With Li Mei, Tanya, and Darrius (cameo fighter). This MK’s direction seems to be bringing back 3D era characters. I won’t be surprised if the final villain for this MK is Onaga.

I love the new twist on Tarkatans not being a race, but people inflicted by a disease. I'm super excited to see the story mode in its entirety
prefered them being a race and mileena could have just had a disease instead of being genetically made but oh well he looks nearly the same

@sharkyslegoandotherstuff same I hate the fact that it's a sickness now but glad to see Baraka back. However one of my favorite parts of his character was the pride he took in his race

Baraka is always one of my mains, so it's great to see him back. I wish they showed his Fatality, you know it's gonna be brutal.

Baraka no doubt will have gruesome fatalities but I doubt they will top Liu Kang’s Black Hole Fatality

Li Mei was very unexpected, one of the last 3D characters I expected and a fun choice
Why? She already was in MKX, albeit unplayable. She was one of the most likely returns from the 3D era, hence why so many fans predicted her inclusion.
I'd put Li Mei under the potential for other 3D-era characters though like Havik, Frost, Hotaru, Kai and Drahmin. But she's the most interesting character revealed here
@@richardw1043 Khameleon is more interesting in my not so humble opinion. We know next to nothing about her, unlike Li Mei which has been featured before in several MK games, both playable and unplayable.
These reveal trailers are 10/10, I have never been this pumped for an MK game

I don't know which of these designs I love the most. Lei Mei gets her own moveset after almost a full decade, Tanya looks amazing with the bostaff/flail, and even Baraka looks great with those fiery swords. This game has so much promise.

Li Mei looks awesome. Baraka too. Surprised Tanya only has her glowing eyes in what looks like a stance. Darrius being a kameo is surprising to say the least.
Now we're getting more insight on the story of Liu Kang's timeline. Nice! And I love the rivalry between Li Mei and Tanya. Very different personalities on here and their powers and moves are so crisp. In addition, this also answers about Tarkatans. So it's a disease in this timeline and those Tarkatan are infections, including Baraka. Very interesting. Opens up an inquiry about who Baraka use to be and what his human form looked like in this timeline.

The lore reboot of Mileena, Baraka, and Tarkatans being inflicted with a disease is actually pretty dope.

I've been waiting since MK Deception to see Darrius again. Even though he's only a kameo, I'm still happy to finally see a forgotten 3D Era character. Li Mei also looks awesome

that second baraka combo was pretty righteous. I loved the almost 100% combos you could do with him in the last game. I've always loved mortal Kombat since the 90s but baraka is the first character i ever took seriously and tried to master

Tanya from the MK4, MK Deception and Armageddon to the MKX (her best version without a doubt) had brown skin, long, straight and simple hair and had Arab/Egyptian features and the appearance of an woman between 25 and 30 years old and with a voice that sounds very young and attractive, and is a thousand times better than the new version, now they made her full wakanda with a look of a 60-year-old veteran.
Its the spirit of age i guess....and Its another different time line....but her look is still egyptian from her outfit, and skin and hairstyle is african, but Egypt is part of the African Continent (and the Asian continent as well)...so why not.
@@charlesmannhighm635 still a different culture though. Africa is still a diverse continent with different cultures and backgrounds, Egyptians for example.
I had to google it, so Tanya was supposedly to be a Maghribi.
I like Tanya visual, her moves are fresh. And her face is very Kelly Rowland.

I'm really liking what I'm seeing here, this story should be fun and I love the twist in lore, especially the new take on Baraka and his species being diseased humans instead of separate monster warriors from Outworld.

I would like to see Dairou again in mk but I would like to see him as a Japanese samurai as planned from the beginning... Dairou has a lot of potential, he just needs a good moveset inspired by the samurai from anime and video games. Dairou deserves a good redesign and I insist that Dairou would look perfect as a Japanese samurai in the new mk12

I am honestly happy to see the return of Lei Mei.
From now on in the entire history of mk I hope that LIU KANG stays as the new protector God of the earth and that RAIDEN always stays as a human since those excellent characters so iconic in fighting games deserve this excellent development, evolution and improvement and not being pigeonholed or stagnant. In addition, the public that grew up playing the mk1 of the 90s feels more identified since LIU KANG and RAIDEN evolved together with them and from now on they have a new path to follow on their own. Also LIU KANG deserves his reward and RAIDEN deserves his freedom

Reptile should be like classic MK2 where he is a green ninja using a human mask and takes it off for fatality only, I remember that was so impacting when he was introduced in the franchise.

How glad I am to see Tanya! I buy the game just for the sake of it. And I'm a little disappointed with her new design, something more from the Amazons, forest witches, like in the first game where she appeared. But I fell in love with her MK10 design so much that I'm saddened by this new way
