Great recipe l swap sunflower seeds for 5 tbs almond flour. I make it up put into a jar and keep in the freezer. Then its ready to use when I need it, l keep the cipe tapped to the jar , so easy to use saves so much time. thank you
A yummy 😋 vegan WFPB Mac & Cheese recipe Brittany. I never buy the processed junk version of vegan Mac & Cheese because I don't like them because I only like home made. Love 🥰 the video and love 💕 The Jaroudi family.
I wonder if it would be easier to blend all the "Cheese" ingredients together first and then mix it with the pasta. If you have an Immersion blender, add the liquid and miso to the jar that has the dry and blend it together.
This is delicious .. I do leave out the turmeric as I find it to be an overpowering flavour but, it really is nice to have on hand .. lasts well in the fridge!
@@TheJaroudiFamily it’s so healthy that I’m trying to get smaller amounts in plus the colour it adds to dishes is amazing! I love peas in it! This is a great dish .. thank you for making it!
Hey! Aren’t you our middle school art teacher? You were such a nice teacher and it’s cool to see you doing so well on here! (I say were as I am no longer in middle school)
I'm glad to see you are using the Vitamix base and their food processor. I own all the blades for the food processor and love using them. I came to your RUclips channel from The Physicians Committee video (ruclips.net/video/LJOudyKl_uQ/видео.html). Thank you for offering up an alternative to cashews with sunflower and pumpkin seeds for a "cheese sauce." My limited advice to you is to use your Vitamix to make the cheese sauce in the blender (or the food processor) and then add everything to the noodles so you can get a more evenly distributed sauce. So much powder can make mixing with the plant milk either hydrophobic (not absorb all the milk) and cause an uneven distribution of the raw powder until it's mixed with the plant milk and any remaining water in the noodles.
Cool tip you might find helpful. If making any sauce or soup even hot sauce that might be helpful. I take about 1/2 tsp of baking soda i then take tiny pinches tol bitterness is gone. It raises the ph which increases sweetnes. It worked great when I came up with with my mascarpone I used it for that slight sweetness in real mascarpone. Also in marinara. No need for other sweetners.
I usually use Dam Turnbull’s recipe from It doesn’t taste like chicken. I will definitely try this too. Love Mac and cheese with hot sauce and broccoli
What is the brand of green lentil pasta? I've tried a lot of healthy pasta versions and haven't found a good traditional pasta substitute. If anyone has any suggestions for their favorites I'd appreciate it.
This is going to save so much time. Making the "cheese" sauce for mac-n-cheese always feels like such a chore. Thanks for sharing this recipe! #jaroudigiveaway
Yup, that would work as well. I like using sunflower seeds for a source of Vitamin E - I find I have a much easier time getting in omega-3's each day but vitamin E takes a bit more planning for me.
I didn’t see the recipe using grams when I went to your website…. Do you use the gram measurements on a particular version of your recipe that one can download? Thank you!♥️

Unfortunately, this is a high-fat recipe - a half-cup of sunflower seeds has nearly 40g of fat. For those of us on a low-fat diet (e.g. Esselstyn) this is a no-go. But thanks to the poster who mentioned the Sam Turnbull version of the powder - this is low fat. I'm sure the sunflower seed version tastes awesome, though, like everything of the Jaroudis' I have tried.
You would not eat the entire batch… this is 1/2 cup for a 6-8 serving size. It’s not 40 grams for a serving. It wouldn’t even be 1/4 cup of seeds per serving…
@@TheJaroudiFamily The Esselstyn diet aims for about 10% of all calories max to come from fat. To do this, you basically have to avoid all but tiny quantities of seeds and nuts (except for a tablespoon of flax seed for omega 3s). I try to avoid fat calories in sauces if at all possible, because they do occur in beans, etc. I'm sure your recipe is tasty, though. I have greatly enjoyed other dishes of yours.

I Honestly disagree, I love the recipe but having 20 seconds of graphics at the start of the video is a killer of views. Core fans may not mind and just skip it (as I did), but if you want to wider your audicence and attract people who are not already invested in you, the best advice is to get straight to the point of the video, no time wasted. People have thousands things at the same time competing for their time and they are therefore extremely selective. People first see thumbnail, then title and if they like the promise of them, click the video and expect to get what has been promised. If they get 20 seconds o corporate graphics, they leave. You can see this effect in your analytics, that most people leave in the first few seconds, those are people attracted by the promise of the title and thumbnail, but turned away by the intro. Sorry for being a little blunt. It is not just my opinion, this is the most common advice of successful youtubers - ditch the intro, get straight to the point.
