Just..nope, you guys really have to know this stresses them out while they are growing and you do it anyway, it may not be harming them like when people cut ears/tails off dogs but its still a lot for them.
Dogs aren't made of glass, stress won't shatter them into pieces. A genuinely stressed dog will pace, shake, and pant excessively. I've observed no such behaviors in my dog past trying to scratch the bandage of for the first five minutes, a bit of play or treats and then they simply forget they even have them.
I'm totally against the breeding of xolos. But I have one from a shelter and she has perfect ears, without any taping at all. First: Don't breed xolos Second: Don't tape their ears. It is unneccary!
