What a fantastic video. The information, the graphics, the gorgeous footage, the bonus tips and advice...I'm quite speechless. Thank you so much for your hard work. Fantastic channel.
@@SoloTravelPOV Oh if you're 'fun after work hobby' produces work of this quality I can only imagine what you'll be doing in a couple of years time. I'm so excited to see your what your videos will be like in two years time. Wow! Good health to you and your loved ones in 2025!! Your audience will always be here, waiting to receive the gifts of your labour and creativity.☺
Thank you ☺️! We went in late February, the inn keepers said it was unusually light snow that year and has been snowing less and less during that time. Heaviest snowfall will be around late December and January. I hope you have a lovely trip! ⛄️
I looked up options and there doesn’t seem to be much choices from Tokyo to Shirakawago direct on a car service, or not enough reviews so I’m not sure how much to trust those. It might be easier to take the Shinkansen to one of the big three cities, Kanazawa, Takaoka or Toyama. Then from there, there is an abundance of private car tours that are reasonably priced and also has a lot of reviews. You will then be only ~1 hour away by car to Shirakawago! The Shinkansen from Tokyo to those 3 cities is fast (~2hrs) and very comfortable, and might even be more pleasant than a direct 5 hour car ride from Tokyo to Shirakawago. My only worry would be that Tokyo Station is big and hectic, so get there early to take your time boarding! I too want to bring my mom to see Shirakawago one day, so I have been thinking about easier routes like this to accommodate her! ☺️
Yes! Here is the link to this Inn and other inns in Shirakawago: shirakawa-go.gr.jp/en/stay/39/ I checked the Japanese website for the Inn in the video and they are currently closed because of construction on the roof. It is still pending on when they will be open again, but most likely late winter/spring. I suggest checking the link above for other farmhouse inns in the village! And I hope this inn opens in time for your trip!
This was late February! Currently it is not snowing! You can check through the live webcam on the Shirakawago website! It will be snowy in late December and January ⛄️🤍
Hi, just found your channel while researching for a trip. Does it seem like the audio quality is worse on this video than the previous one about Kinosaki? Perhaps its just preference. Great stuff though - your channel seems shockingly small for the level of quality that you do.
Thank you! I am still learning along the way on how to edit better, especially audio! I did change settings for this video, so thank you for the feedback, audio settings is what I worry about the most! 😅 This channel started as a project to do after work and share all the information I accumulated from vacation planning, I will continue to work on making new videos and keep growing! ☺️💛
You took a shot at tourists not ruining your morning but in fact that’s what you are right? I know the distinction between tourists and visitors is blurred somewhat especially when you speak the language and fit right in.
So wait are you not a tourist yourself. You made a few derisive comments about the whole tourism problem when that’s exactly what you are. Tourist or visitor what is the difference and where do you stand on this matter? Japan will see 37 million visitors in 2024 and even more in 2025.

さるぼぼ人形は今は生産が間に合わなく数が少ないと日本のニュースで言っていました。
手作り作業のために人手が少なくなった事が理由。
そうなんですね! 😲 手作りだと大変ですよね。

Reading this I expected her to go into a rant about it. Youre overreacting a bit😂
