This looks like a really beautiful place, thank you very much for sharing it with us ! So far, I have stayed only in one onsen village (Kurokawa Onsen in Kyushu, last year, it was absolutely great). Next March, we will travel to Tohoku and plan to stay in Ginzan Onsen, I really look forward to it. We love staying in Ryokans, for the food, the onsen, the japanese rooms, and the general atmosphere. Some of my favorites so far are in Yakushima, Miyajima, Beppu and Kawaguchiko.

I bet the places that have private baths will let you in those ones, tattoos are just likely to worry other guests so if you're not out in public it should be alright.

Hoshi onsen was where I ended my 2 week car rental visiting Tohoku. Please be careful, there was a hentai in the mixed bath. He walked around the bath and veered very close to the female changing room. Also was doing thrust exercises and stretches.

Thus, the Japanese government banned mixed bathing for the sake of the country's honor, but the people strongly opposed the abolition, claiming that it was part of Japanese culture and tradition. After World War II, newly built mixed-gender hot springs and public baths were prohibited by law, but traditional hot springs with a history of over 100 years are given special permission to hold engagements. These old, authentic hot springs are a great way to enjoy traveling. However, you should be careful of perverts. Takaragawa Onsen, located northeast of Hoshi Onsen, is famous for its mixed-gender hot springs, with so many European visitors.
Such a pretty onsen, I would love to visit one day. P.S.: A small note on subtitles: in English "good" and "tasty" are 2 separate words, with completely different meanings. So, please translate "おいしい" as "tasty", "delicious" or "with a good taste". Translating it as "good" sounds strange and without Japanese knowledge does not convey a proper meaning.

法人温泉には、2回ほど宿泊した事があります。古いお宿なのに、渡り廊下等もとても清潔で、その渡り廊下の窓に付いている鍵も祖母の家の窓に付いていた様な古い鍵で、鍵を見ているだけでも癒されます。温泉もとても気持ち良く入ることが出来ました。１番新しい露天風呂が付いているお風呂は、新緑の季節は、緑がとても美しく内湯から見る景色は１枚の絵の様でした。また行きたいと思うお宿です。
