- Wakesurfing is one of the fastest growing watersports and it’s a ton of fun… once you get it dialed in. Get past the frustration with these simple techniques-foot placement, the gas pedal and the brake, surfing down the line, and most importantly, dropping the handle.

Great video. Instruction begins at 1:17.
Thanks for that!
Love this tutorial to help out my beginner riders!
Best explanation on RUclips. Did all these things and dropped the rope the next day!
Love to hear some good feedback Stick! Thanks for sharing 🤙
Thank-you,

Great details 👍!
Thanks for the tips!
Thanks for watching Jeremy!
Great stuff
once you mentioned "surfing down the line" i immediately found out what i was doing wrong.. i dart toward the boat and then back.. i also pull myself into the wave with the rope.
thanks for the tips!
Great feedback hotpock!
Hey Shaun, love the vids keep up the amazing work
Thanks! If you'll keep watching them, I'll keep posting them!!
@@Shaun.Murray Don't worry I will!!
Hello love your videos
I feel like I've been struggling with this for so long - thanks for breaking it all down bit by bit! Can't wait to give it a shot. And, ALWAYS, thanks for the CGA shout outs!!!!
You bet Brandy!
@@Shaun.Murray which side of the boat would I be on? Goofy foot, right forward
@@keithdarman90 same side as your front foot. So the right side also known as Starboard 🤙🏽
@@Shaun.Murray thanks brother
@@keithdarman90 the easiest side to surf is always the same side as your front foot. Right foot forward = right side of boat (starboard)
First class instruction as always, since you brought up beach surfing how about Shaun Murray beach surf video
Great tips and explanation, I was making all the mistakes you describe. Planning to get back on the board this week.
Awesome!
I’ve been a boat owner, ski and wake boarder. However my boat became unused and sold it 13 years ago. Had not been on water, boat wise since then. Fast forward last summer I had the opportunity to wake surf and got up first shot. However I made/make every mistake possible. I just went a few days ago for second time. Still a handle user like a baby to the teet. What is different I ñ now know what’s up by watching this cat that shares a hair doo as me advise us on what to pay attention to...... Makes sense, all of it. The key is doing it....
Great feedback Scott and great to hear you're back on the water!
@ 3:55 I almost cried before I saw the caption 😂
This is by far the best tutorial. very helpful. For beginners who are still working on tossing rope , are we suppose to stand up more straight rather than bending feet and back lower? I also feel this is a common mistake I make
Good question. For sure standing up can keep you over your feet better. To shift weight forward, don't bend over at the waist, bend your front knee and drive weight over your front foot, even towards your big toe.
@@Shaun.Murray super! No wonder I look so strange and funny crouched over like a mini squat. Noted on the leg shifting rather than arching body forward to shift weight. That’s def a mistake I always made as well. Thanks a ton!!
I have newbies drop the rope to the side. Beginners always seem to fall when the try to throw the rope into the boat. Seems they lose their concentration or it throws their weight off
Shaun I just got a tige Z3. Throws a great wave. I set my wave setting to the steepest setting. I noticed I fall behind on the wake then the wave slingshots me forward, lose momentum, then lag behind and get slingshotted again. I can balance pretty well. Should I lower the steepness of the wave? Thank you! You're a legend!!
Could be the direction you're pointing the nose of the board. Make sure you're surfing towards the middle of the platform rather than pointing the board in the same direction of the boat. That can cause that surge you're talking about.
I’m new to wakeboarding. My board has the boots for your feet. Can you learn to surf the wave on this type of board? I’ve gotten good at being pulled but haven’t tried surfing the wave without the rope. Can’t wait to try.
While you can ride a wakeboard in the wave, they definitely aren't ideal for wakesurfing. Check out this board, which is great for beginners. www.hyperlite.com/product/wakesurfers-broadcast
4'8" is good for most people and decent size waves. 5'4" is better for bigger surfers and smaller waves
Question: I just got the same board. If running one fin, do you need do block off the mounting/bolt hole for the other 2 fins? If so, how? Thnx
I do the same thing and get water shooting up the holes sometimes but it's not a constant crazy fountain. I don't bother to fill the holes.
super ,
When are you comeing out with your new boat video
Stay tuned! Real soon:)
Hey Shawn, I know this isn’t exactly a wakeboarding video, but I’ve had an idea for some water sport things like wakeboards and skis. I am only 14, but I really want to start my business. My idea isn’t patented yet, and I haven’t got into much of anything yet but I feel like you might be able to help. I was thinking about starting a water sports business, and I have many other ideas for it as well, but to start it off, I felt like you might be able to help with your experience wakeboarding, and you might be able to see if it is a good idea. I wakeboard a little and I can see ways this would help me and some other people I know. If you are interested, just let me know
Also, it could work for surfboards as well
this boat and the new g23
?
When did you get a paragon?
Borrowing Cory's :)
How do you get started?
