In the game, the moment she said that he's pretending to be a father, the look he gave her was as if he was telling her "Don't you dare, don't you dare, Athena" since we all know what happened in the past, so he's trying to make up for it with Atreus.
This demanded so much of the voice actor to pull it off. All the hand movements linked to what he hears and says when he was wrapping the chain around his forearm... It's truly breath taking.
The Actor Christopher Judge put his heart in this scene. He even was able to shed a tear. The source was his personal failure in life. I don't know the specifics nor care to dwell on them. He did amazing as Kratos

@@MkRyse atreus by the end knows kratos was greek and lived in sparta, that he killed gods there, that he killed zeus, and killed many innocent people kratos outright told atreus about most of what hes done and the rest atreus should know implicitly from everything hes seen and heard on the journey, the ONLY things atreus arguably doesnt know by the end is that kratos plunged his old land into complete chaos... which is fixed by now anyway from him giving greece hope and the fact that kratos was pretty much forced to kill his own family
