      What media are you using in the blasting cabinet? And is that just regular vinyl decal material? Ive made the lettering on headstones the same way, but I used a 1/16" rubber template with the letters cut out, will vinyl work just as well with a finer media? Great work! Very impressive finished product!

      Fast day..if you have at least $80,000 for a computer signware. ..HOWEVER...it's more incredible to watch a sign mechanic do it all by hand, as I started out 55 years ago til retirement. Yes ALL WORK ONCE IN MY DAY WAS DONE BY HAND..INCLUDING HAND DRAWN "POUNCE" PATTERN"

    I can smell the glass cleaner,
    Nothing like the feel of a good clean execution. I worked in a couple stained glass shops doing that for etching and as well leaded windows.
    This video brings me back!!!
    Thanks for the glass shop meditation!!!

I watched one of your videos last night for the first time and I spent the rest of the night learning how to glue chip, and how to scallop the edges of glass! This art is amazing and just enough steps to keep me interested in it! The beauty of your pieces is amazing! Thank you for filming! I cant wait to do my own much smaller pieces! Perhaps my name to start.

      if i wasn't already waiting on a tufting gun to make rugs with, i would be looking into this for sure. the only thing that i would balk at is i don't know coreldraw or illustrator, have a plotter, or a sandblasting set-up. other than that it's just a lot of smaller tasks. having worked in high-pressure factories before, the little jobs themselves don't impress me super-much because i've been in situations where you get your act together fast or you don't have a job tomorrow, and i've owned a trophy/t-shirt shop so i have some familiarity with the equipment and weeding process. i've used vinyl as stencils to armour etch class before, which is simple.
      if the ex moves to another state like she said she wants to or she just won't help me out (she still has the business), i'll find someone else to subcontract that out to and come up with a design i can sell over and over again to reduce design costs. i'm sure a simple inquiry on FB could find me someone who does sand blasting, that's just the kind of people i know.
      i probably watched the same videos you did and priced some stuff out, lol. good luck!

    • @manlymcstud8588
      @manlymcstud8588 3 года назад

      i mean, the result is beautiful, but where's the art exactly? don't get me wrong, it's a great looking piece and requires being proficient in several processes, but i just don't see the 'art' in it knowing that the designs essentially comes from templates. skill? oh, sure. art, though? hm, i have to question that.
      again, i'm not trying to take anything away from the people, process, or fantastic end result, but i won't gush and goo over what really is by professional gilded glass sign making standards pretty basic.
