Superb!
Rodney marsh Tony Curry were 2 of our best players back in the day I remember them well. Great story’s I’m good friends with Stan Bowles he not so good now he has alzimers he used to tell me some great story’s. Nice to see Alan Hudson looking good he was one hell of a player I watch him play many times hard man took no prisoners. Take care Liam.
Hi Matty - Loved Stan Bowles - great Player...QPR had a great side back in the day playing brilliant football cheers
Stan Bowles and Tony currie would win matches I think maybe Marsh was not of their type,, Yes Stan seemed a nice guy I love London my home in my DNA. although born up North... I did live in London for 12 months love it
Hudson was a flair player and no hardman.
Alan hudson walks on water
Osgood was the best Ramsey should have played him He was class,, Francis Lee was never that standard Colin Bell too should have replaced Mullery I ve watched the 70 Wc full games. Lee was poor..
Bang on well said 👏👏👏
@@chelseaalex9601 Osgood would have thrived against Brazil Astle missed a good chance Lee was awful His fake dives did not cut it at world class level
Hahaha! Telling Greenwood to Fuck off! I believe Alan grew up in Fulham and was a former pupil at St Thomas More RC School in Chelsea. I saw him a few times having a bevy at the sporting page pub.
f*****g hilarious! what a bloke alan is, just discovered this channel, superb, england had so many great players in the 70s but didn't pick them enough,, nowhere near enough, keegan was not in the class of alan, currie, bowles, worthington, ossie, marshy etc but he got loads of caps and acclaim, i'm not knocking keegan, he was obviously quality and he worked hard but skill wise he'd be the first to admit he was nowhere near alan or any of those players i named
Keegan was an example of what the others could have achieved. It's no good at international level thinking you can play exactly as you do on a Saturday - you have to adapt your game and learn from the manager.
Fucking ace this. 🤣
Is there a part 2 ?
ruclips.net/video/glxxDv2xy-s/видео.html - there's quite a few parts cheers
Many thanks Liam. Looking forward to these !!! Thank you
80 player squad and left Osgood out 😂
Football of that period was the best!….the present football is so dull by comparison!
what a brilliant looking side ENGLAND should have had, mckenzie, hudson, curry, marsh, todd, et al footballers that would have graced any team!!!!.
A lot of them weren't up to it - read my other comments.
Bowles etc. Those were the days when most teams had quality, naturally gifted players. Since then they have been coached out of the game because the entertainment of the paying customer takes second place to the win at all costs mentality. Keep the shareholders happy.
The fact Duncan McKenzie never got a cap is criminal.
@@MXB1973 absolutely i saw him live and destroy teams brilliant player!!
