quartz watch on a rubber strap with a simple printed dial? Value? Really? I'm not saying it isn't a nice watch, but calling it "insane value" is stretching it a bit, I'd say. The Ronda movement they're using is like 10 bucks when bought in bulk.
Argos have the Casio 5610U for £75. We all love Argos, we all love the 5610U. Surely it should be on the list of value watches!
There's a couple of other good deals at Argos too.
A bargain at that price. I already have two 5610's though so I probably won't get one but will look at other Casio watches in Argos.
Still love my GBD-200 Big ups to the MIP! Love that Hamilton Khaki quartz as well!. Great picks Russ!
Great video, but for under $500 have you considered the Casio Oceanus S100 or T200 ?
The white dial Seiko Field GMT is FANTASTIC
Really beautiful watch 😍
Between Hammilton quartz CWC quartz I'd always choose CWC , it's build quality and it's provenance do it for me
I’d say Hamilton beat CWC on provenance! However! I love the like for like reissues of CWC!
Love that GDB Casio. Reminds me of that similar looking Nixon rubber watch.
I feel you on the M.I.P. I went for the red gbd 200 and am blown away by the legibility.
That Casio in purple and orange is very unique, and very legible, unlike the other ‘Casioak’ negative displays. Let’s see how much it is now…
Looking forward to the new diver, hopefully you will make sure a date window will be conspicuous by its absence…… I would throw my Scurfa Diver one in to the collection
Love the way that you were able to fit so many watches in a short amount of time while not making it sound like you're just listing them. We'll done!
Awesome list MWC! Any of these would be a fine addition to any collection!
Loving what we’re seeing so far of the M-DVR and I can’t wait to see more!
I love the Lorus, really retro! A brand I don't think I've seen around much recently but they are good. I have a very cheap digital of theirs from 1988 that still works and I got my dad a quartz analogue mid 90s for about £20. Got the seiko 5 gmt since your first show about it. I love it also so much. I am happy to own it.😂.
that momentum is cool. reminds me of the rambo watch. i have a lorus full lume dial, its impressive.
Rockin the Elliot brown right now with the nato strap. One of my favorites out of my collection.
I nearly bought that new Seiko 5 GMT... but I found the dial really really topo busy to my taste... I mean 24h on the bezel that's fine. But that 13 to 24h in the center wasn't a good idea in my opinion

Great idea of Hamilton to have dark brown leather strap loops on a military green strap - very military-uniform looking.
I bought the Lorus after your recommendation. Snagged it on prime day from Amazon at just €102 reduced from €180. 😃
Love the Khaki Quartz, I am chuffed it made it into this video.
Cheers Andy!
That's a really nice caslo! One of their best releases, actually, it seems
My ratings of this list:

I started salivating when you talked about the M-HKR II diver… take my order!
I got the Seiko 5 GMT, they are awesome for the price, really like the bracelet. Got it for A$340 ;).
Some of the Bulovas with the sweeping quartz movement are cracking looking affordable watches imo!
Any chance of a video on Seiko Digi’s pls? 🙏
Can we get a review of the Hanhart Preventor HD12 co-designed by TGV? 👀
Great job here. 👏🏻
I have my eye on the Momentum UDT Solar.

A good selection of watches. Something for everyone. There's at least 2 of these I'd buy but my watch collection is getting a bit silly now 🤣
Join the club!!! Embrace it!;)

Citizen promaster Diver eco drive deserves a mention!
Coupla real gooduns on this list! Thanks for sharing mate!
That trophy you hold up always reminds me of a Las Vegas Raiders helmet
The JDM white seiko field is the one, much nicer looking. Damn them for keeping all the good watches lol.
I swear you've been snooping around my computer, Russel! You sly bugger.

Another great mad review Russ, looking forward the mdvr launch, lets hope Mrs mad gives it the thumbs up
Cheers Russell! We shall see!!!
Looking Forward to this 70s inspired diver!
Still waiting for a GW5000U-alike with MIP display + solar...
Me also basic square size with MIP
Nice list mate! I really love the Momentum!
I was unaware of the CASIO ABL 100's existence. Thank you!!! A humble request to review Tissot Gentleman Powermatic 80. Please! please! please!
Seiko SSK023 is a great watch. Videos / photos just don't do it justice. Got mine from Japan, new, for £250. :)
Abl 100 is out of stock on Casio, also still not on Amazon, macy’s is selling it for more then 100$😢
Edit - US market.
I got mine from TicTac Area my friend
A great selection of watches Russ, that G10 is ❤
The squirrel situation was disgraceful.
where in the UK can we get that new gshock? I never came across it on casios site
Tic tac area. They are Spanish . But the service is superb mush
Russell in his element!
Edit: that Elliot Brown again, need to rewatch your review of that, really growing on me 🤔
Wrist size?
Casio Duro???
Hey, I have that Lorus. Literally, that Lorus. 😂
Casio mrw 200 and the timex ironman shock are missing
Horrologist walks into a shop and says" I like to buy a watch please" the shopkeeper replies, "analogue?".
"...No just a watch please'.
🤣
Gold!
What a coincidence, I just added that twin-sensor casio to my Christmas wish list.
Imagine a MIP version of the CA-53W...

The Elliot Brown...yes! Cheers
How is gbd 200 sm violet colour
Great!
@THEMADWATCHCOLLECTOR bro is it good for casual wear
Francis and Gay MWC discount only for Great Britain?
Thanks for Links.
Duro at $49 ?
Indeed. Bought one some time ago and put it on an Ali Express stainless steel bracelet. It really is very accurate only gaining a second or two a month
Oh a 1973 inspired dive watch
Yes please can’t wait been looking at 1973 watches as it’s my birth year
Not sure why you keep referring to the Seiko GMT field watch as 37 and 38mm. It’s listed as 39,5mm.
Wears smaller:)
The Casio ABL-100WE-1AEF is already sold out.
Why have you never review Citizen Nighthawk old model?Know that you hate Citizen but that one you probably like.
I salute the watches
Great list! The Elliot Brown and the Momentum are way cool! Thanks for sharing! 🙏🏼
Why doesn't Volvo make any watches?
I bought that Lorus, but returned it as the bracelet is absolutely awful!
It's so strange hear the pt-br voice ^^
I want them all...... NOW! 😢😊
Awesome picks! 🤩👌

1973 Caravelle Devil Diver 666? 🤞😅
Very nice! Looking forward to the MWC Diver! Thanks for the great list and hope to see more of these lists in the future. 👍🏼
Casio Duro! 😮
Tictacarea gang 💪

This seems like a commercial for watches nobody wants.
What? Don't you like pseudo-military watch #3846? Aren't you excited by them?
Alba watches are value for money watches and also it’s a sub brand of the goat Seiko
Except for maybe the A4B line of chronographs, all Albas look incredibly cheap and tacky and veer clearly into fashion brand territory. Might as well buy Emporio Armani or Tommy Hilfiger at that point.

Between divers and top 10s I'm done.. Where's my tennis racket?
Get out there my friend!!! What watch are you wearing on court!?
Versions of tht Glycine combat sub/GMT and Airman can be purchased brand new under $500...Any chance your colab is at least 41mm?
How I am watching this video in Hindi?
A watch brand offering 50m water resistance for a field watch for over 300 quid is a piss take
Better to get the timex expedition scout for $45 and 50 m of water resistance
A shame that it looks so amazing and is extremely popular, and that the majority of people really don't care about the WR
Agreed a 100% at this price point anything under 100m water resistance should be illegal
@@basitrizvi7708stupid suggestion. Are you English?

Been wearing an Apple Watch as my affordable watch. Then luxury for the rest. Gave away my g shocks and cheap seikos
