@@AutiMadi Free camera commands on PC! The nice thing about their engine never changing is the camera commands are the same as Skyrim and Fallout.

After 162.5 hours, finishing the game while exploring every system, finishing all faction quests while meeting the games ending, made me think one thing...
"My eyes are open."
This game captures the rapture and grandeur of how small we are compared to the grand picture, the scale that is the universe itself!
It felt like I was in a Christopher Nolan film, with the soundtrack of Interstellar and Oppenheimer combined... And in the end, with more questions then answers, one thing remained...

One thing I've found hilarious, but also neat, is that sometimes, after taking a photo in-game, that picture just appears on your loading screen.
It's something they already did in Fallout 76.

Yeah that was really cool because I love taking photos in games, I was like "damn the devs took similar pictures to me" but after I saw my character I realized its my photos lol.
I really enjoy it as well. I’m super passionate about using photo mode in games that are as beautiful as this. I like to look back on them. And to have them there when I’m loading into my save, truly remarkable

@@DrMistycal I haven't played it myself but most people say the game is surprisingly polished so Idk. And it doesn't have the best graphics but it really shines in some of the gameplay I've seen. The game did what it set out to do. It's fallout in space
Starfield looks stunning in terms of space and buildings. Hopefully they improve faces in Elder Scrolls 6 lol
They face are fine,it’s just the face motion movements that need a little bit more work! They seem to stiff lol but other then that it’s and awesome game
I love it, but yes, the outdated faces can use an upgrade. But even more than that, the faces wouldn't be so noticeable if during dialogue, NPC bodies were more animated. Hands gesturing, pacing a room, tapping a finger, smoking, drinking, that's what pulls me out of immersion more than faces. If they can improve both it will feel like the game took a drastic leap. It's been too many years of the dialogue zoom in.
The faces will look much better with the improvements to lighting in the new update this week.
Faces are fine, the animation needs work.

When I tell people I love Starfield, one the reasons is because I get experiences like this in the game.
I think to myself, maybe others will get the same wonderful experiences as I do. My intent is always for the other person to have fun and discover things unique to them.. discoveries and new perspectives. I like the idea of my own play through always being different from yours.
… but apparently nowadays this kind of talk will brand me as a Bethesda fanboy who’s tastes are as broken as their games 😢😂😂😂
It kind of seems like there needs to be a mod to make space a bit darker and to have the glare of suns layered on top of objects and only visible when the light source is visible. The shadowed parts of planets and space stations appearing darker than the space behind them- almost as though interplanetary space was full of fog- doesn't really make sense, and also kind of hurts the aesthetic, imo. Space should be a place of gleaming white and inky blackness, not hazy blue-greys.
The combination of Console war garbage mixed with the braindead notion that "Bethesda fell off" has really made the discourse around this game suck.
I've seen a lot of ret*rded takes over the years. The ones about Starfield definitely take the cake in regards to how absurd and stupid they are.
And after 3 months, how do you feel about the discourse?

I feel like they were not daring enough with the planets, give me one with avatar like animals and vegetation just mess dense.

The dual dimension high energy lab was ….. riveting! Good enough for a full feature movie. I’d even pay to watch that story in the theatre

God I love thinking about space then remembering my dads words that we will probably never leave our planet before we kill ourselves first back to the stone age

A lot of the game mechanics made me mad frustrated at the start... but I put on some music, added a couple of qol mods, and I can say this game has really surprised me with it's magical places.
Say what you will about this game, but intersteller suff is visually stunning

I like the Destiny theme music overlay with Starfield graphics. The nostalgia and beauty gave me goosebumps.

My laptop runs at the lowest settings for the game, so it doesn't look like this at all.

Starfield is not a space sim
SpaceEngine is a space sim/planetarium, not a space exploration sim. There is not that much detail in the surface of planets and flying spaceships is barely even a thing.
Starfield is neither a space sim nor a space exploration sim. It's an RPG set in space.
Starfield puts exploration an a optional part of the game, it is advertised as a RPG game with choices, role play mechanics, and quests, they added exploration as another part of the game if you want to do that, like with ship building and outpost building. But full and centered it's a RPG with pretty decent looking graphics, if you pry in certain parts of the game then you'll see some flaws, but that's mostly if you start looking for the problems

The HDR is terrible on this game blacks don’t look black and shadows have this weird grey effect on it graphics aren’t nothing to gasp at to be honest

I don't like the stars in the game, when you look at them from the planets, even if the star is red on the map, you still only see the white color, this is ruin the whole thing for me, they all look the same.
But that's how it is in real life. Go out at night, away from light pollution, and try to find a red star.

I played around quite a lot, aprox 200 hrs and thought it at least looked great. Then, for fun, I slapped in a Red Dead redemption 2 disc and realised just how far behind Bethesda really is.
