I think it's great the way Shujinko mimics the opponent's attacks - Shao's axe, Sindel's flip kick - it's a good callback to his Deception play style while still remaining unique.
So far to me, it looks like the stages are the best in franchise history. Every one I’ve seen looks great.

Yeah. In the past and previous NRS games I had like one or two favorite stages ..but in MK1 it will be hard for me to choose 1 or 2 faves because so far I like / love most of them 😂 I guess I m just gonna use that option (?) who picks random stages when starting a match. 😁

They are definitely the most beautiful and brightest. It’s also about time they brightened those stages up.

@@jasonalbran376 That was his ancestor at the end of MK11. So this must be the decendant up until that point in history. MAYBE Raiden will play the role of the Kung Lao rival and this Kung Lao will be the modern day Liu Kang. Maybe.

There seems to be a lot of ppl confused about Raiden being champion instead of Kung Lao. I’m pretty sure that the champion Liu Kang chose in Aftermath was Great Kung Lao, modern Kung Lao’s ancestor.
It seems like this tournament is a tradition that is held regularly to help keep the peace between realms, kinda like the Olympics. Every tournament, there’s a new champion, and this champion happens to be Raiden.

You're right, and he said that the great Kung lao was his greatest champion ever but is hiding his victories.
This Kung lao is his ancestor and could have been champion if just tried a little harder like Raiden who trained with many others like scorpion though liu kang did say someone can replace him if they prove more worthy than Raiden
The character design is spectacular. The perfect balance between martial artist and warriorTeenage human Raiden is spectacular and impressive his combination of martial arts with electric super powers is impressive and amazing

As much as I loved the campy evil power couple from Aftermath, hopefully Sindel will revert back to being a somewhat heroic character (or maybe a mix of that and her aftermath personality).

I dont think they will become evil. Maybe Mileena if she becomes 100% tarkat. Bad guys this time will be Onaga, Reiko, Havik and Bi Han most likely.

@@febripratama7107 Another trailer said he was being manipulated by Shang Tsung - so likely he’s just a self-important brute rather than outright evil. Shao Khan has been a villain in every game he’s been in - let’s hope we see a more nuanced side to him.

Really like the look on Sindel,Kitana,Mileena they all have a similar beautiful design this game more so than any other game, like the way the story is going so far in the trailers appreciate the effort they put behind the stories and how each char will have a diff ending
def the scariest sindel has ever been imo 😭 she actually seems powerful unlike her just wiping out half the mk9 roster out of nowhere. that cackle at the end gave me shivers

Kung lao stays getting shafted
I love shujinko's design he really resembles shang tsung a lot both in appearance and mannerism by the looks of it. I even almost mistook him for shang in this video.

Wow! While I prefer Sindel’s design from MK11, I love how they made her look much more like Kitana in this game. It really sells that they are mother and daughter 🤩 In Aftermath whilst I know they telegraphed that Sindel was evil. I was really hoping that she would be a good guy who happened to be a little cynical, pragmatic and a bit ruthless, as a result of her past hardships and responsibilities. This trailer is giving me hope that her character is moving in that direction. Also her outfit is fire 🔥 And I like the decision to keep the same voice actress 👌
The designs are almost identical lol. Basically a slightly revised outfit and changed ethnicity.
Her hair alone puts MK1's design a tier higher though.

I like Shujinko's fighting stance, makes him look like a cocky Kungfu master that knows how to best his opponent. And man, Sindel and Shoa Khan looked fantastic in MK11, but these new designs are absolutely phenomenal, especially the faces; so expressive and detailed.
I really like this idea of possibly keeping that rivalry (that admittedly was lacking after mk9) of raiden and shao kahn but this time both as champions of their respective realm aswell as us getting a younger more battle active shao kahn who maybe has to plot a coup to become the kahn we all know him as.
yeah I'm really curious about how the story is going to go for this one, since it seems like the tournament is more like a traditional event like the Olympics rather than "win or your realm will be conquered" like the old one was, but there have been so many teases for possibly betrayals/treachery there has for sure got to be more to the story than just a tournament
Makes me wonder where Onaga is if he’s still around. It will be nice to see Raiden and Shao Khan clash more directly again though.
