    Steph, you're contributing to the reason why these companies keep getting away with this shit. I made a comparison some years ago with gaming and DLC (downloadable content) where companies release half ass games at full price and then constantly release "features" or updated versions of the game that should have been sold with the game from the jump. Its been going on for years because people KEEP PAYING FOR IT instead of speaking with their wallets.
    Its literally the same situation, or will be at some point with these cars. Cars should not have a subscription to whats already available to use. They also shouldn't have "DLC" or microtransactions. You buy a 50k-60k vehicle, often times more than that in today's economy, you should have ALL of its features availble.

      I wouldn’t exactly say he’s condoning this bs the man is simply reviewing it and telling people what to expect. Dude even said he’s not excited for the ev for those reasons. He speaks truth that’s the only reason dodge had to abolish the v8. They screwed up. Now 100% you’re right you shouldn’t have to download power packs via software when no mechanical change was made. Screw that. Not paying for apps either. Not buying a dodge again 🤣. I couldn’t even justify paying more than 75k for a new one that has a v8 and a blower let alone what they pay now 100k 🤣 already a clown for paying that much so really how many idiots will purchase this I think enough sadly just like the dlc on games. Now to be fair it’s not exactly completely the same considering that dlcs make your game run slower and require more updates and patches often more down time to the user than what the car manufacturer will provide. Other than that it’s the exact same agreed and it’s robbery. Well said.

      @@SKG-xg5bk BS! this is solely on Dodge. If you knew anything about the company you'd know that. Do Some F-in Research the Chrysler Corporation and its Entities haven't been independent since the late 70's they've been bailed out 3 times + gutted by a Private Equity Firm. They started milking the cow before 2015 when they were still owned by Fiat, they barely invested in the cars or the V8s you love so much, while Ford & GM where doing both ecoboxes & R/D on Alternative Projects, meanwhile meeting the standards the entire industry has to meet. Fiat Chrysler was riding the gravy train off the rails, they pushed this off for as long as they could, because the platform was so old by 2015 there was none, if any profit lost on each car sold. The public was willing to snatch these cars up like candy at a Halloween Party. It was a No Brainer, for Upper Management till those Cafe Credits Bills started coming due, as Stellantis took over company, they quickly realized the ride was over and adjusted accordingly. No one ever told them not to diversify their car portfolio with actual viable eco friendly vehicles, to CYA the performance division of their company.

      Funny because ford partnered with Elon for this infrastructure to use charging stations leaving Chevy and dodge to fend. Further driving them into the ground as that is the biggest down fall. Sure you can charge at home but then you’re restricted especially if it’s more powerful.

    It’s basically not much difference to the GM Ultium BEV cars.
    This is the END.
    No more V8.
    No more Hellcat.
    No more Demon.
    I have no doubt EV will out perform them in a straight line. The Lucid Sapphire is able to beat Bugatti in the 1/4th.
    The question is: how high will prices rise?
    How long will current Charger/Challenger owners be able to resist the urge to upgrade?
    Many of them are sitting in high-interest NINJA loans and saddled by depreciation.

      There's no urge to upgrade when there's range anxiety and the charging infrastructure isn't vastly convenient in any location, and a wait time to charge on top that, and the car as a synthetic exhaust, and the thing will eat through tires, and you gotta be heavily aware in the winter during a deep freeze of how the range drops like a rock. What urge???? And this coming from a tesla owner. The owner urge is a quick zero to 60 which if you're already a dodge owner, you can keep your hemi and upgrade it, instead of spending the extra money on an electric dodge you can't really customize or work on willingly on your own and not cost yourself any range issue with your hemi by making it go faster because gas is everywhere. I have a tesla but I wouldn't miss it if i got rid of it. I have a 700hp pontiac. So I'm good

    The Problem is that the LX Platform and the Hemi Motors. Have been around forever. They have been paid for years ago. Dodge knew this day was coming and sat on it's profits. They "Dodge" built a Culture around those cars and Motors. They could have years ago designed the Next Generation of more efficient V8 Motors. But then Stellantis (a foreign company) came in, and changed that direction. It's a drastic turn and not phased in. Imagine Harley Davidson saying they are going EV and small displacement 2 Strokes... It major Culture Shock. So Hang on, it's about to get very interesting...

    The hurricane v6 with some bigger turbos should be 800 HP for v6s seen a few guys modding them. Me rather get a 5.0 and a ported whipple and have 800 850 HP for 55k

    Very well explained Steph! At the end of day it's all businesss behind the scenes and it's almost guaranteed if Dodge kept going down the road they were on even though they were selling these units ,the fines from the EPA would have kept coming down for every vehicle that does not meet regulations and Stellantis was not trying to pick up that tab. I think both variants are going to be very good for the streets where it really matters.

      They're selling the current units? Not according to all the dealers with loads of them sitting on the lots. Chargers & Challengers are a couple of the slowest sellers of all vehicles right now. The Hornet is number 1 slowest seller. Look it up.

      ​@@judgegixxer They were selling units up until they started marking them up. Either way they are still paying fines from 2019 models for these cars. Stellantis does not want to keep paying the fines which is why the hemis had to go.

    That coupe is a huge mofo! Nice styling, but misses the mark. Dodge should have redone the Challenger, and updated the Hemi. They should have developed a Mustang and Camaro size Challenger, and a new Charger sedan. And they should have offered a manual transmission in both.

    300 miles is about average for these cars.
    You’ll be lucky to get 220 miles of range with interior options on.
    Unfortunately, they claim it’s 400v architecture and CCS.
    They need 800v and NACS as standard. They claim the Banshee will be 800v.

    Yup - I had to rant about this too. In their unveil video, they make it sound like government regulations are forcing them to no-longer produce the HEMI, when it reality, they mismanaged the brand. There's a reason why Ford can continue to produce the Mustang w/ the V8 - Because Ford has numerous Hybrid options, several fully-electric vehicles, 4-cylinder turbo's in some of their bigger offerings like the Bronco - their fleet MPG average is much higher. Dodge on the other hand - Charger, Challenger, Durango - All available w/ 5.7, 6.4 and 6.2 Supercharged. Sure, they all had the Pentastar too, but that was a big, old V6 and the vehicles were so heavy, they still got poor fuel economy.

    The only fast X model Tesla are the plaids which has 3 electric motors, low 10 second cars the performance model x are mid 11s and weigh 5600lbs. That's 200lbs less than the Dodge EV

    I love the looks of the new Charger, but definitely wouldn't even consider buying the EV verision, but that 2026 twin turbo v6 seems like a great plan with the new looks and updated interior. If done right this definitely going to take market from our the Euro car companies. A fast 4 wheel drive driftable hatch back that looks great!

    I don't care for any of the EV stuff, A lot of variables come into play, Weather Climates, Grid goes out,
    All I really want to know is how much does it weigh with the Hurricane Engine
    My opinion is If it's not under 4000 lbs meaning with the Driver, I would say imo it's a failure, EV version will be fast no matter what despite being almost 3 tons As far as EV hybrid,
    I would definitely buy the
    RAMCHARGER 1500, If it works as they say it should it will be a hit

    8:08 it’s not my thing. To me that’s a rip off and like @Fade2BlackSS said that’s basically the same as micro transactions in video games. Trying to squeeze every penny out of the consumer for features that should be STANDARD on what you bought right there. If the car came with that horse power you should only pay to upgrade it like they do with the stage kits and not neuter what you originally bought.
    So I will let you keep that ideology.

    The 24 performance Porsche and Audi's are just as heavy and heavier than the Dodge.
    As far as pricing... Stellantis charged more for vehicles the past few years to have lower ev prices today. And Stellantis has upgraded to the Tesla charging network

    Let's be real...sales won't be there. Look at the feedback viewers and consumers have been saying when the reveal happen! Most are negative they don't want EV or the Inline-6.
    When have you seen a car company reveal of a new generation vehicles that had so much negative press and consumers saying they don't want it...being successful at launch!? This is a pipe dream. When you stop listening to your customers and push your core audience away and poorly execute the brands future...you can't magically expect to replace them with "new customers" and think things are going to be successful 😅. #DeadBrandWalking

    So why is Dodge claiming that the ev scat is faster than a redeye when it has a slower 1/4 and top speed than a redeye. Also it’s said that the 6 pack is gonna weigh more than a hellcat if so the 6 pack will be a disappointment too

    They need to lighten these baies up and fast-track their 6xe and new V8 powerplants. Dodge will try to blame consumer's after the electric Chargers flop. And I'd rather pay someone else for more power than have Dodge sell me the hardware, neuter it, and require I pay them to unlock it.

      @@wolfgangbarrio5043 yeah definitely better than the EV. But it's got a lot of the same issues it's going to be extremely heavy especially for that v6. I have a feeling that motor is going to be really overworked. And I believe it can only go to 137 mph till it tops out.

      ⁠@@jeremyvasquez6913it will weigh the same as the chargers today but AWD… over 545 HP…possibly a 1000hp variant as well…THE HEAVY ASS BATTERY over 2k pounds in the EV variant is why the EV variant weighs over 5800 pounds…..the INLINE twin turbo will be a great performance platform to build off of…very tunable very easy to work on and more efficient than the hemi was across the board…it is what it is

      @@jeremyvasquez6913 Even the HO inline-6 motor is apparently only 441 pounds compared to the current 5.7L which is 560lbs. Bet on the 6-pack Chargers being only 4,000lbs without those giant batteries weighing it down. It's going to be a killer.

    Dodge is dead at the moment. You want turbo 6 cylinders you goto BMW, you want EV you just buy a plaid. No reason to buy from Dodge when they already suck at software updates (Uconnect 5 is a disaster) and 99% of EV life is software.

    Dodge is dead to me while Hurricane Slurrican whatever is not even the near the same or in the ball park for me unless Dodge does have a V8 variant under wraps but now ?…Dodge is dead to me and the only auto manufacturer to dedicate to keep on making the V8 is FORD soooo….HELLO FORD & to their Coyote 5.0 !

    Dodge is dead. These cars are crap. No one wants a six cylinder Charger or a 6,000 lb. Charger EV. What a joke. This is going to be one of the biggest fails in history
