For $170 sounds like a no Buy. I'll buy 2 bottles of top notch juice instead.
YUP
How in hades did Greg get into and tour Patron ? I was told that’s off limits to gringos and the hardest distillery to visit !?!
He owns restaurants..it was one of those industry tours, that he was invited on, by his distributor
I think the game show you were referring to is The Price Is Right (maybe, Let’s Make A Deal), whereby the model uses exaggerated hand gestures to bring the audiences attention to the product during unpacking or showing the price. Vanna White only flips letters.
I believe you're right
@@longislandloutequila7208 as a side note, when are you going to sample Siembra Azul Lidia? For those of us that can’t get our hands on it, you’re our lifeline to reality.
@lik2bik - I tried it months ago, when my friend brought it back from the distillery when it was being bottled. We were the first people to have a sample, in the United States, but it was so early on, that David asked to us not to release the video that we had shot, likely because it hadn't even arrived in the United States yet. What could I say, maybe if we ever get a full bottle instead of a little 4 oz sample, we'll be able to do a review. There's really not much to say. It's a joven blend of his blanco, repo and anejo, and it's solid for sure.
😂😂😂😂 2:06 just taste the liquor, I'm not interested if the directors drink koffie or not 😂😂😂
🤣 Another overrated Patron product
No caramel coloring, All Patron product is Additive free per the CRT.
Didn't taste that way to me, or most of the people I associate with. The CRT will say anything means nothing, they'll say anything, and they're only out for themselves
Lou, have you seen and/or tried the Tres Generaciones La Colonial Reposado? Just saw it today, says it's a "Legacy Edition"...didn't know if this was something similar to the Cenobio's...
Yes shot the review for it right before we just shot this one you just watched. It's okay, but nothing. It's got a little bit of a weird taste in it, and although it seems like it was made at Cascahuin, nobody knows where it went after that. This brand has a tendency to get suspect. I can tell you it wasn't as good as the Cenobios batch
If your
friend loves cooked agave then drink Centenario (it's the locals favorite in SoCal)
Looks like the same bottle shape only brown that they use for the gran smoky.
Similar
@@longislandloutequila7208 I’d love to see a review of the Gran Smoky , as it’s very unique and different from anything else Patron makes .
What’s the tequila you’re talking about when you said you tried it at the distillery and it’s really good? What patron is that?
I was saying I've had it and love it, and Greg was saying he just had it at the distillery, and it's the best Patron. That would be the Patron Piedra- ruclips.net/video/m-t-PL7kuPA/видео.html
Nothing wrong with a nice elegant bottle , it’s not that overboard , lol . And , can’t blame Patron for wanting in on a the game . They kinda invented the super premium brand when they came out many years ago and are still a pretty legit product imho .
Yeah true, but how long will they really be a legit product, if they're not slipping already. We have to remember that they are completely owned now by Bacardi, who's portfolio of tequilas are all diffuser, not to mention they're not even designated as additive free anymore on TMM. Although the flavors weren't exactly over the top, there was some suspect notes. It's definitely drinkable, although it's a little too sweet for me. I know that I would be buying something else before this.
Agreed
@@longislandloutequila7208 good info, didn’t know….
I have a Tequila A-Z "dictionary" book from like 2019 or before which covers everything about anything and everything tequila (as of 2019 maybe) and it mentioned Patron's owners were all about quality of the product so they chose the slower process vs the mass producing cost effective version in order to preserve quality of their tequila. But yes, Bacardi owns them now and will ruin it. All these celebrities and major Americanized corporations buy tequila brands and absolutely ruin the artistic process and history of the tequila and turn it into shit they can smack their label and a high price tag on. Same with some of these grandkids of the founders, they sell out their families legit artistic way of making it to big corporations who then mass produce it and fill the tequila with additives
@@NickyE-Sins agree with most your points except I think Bacardi learned a lesson when they ruined Cazadores. The public def let them know , and now the once historic brand , struggles . It will be hard to ruin Patron , because they invested so much into all the mini tahonas and stills to make their main product . It’s been a couple years and Patron’s quality and integrity have not slipped or been compromised . Hope it stays that way .
Hey Gents. To help you out a little this is 60% Extra Anjeo, 40% is anjeo and repo
Sounds good, thanks
@@longislandloutequila7208 another reason why they designed the bottle and case in that shape is because it’s supposed to resemble what a blue agave plant looks like. The color is specifically that color because that’s what you see when you look out into an open blue agave field.
@@longislandloutequila7208 Lastly patron El Cielo is in my opinion a much much better tequila because you get that traditional raw unadulterated agave on the pallet you come to expect on a good tequila. It’s distilled four times which is unheard of in a tequila game which enhances the flavors from the plant itself. Check it out and do a review. Let me know what you think.
Bottle is a total bbw....my type
I can't find his channel I searched Aged Agave
I think mostly on Tequila Match Maker, Facebook and maybe Twitter...
He's only on Instagram
Found him on Instagram, thank you all
So many wonderful tequilas on your shelf Lou, thank god you don't live in San Diego :-) -Shake and bake country
Naw I don't need to flex.... CHAMUCOS REPOSADO....my juice
Seems like a money grab by new full owners Bacardi . 😢
Nothing like a tequila expert 😂
No expert, just telling you what I taste to be the truth
Does anybody want to know your opinions 😊
Yes many do and if you don't.. just take a walk
Which one is the best tequila in your opinion
Which Patron? The higher-end Piedra or the original Smoky and Roca line, which are not made anymore. This brand seems to be headed one way... and it's not up
@@longislandloutequila7208 but your favorite tequila, I been wanting to find a really good tequila to taste
What expression are you talking about? I have favorites in every expression. Why not look at my list of best overall brands, and you can go from there. Here's the link, or just Google 'Lou's Overall' and you will see it- longislandloutequila.com/what-brands-to-buy/
@@longislandloutequila7208 Thanks man!!
That's a tough answer. That would depend on the expression, and everything else as an overall brand. I would have to say Fortaleza, but there's so many amazing brands out there, and some of them only make certain expression. I would have to say, Google "lou"s overall overall tequila brands", and look at my overall brands, off my website.
