Ive been to kinosaki twice now, and I intend to go again! Seeing this video brought me back and makes me want to go again. Its so peaceful and I think the happiest I've been on a trip. I love how much you share about this town especially the view. If you ever go again, they opened a scenic train there this year!
I honestly can’t wait to go back again! I agree, it was also my favorite part and I felt so in tune with my body. I will check out that scenic train! Another thing I love about Japan, the beautiful trains 😆💛
I am traveling to Kinosaki this december, thank you for your fun, thoughtful, informative, and well-shot video! I especially appreciate the part teaching me how to wear my yukata!! thank you! Happy and safe travels :D
Thank you and you’re welcome! Haha when I first saw the yukata I was so confused, and at the onsens you will take it off and on many times, one time I wore it wrong and the Onsen receptionist noticed right away and let me know! So now, left side on top is engrained in my head 😅 I hope you have a wonderful time during your trip! I’m so excited for you 😆
I was very confused about what to book and what was on offer in Kinosaki. Your detailed video helped me make an informed decision! Thank you so much. :)
Thank you so much for such a brilliant video! I was struggling on planning my trip and this has cleared up my thoughts on Kinosaki. You have shot the video beautifully and have captured the actual location so well
I'm really happy to have clicked on this video. The narration is great and I enjoy all the explanations. Do you also have an Instagram too to follow along? I will certainly binge watch this tomorrow! Yay!
Thank you so much! I am working towards making better videos to share with everyone. Instagram is the same handle, thank you again!!! 🥰 Have fun binge watching :)
I've heard of Kinosaki Onsen, but never got the chance to visit the place as my interest lies with temples and shrines. Your forthright presentation of Kinosaki Onsen makes me want to go there as soon as my next trip to Japan. New subscriber.
A friend in my Japanese conversation club sent me to this video. This is the kind of thing I would like to do… And I have a friend who might come with me who would absolutely love all that seafood. The natural areas look great for exploration. Of course I’m going to have to see a big city if I go to Japan, but these are the kinds of places that would heal my soul.
A conversation club sounds so fun, I am jealous! I agree, the big cities are popular for a reason, but when you are tired, visit Kinosaki to replenish your body! But honestly, if you find any onsen near your travels, I would say go for that! There are plenty of beautiful onsen towns in Japan, and you can heal at any one of them ☺️💛 Seafood is also abundant all around!
Thank you! And I hope you have a blast! Sadly it seems like Satono Yu is closed for renovations at the moment and no end date listed, but the other bath houses are nice, especially Goshono Yu! 😁✈️🇯🇵
Thank you so much 😭 And yes! All iPhone 15 Pro, but in Premiere I would try to edit the saturation/exposure a little with the default Lumetri editor (However, I’m a total noob in color correcting video footage at the moment!)
Do you have a recommendation for the Onsen? Which ones were your favorites? Is the last one on the vid open again? I am asking as I won't be able to go in all Onsen I guess
@@hoteru1 I only stayed one night and I was only able to go to one onsen, the onsen in my hotel :( It was very nice, but I wish I would have had more time to go to all of them.
Yes according to the Kinosaki website, it is still under renovation. They do a great job keeping their website up to date! It is definitely still worth it to visit Kinosaki even with one of the onsen doing renovations!
Majority of the cost for the expensive stay was definitely the dinner! It was too much food for 2 people, but very delicious and I still think about those crabs 🤤 And it was nice not having to worry about finding and reserving a crab dinner in town! For the budget hotel, I really liked how I didn’t have to worry about making my stay there worth it, so I explored town more. For the expensive stay, the facilities were gorgeous and the baths are more comfortable than the public ones. So I wanted to stay inside more and explore less of the town!

Thank you for this video! Where can we buy the onsen pass?😅 We might take a day trip instead due to our short trip in kyoto, but we’ve been thinking about KInosaki onsen and heard great things about it! 😊
You can buy the Onsen Pass at the Tourist Information Center Sozoro right across from the train station! Also, any of the bath houses will sell the day pass as well. Me and my wife stayed at Yuraku (just around the corner from your first stay.) Unfortunately the weather wasn't as cooperative as we would have hopped, with it being quite rainy, so we kept walking to a minimum. Luckily Yuraku had everything we wanted and everything was great. There are a TON of delicious foods to try out. I also highly recommend at least doing a 2D1N trip out.
Oooh Yuraku look’s gorgeous, I’m glad you and your wife were able to make the most of it! I definitely want to go back during the snowy season so I will keep them in mind ☺️ I remember it was drizzling during my last day, but I still went to check out Kounoyu Onsen and used the outdoor bath. It was an interesting feeling with cold rain on my top but hot water on the bottom 😆

Er, it’s a different place…the onsen is in Hyogo prefecture, which is what she actually said, 2.5hrs away from Kyoto. But go ahead and correct her about somewhere you’ve never been and obviously never even heard of, it must be great to be so smart 😂

She is Japanese
she said Kyoto, not kyoro
We all have different accents, I thought her voice sounded lovely.
Er, it’s a different place…the onsen is in Hyogo prefecture, which is what she actually said, 2.5hrs away from Kyoto. But go ahead and correct her about somewhere you’ve never been and obviously never even heard of, it must be great to be so smart 😂
Leave her alone, she said it right and you're a jerk.
Well done video!
Thank you very much!
