Feels great to see the new Reptile. He honors his first look and the second look. I am glad that Reptile is getting the respect that he deserves. Guy was the punching bag of Mortal Kombat. Here he's actually a good and sympathetic character.
Was also great to see Ashrah and Havik. The latter was frequently mentioned on the second continuity, but he never played in the second timeline. I also loved Ashrah in Deception. Glad that she was expanded.
Too bad Syzoth(Reptile) became the punching bag to his own kind. Honestly sadge

I'm glad to see havok and the chaos realm back and playing a role in things again, such a cool area that got didn't quite hit the mark when they first showed up but I always thought had excellent potential!
Unfortunately I don’t think there is gonna be a chaos realm as his bio says he’s from the order realm but since he’s an anarchist and the order realm is a classist oppressive society were they treats the lower class like trash he wants to take it down the system which I think Keene he’s gonna turn it into the chaos realm
I don't think I've ever seen a game with this many back to back bangers for trailers. I love how many characters have swapped alignment and then there's Havik being Havik. So awesome!

Reptile looks incredible!! They gave our boy the justice he deserved! Havik was also a very nice addition, I feel he's underappreciated considering how cool and interesting he is. Ashrah is ok, I'm not really a fan of her but I know there's people that love her, so they must be very happy.

I love how human reptile's outfit has a long "sash" (sorry idk how to call it) on his back that mimics a lizard's tail. his design is awesome

The song is called Power Funnel by Hi-Finesse music. They've said they're releasing an album with all their MK trailer music on it. They've pretty much done most of the trailers.
I feel like Baraka would have been in this showcase instead of the Umgadi one, as "Banished" fits more to his character, but i feel like he plays a larger role in the outworld royalty aspect of the story

Seeing Reptile back, and with a human form is jaw dropping. They absolutely nailed his design. Nothing feels better than seeing your main return from vacation.

Reptile's always been one of my favorites and it's super cool that he's a good guy and being addressed by name now. It's also neat that they found a way to keep in both his forms. I've personally always preferred the more lizard-like look, but it's nice to see ninja reptile get more love. Plus they made him look like a full on lizard monster in his natural form which is super neat!

The lizard forms were all terrible. I’ve always disliked them. I mean you have your opinion but my god over the years he’s looked horrible. Never liked the idea of a ninja being beast like. But this MK1 version is stunning. Keeping in both but separate. Especially the edgy tattoo look. My god it’s so fitting.
@@ejoel92XD Agree to disagree. I've always loved the lizard forms. They set him apart from the generic ninja look and gave him his own vibe. Plus the idea of a beast training to be a ninja is just way cooler to me than a ninja that just randomly has reptile powers.
I am the opposite. I always preferred his human form. But this is a nice, though surprising, fusion of the two. The either full beast or human is wonderful. I also like how when his arms strike the turn into his actual form.

Every time I think “it can’t get me more hype than the last” then I end up in awe every time, I love this franchise.

@@Wafflemister Back in the early 2000s( the Golden era of gaming) you had to grind to unlock characters, maps, skins, guns etc. This is how it should be. The future of gaming shouldn't include micro transactions and dlcs after we've already purchase a game and what do you mean what's wrong with dlc? Everything is wrong with dlc.
Seeing Havik, Stryker and Ashrah back in MK is a real treat, hopefully Netherrealm will bring back Onaga and Mavado as well. Also Reptile's design kinda has main character vibes going on.

We almost have all Ninjas back again... now that Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Smoke, Rain and Reptile is back and Ermac is on the DLC set, only missing Tremor.

I was dying hoping that havik would be amongst the roster and I'm happy he is
Havik looks great! I barely played the PS2 games back in the day, but I recognised him instantly. His name just popped into my head.
The backstory and personality given to reptile is on a whole new level! Great design great character and swag... also the trailer score was on point!
And he still has a good bit of brutality and ferality in his fighting style when he shifts to his Zaterran form, especially shown in his Fatality at the end of the trailer!
It’s pretty cool seeing Reptile on the opposite side for a change, and I love his new shapeshifting combat style, and the updated animation for his acid attacks
Looks like Reptile's lizard form is modeled after the one from the 2021 MK movie. I'm ok with that. It was a pretty solid design. And finally, he's human again and has a personality. This game is amazing.
And it make sense to have such a bulky beast with him capable of chowing down on humans size fighters it would’ve looked a bit off if he was the model from X
Also the one from the 2021 movie was based on his Deadly Alliance form.

His big lizard from is his true self, and being able to appear human is apparently something unique to Syzoth compared to the other Zeterrans.

The idea of Reptile being on the good guys' team, and keeping his dignity by being addressed as 'Syzoth'- his true name- makes me happy beyond words.
Also the dual form of ninja and giant crocodile-lizardman is monumental. Can't wait to play him!

Reptile being a shape shifter is a perfect fit for him. Let's hope there's a actual story behind the character this time.
Ashrah looks great imo. It looks like her story hasn't changed a lot from the one on the original timeline. The fact that they showcased their moveset against Raiden (since everyone thought she was Lady Raiden when she first came) is the most MK thing ever. The hat is there in case you wonder. (reptile disapperance part) probably she takes it off to fight.
Havik looks sick!
Sareena coming as a kameo doesn't rule out she can be playable down the line.

Seeing my boy, Reptile, finally back and how NR have handled him this time brings a tear to my eye. He's got both his human ninja and Saurian forms, he's a good guy now, and he's still an absolute badass. He's finally getting the spotlight he's so deserved. ❤🔥💪
Tbf, Reptile has never really been an evil guy. He's been an antagonist sure, as his loyalties are always to Outworld... but never evil. His singular goal was following someone who could restore his lost race. Shang Tsung, then Shao Kahn, then Kitana, all false promises though. His story is actually quite sad, as the reason why his appearance kept devolving was a result of him going mad over time over being unable to restore his race., thus unable to maintain the levels of concentration needed to maintain a humanoid form.
@@kibuki91 Thanks mate, but I know. lol He was more neutral, but he did align himself with evil. Either way, he definitely wasn't considered a "good guy" before.
And yeah, his story was already pretty sad. It's a crime it wasn't brought to the forefront and expanded upon as a main character's story would be in previous MK installments. It would've been really compelling, IMO.
Well, if there was any doubt before, there isn't now. lol He's a good guy, and I have to say, it's really satisfying.
@@MechaG2 I think Liu Kang resolved his desolate fate in his new universe, I really like the changes so far. Him basically combining Scorp's clan into the Lin Kuei to resolve that neverending conflict across the multiverse, him aligning Reptile with good this time, and I'm pretty sure there's more in store for us. Really hyped to see how my favorite character changed things, lol

Considering the past couple of Netherrealm games, I’m sure he’ll be customizable. The chances of him not having a mask are very low.
@@thehale_ I know I just wish his default looked cool too, there would have been so much more hype for the character! Maybe something where he can use his powers to keep himself looking like a human but as he gets weaker or closer to death he ages idk
