On this episode I remove the driver's side rear corner and discover that my D-pillar is rotted out and needing replacement. I remove the rust from the rear frame and replace the mud flap with a fresh new mud flap and get that much closer to having the entire bus rust free! Hope you enjoy and thank you for watching.

Bike ride was the best part
I’ve gotta agree
Rust never sleeps
and stock never goes out of style
Nice fabrication on the rest end of your bus 🚌👍🏻🏴
Your welding is getting even better
Your work ethic is second to none 👍🏻🏴

Leaving a comment to help the algorithm
I'm enjoying this series
Great work, I wouldn't know you have never done this if you didn't say so.
Soundproof and also automatic sliding door
Allways learning something. Good job

“Where is tangies soul?” 😂 love it! Great episode, I really enjoyed this! Keep the vibe going.
Glad you enjoyed!
I ve been watching this entire series over the past few days andi am impressed with your progress, on the bus and your skills. I dont understand why you have this little viewers.
Keep going strong!
Media blasters are inexpensive. Use that instead of naval jelly
Great content, I'm about to start a restoration on my 1990 nissan sentra and these videos give the motivation needed I can't wait. New subscriber
Good luck on your project! Glad I could help motivate you
Great work!!! Well Done!!
Every time I watch one of your videos I'm glad you decided to start posting again because watching you restore your bus has so far been a long and fun journey.
Quality job. Don't feed the rust, feed the algorithm.
Cool
Balance. Huh news to me.
Thanks for the quick update. Will follow future developments closely as I’m hooked already 😊
Awesome work.
Great work, I have to do many of the same repairs so thanks for sharing 👍
Another great video. Giving me the courage to fix the rust in my bus.
👍👍nice job 🤔🤔
You absolutely have the right attitude about removing all rust. Doing that means when you seal everything back up, it is like new... No shortcuts repairing vehicles that's for sure...unless you want to be redoing again down the road... Thumbs Up!
Fantastische Arbeit 👍👍
Loving the series so far, very informative
The endless rust💥
I started with Brandon's Bus and love it. I just found your channel and after watching 👀 the first video on yesterday I'm a new subscriber. I love hands on metal fabrication and, the skilled people that do it with passion. I will be watching your previous videos, and new ones whenever you drop them. Thanks for sharing 👍.
Love your work. It is so easy to watch and is very informative.
Thank you so much!
Super work, as always. Completely agree about removing all the rust before fixing new panels. Do a thorough job once rather than a poor job over and over.
For the algorithm. 😁
Working hard man! I dig your energy level!!
Awesome job. I’m literally a month or two behind you. I have to do around the torsion tube repair first then the back end and the valance, rear quarters. I’m in the uk and we can’t get that naval jelly rust treatment, but really enjoying your approach and it’s always comforting when someone else is doing the same. Keep going it’s great. 👍
Really exciting to see the rust almost gone and look forward to seeing the plans you have for the rest of the bus. Inspirational as always. Just wish it weren’t so damn hot here in Florida and could work on mine more.
👍
Great work ! I’ll subscribe and definitely watch your progress on the bus.
Great work once again, but it seems strange that you dont just cut it all out at the same time and then Navel jelly it... 🤔
Hey, I just found your channel 😊 I also have bus, mine is from 1978. and in need of restoration, but we drive it like it is for now... I was wondering are you going to film electricity setup so we can follow up? 😅
Keep up the good work, you have a new subscriber 😊
Greetings from Croatia.
I believe the VAL in valence is pronounced like Valerie or Valley.
That Q panel is looking similar to my one, im just working on, but i bought the cheaper smaller rear panel and cut it to shape under the indicator/ lights lens !!
The smaller repair piece is made for the early bays correct?
@@Vangabonders yes, but vw parts claim its for all T2s, but as the rear light cluster is differant it doesnt fit, but i cut around and made it fit !! So more work but cheaper !!
Sand blaster. Use it
👍👍
It rhymes with balance like the comment says... think 'valens' not 'valarns'
Unless you also say 'balarns' :D
😂 I finally understand
and well
Searched "valance" pronunciation and it depends on your language as, over the centuries, word pronunciation evolves.
What tool are you using to take weld down before sanding finished repair?
Great video! yesterday was very entertaining, kept me up way too late😂, I’m guessing your battery died just before you got home. Love your fabrication, but I’m slightly concerned that the mud flap is too long??? And its defo at the wrong angle (easy fix) ❤️
It is at the wrong angle, the passenger side was the same way. Once I put the corner into place I simply bent it to the correct shape and it looks great! My battery did die yesterday, glad you joined us on the adventure
@@Vangabonders Me too. Also meant to say is it worth/possible to get a panel cut of that inner arch and splice it in. I saw an episode of your vlog where Russ’s engine blew up and there was a chopped up bus at the garage, just a thought.
Comment,!
What mixture do you use for welding ? CO2 or Argon + CO2 ?
Argon and co2 mix
@Vangabonders thank you, Its quite expensive here about 90$ just to fill it up. Will go with co2 for now
Algorithm
Your original pronunciation of valence is correct. Don't believe everything on RUclips.
