But I really have fun in this car, and as far as the visibility issues people complain about, well I only need to see what's in front of me cause I left everything else behind😝

Now hearing that it will be back in 2026 really brings my spirit back. I can hardly wait to see what it will look like. I hope a 1980’s version would not be bad….😉
I currently own 2 Camaro. One of them is a 1969 Camaro Z28 /RS . One of favorite styles of Camaro. I also own a 5th Generation SS. I believe they hit the mark when they built this car. A little bit of old school style with modern touches and performance. Both cars are from different time. Both fantastic cars. I believe if they would of left the body style alone and just make some performance upgrades , and they would have come with a RS/ SS Package that would of had hide away headlight. That would of been a great package. The car is not selling due to lack of advisement . When was the last time you saw a commercial about a Camaro on TV. Just look at what Dodge has don with the Challenge. Pretty much keep the body style the same since 2008 with performance packages. They are still selling those with a good amount of sales. Look at the commercials with a Dodge Challenger. Great commercials. The problem with Chevrolet, is that they just let the Camaro die. Period.
Advertisement! If the. Big issue the space inside is and the exterior design . They don't have that wow factor like the other two. You made the car look more common to other things on the road . And made it smaller ? Not good for sales
I think if they were to update the interior inside and more roomer inside would be a plus. Also a bigger display also it’s really small vs how they update for other models have a 11” center display also.
Hp and torque aren't important to all Camaro owners. I have a 2014 with the v6. It is a great car for traveling. I don't track it or drag race . I love the independent suspension, the limited slip differential and direct injection. I drove the gen 6 Camaro but didn't like the reduced interior space or lower stance I'll look at the 2024 LT1 V8. I do have a 2017 Stingray. I prefer my Camaro's handling. I've gotten used to the reduced visibility.
I bought a new ZL1 in 2019, which I love. I have to say that you're correct that on the public roads the extra horsepower is overkill. The 356 hp you get on the V6 is plenty for normal driving. There are those who love the sound of a pushrod V8 though and the effortless acceleration that comes with 8 cylinders. The chassis is one of the best on the road as is the magnetic ride control. I was a Mustang GT guy for 20 years but the 6th gen camaro is a superior product in my mind. I don't understand why it didn't sell better
When you start a statement about a Camaro with "HP and torque aren't important" I can't take anything that succeeds that seriously. Those two things are literally why that car exists.
GM kills vehicle models by not promoting them. GM's marketing stupidity is astounding. I go back 20 years with this next comment, but it is still salient. Oldsmobile was still selling to an acceptable degree DESPITE absolutely no advertising. Then GM drops the make because it was supposedly failing. Look at what GM is doing with Buick the last couple years. The only commercials you see are of an ethnically mixed woman having the damn car being self parked. Mitsubishi (I like Mitsu) is outselling Buick these days. Unreal.
After driving both a 2011 5th gen, and 2018 6th gen, I decided the one I wanted to buy was the 2014-15 body style 5th gen. Glad I did pick 5th gen absolutely awesome car, truly feels like a car that will last and I'll still be taking to car shows 40 years from now. The 6th gen I drove, just didnt have that feeling to me... Felt kind of, more refined.. In the way of maximizing profit margins.
I have a 2020 RS/1LE, and a mail truck driver pulled out in front of me (looking down at his phone)while I was doing about 35 on a back road. No where to go I just stomped the brake. Missed the mail truck by about a foot. No way any other car I have ever driven could stop like that. I will no longer complain about tire prices or brake pads. I love my Camaro!
The only reason Comaro's aren't selling is because GM refuses to listen to consumers, wishing that the car was easier to see out of. My wife is 5' 1" and has no problem, but I'm 6' 2" and can't see out as easily as other cars and it's too low getting in and out for me and the trunk opening is too small. It's a great car, but unfortunately, it's just not for me
The reason they don’t sell not everyone has a tow truck or a A A A membership to get the thing back home after you drive it unreliable scrap never buy a gm again 2021 worst car I ever owned

It takes a lot more than one car to save a brand and right now GM isn't looking very healthy. The need a couple of inexpensive and reliable cars and trucks, think boring but does work.
I've owned four Camaros. 1982, 1988, 1998, and 2010. I loved them all, but I think the 2010 is the best of the lot mechanically. (I do miss the 80s body design sometimes. There was nothing like it on the road.) Give me an electric Camaro for 2026? - but don't make the mistake they made with the SUV like Mustang.
It may be the last one standing, but it has never been as good a car, every generation, it falls short on looks, and way behind in performance and durability.
@@user-Dr. Hahaha so that's why chevy copied it huh? That why they stole the windsor? @@Rhino2087 You're a funny guy, or girl, or I guess whatever you want to be these days, but whatever, one simple fact is you lie like a democrat, the sbc was introduced nearly a decade before the windsor, ford tried to copy but failed, that engine could never compete with the sbc, copies are never as good, GM is building the best most reliable vehicles in the world, but people like you like to spread lies, make stuff up instead of going to the race track and competing or at least watch to learn what is really going on, explain, in the world of racing the Chevy LS package has become the standard race engine for all brands of cars, NASCAR, Trans Am, NHRA, in the road racing I do where anything goes, the fastest Mustangs are also powered by Chevy, the Dodges and Toyotas can't even find their way to the track not to mention around it, on race day GM dominates everything, Camaros and Corvettes are the fastest, most reliable production based road racing cars money can buy, 90% of the tow vehicles are GM, you really need to crawl out and witness real life pal, get to the track.
I have a 2016 RS, I love it. Never had issues in seeing out of it, or feeling claustrophobic inside. As for GM, they never marketed the car correctly, that falls on them. The future, I was all for an EV version, then starting hearing about it being 4 door and having subscriptions for having heated seats and the like. NO THANKS. I'll just keep what I have and enjoy it. Too little too late for the 2024, they (GM) just don't seem to care about the car or name.
GM - known internally as Gruesome Murderer has killed more brands than any other company that claims to be "in" the car business; LaSalle, Oldsmobile, Pontiac, Saturn, SAAB, Holden, Daewoo, Humner, the EV1 Electric Car, etc. And GM gets partial credit for giving it their all in trying to Kill Opel and Lotus. You can kinda see why they are internally known as Gruesome Murderer.
The Camaro lagged in sales because chevy won't fucking make many. They never made much effort to market or incentive it. When you want to order one you have an allocation. What the hell is up with that. The demand is there.
I am 55 years old. I grew up a GM boy in Michigan. Most of my cars from the earlier years were GM. No complaints. I grew up. their quality was horrible. I stopped being a stupid fanboy. I sold Fords at a dealership and I know that Ford is slightly behind GM in terms of being awful. You want a great car purchase? Buy a Toyota.
I’m sorry but GM doesn’t have the performance drive they did from 2002 and back to the 90’s. They wouldn’t let ford or dodge beat them on the track or strip. They’ve never really put much into adding several models like the Mustang in its GT, GT-350, GT-500 and so on. The biggest reason they didn’t want it to compete with their corvette which is why they canned the Trans Am, GTO, G8 GXP and so on which is why they are shutting down Camaro production again.
@@DoWorkNP I completely agree with that but honestly the 1993 thru 2003 Camaro Z28 and SS were pretty good on the track for the time and the Trans Am with the WS6 package was even better. If I’m not mistaken the 1999 to 2002 Camaro and/or Trans Am beat the Corvette during track testing. My big deal is that GM really looks like they haven’t cared about the Camaro platform as much as Ford cares about the Mustang or Dodge the Charger and Challenger. They really haven’t changed the looks much other than the front end and headlights. They should have made a version with T-Tops, full Carbon edition a 700 plus horsepower version and so on. Could’ve even went to an 80’s look with a hatch back. I just really wanted them to be as competitive as they once were.
Don't worry, GM is recalling over 3 million vehicles, all the way back to 2007. So, it looks like more junk in the future! Oh, the most unreliable vehicle on the road is still the Cadillac Escalade!
If the new model doesn't look like 08-22 in any way I'm all for a new direction. If not it'll be second oldest platform next to the Challenger which makes money
The 6th gen rides on a totally different chassis (Alpha) than the 5th gen (Zeta). They got suckered into the retro trap though and didn't know where to go after effectively copying the first gen look. What do they do then, copy the second gen or come up with something totally different? They did neither and the average person can't really tell the difference.
the nascar is not a real camaro but a purpose built race car. the same for the mustang and toyota entries. just different decals to make them look like a camaro or mustang
When the prices are outrageous to begin with you wonder why sales are bad ? Most families don't make the money to even come close to buying one. Ding dong dummies, bring the price down. First get rid of your greedy UAW.

Jeez don't ever call a Mustang a sports car. Throughout its entire history it never handled that great (FACT!), especially compared to a Camaro, which ALWAYS excelled in the handling and cornering dept. The Mustang was like a flying brick and most still haven't improved much. My biggest criticism of Mustangs these days is they have gotten too monotonous. There are a gazillion of them on the road with seemingly a hundred different variants and a new one coming out every couple of months. When one drives by you never quite know what your looking at because they're a dime a dozen. Some are stylish but many are homely and by now boring. Yes, high performance is available but some of us want the performance but not the feeling that we're just another penguin in a mass-produced thing that everybody and their kid brother does burnouts with. And WAY overpriced. I've bought two new Camaros in my life: a '74 LT with 350 & factory dual exhaust, and a '84 Z28 H.O. with 5 speed and 4-wheel disks. Both were drop-dead gorgeous and easily outperformed the Mustangs of the era in every way, and the Mustangs were ugly as sin. Just sayin.

Hoping the Z28 is in the works with LT6 motor manual transmission and 5th gen z28 vibe, less weight more aero
ALL HALE THE KING, The Mustang the ast one standing
It may be the last one standing, but it has never been as good a car, every generation, it falls short on looks, and way behind in performance and durability.
@@user-Dr. Hahaha so that's why chevy copied it huh? That why they stole the windsor? When comes to reliability dodge fans & ford fans can debate which 1 is better but reliability is not something gm is known for at all tahoes burning blazers flipping silverado axles the bolt & equinox the ignition recalls & all the other recalls 😂 can't forget about the gd door handles
The Mustang is not an ast! Its not bad. if there was no Mustang there would be no Camaro.
I will buy a used ZL1 1LE before I would buy a new Mustang
What does any of this have to do with 2024 camaro????
Nothing. !!!!
I thought it was discontinued?
Hey man! How do I reach out??

I have a 2016 RS, I love it. Never had issues in seeing out of it, or feeling claustrophobic inside. As for GM, they never marketed the car correctly, that falls on them. The future, I was all for an EV version, then starting hearing about it being 4 door and having subscriptions for having heated seats and the like. NO THANKS. I'll just keep what I have and enjoy it. Too little too late for the 2024, they (GM) just don't seem to care about the car or name.
5th gen is king
A 5th gen with a Turbonetics turbo system. Great all around Camaro.
I have never liked the new Camaro because of the low roof line compared to the original car. The Mustang is MUCH better looking than the Camaro.
Let’s see what comes out I’ll trade in my 5 gen. ZL1 but hang on to my 2nd gen Z-28.
1:02 🤨 what the hell is a "cool wet"?!?!
Forgot to include the history of the discovery of bacteria by microscope
The Mustang will still outsell it. Always does.
Uuuuuhhh.... You're lying because. The 5th gen outsold the mustang . smart guy
So will you be able to actually see out of it?
Probably the best all around Camaro ever produced, and still no one bought it. Time to move on.
To be fair it took mustang almost 5 years and nearly $30,000 more expensive mustang to even match GMs track capabilities in the 2018 ZL1 1LE.
T -tops ? Niiiiice but crash test ratings .
This a great looking and driving car, but the visibility is limited and I feel claustrophobic in the car.
Chevrolet just doesn’t get it, what we want is a 1969 Z28, not this new stuff.
This is a joke...all of the model Camaros were too expensive in their CLASSES that's why they didn't sell then and won't sell again.
So many mistakes in this video. He even called it a Ford Camaro at 8:58 of the video.
Corvette Z04……
5:19 - gotta get me a Z04 Corvette
Good luck
Don't worry, GM is recalling over 3 million vehicles, all the way back to 2007. So, it looks like more junk in the future! Oh, the most unreliable vehicle on the road is still the Cadillac Escalade!
GM is done. Don't think we are all going to flock to EV's
You do know that NASCAR's are not production cars .... right?
If the new model doesn't look like 08-22 in any way I'm all for a new direction. If not it'll be second oldest platform next to the Challenger which makes money
Mustang is the oldest of them all, the actual engineering traces back to 1998 when DEW98 was introduced
@@thatboringblenderguy Ford and Dodge did it right while gm Idk the last facelift really showed that they were lost
@@blackrat1228 Alpha may be different structurally but they share the same interchangeable parts with Zeta and Sigma
the nascar is not a real camaro but a purpose built race car. the same for the mustang and toyota entries. just different decals to make them look like a camaro or mustang
I thought chevy said no more Camaro
When the prices are outrageous to begin with you wonder why sales are bad ? Most families don't make the money to even come close to buying one. Ding dong dummies, bring the price down. First get rid of your greedy UAW.
I think that this video was a waste of time and I'm mad at everybody who thinks that the world needs to have less gas guzzling cars. Just let me have my fun.
It failed because it is over priced and had two many trim packages.
If you think this car which sells in minor numbers is as you say"Changes the Entire car industry"would indicate a distinct lack of intelligence.
16-18 Camaros are best.

It’s the last year of the Camaro.
lol, gas engines only? this thing is DOA.
Something special....that will be way overpriced and hard to get.
Learn to pronounce "Camaro."

Looks like a face lifted 2010
Worst selling muscle car in the big 3. We know why. Let's put a 4 cylinder in a sports car...lol. well ford following suit but still sold more by twice..lol
I didn’t watch the video, didn’t need to because I’m positive “changes the entire car industry” is BS clickbait crap. This is why I’m starting to hate RUclips car stuff.
Next one is gonna be all electric and it's gonna gulp goat's balls. Totally looking forward to it . . . NOT.
Camaros always under performed you want the best sports car American ever made mustang Ford mustang The best never rest. Just keep getting better
Took ford 5 years to put out a mustang that could even match the '18 ZL1 1LE. And it's still almost $30,000 more expensive than the camaro.
Just sayin.
I was hoping that would go all out with possible mid engine Camaro
