I decided to have a look at this review as I have driven one of these. I was expecting to see you dressed as a battery and turning it off after 30 seconds. However, everyday is a learning day. A fantastic review, no BS, presented clearly, concisely and accurately. I have driven one of these and like the car. It is not the fastest but who really needs a car that does 0-60 in 5 seconds etc. I did not buy one because I use the M25 a lot, the concern is being stuck in a jam on a hot day with the climate on watching the power drop. I also found it comfortable punching well above its weight. A good all round car in my view. Thanks for the review.
Well said. I've just test driven one today, May 2024. And bought it. I don't do much, if any, motorway now I'm retired so it seems ideal for me.
Great review! I brought one after watching this!
having previously worked as a Photographer at a Vauxhall dealer I have driven a few of these, I do actually like them, the EV one at Motorway speeds will only do around 120 miles to a charge! and yes getting in the boot was a pain! you should try finding the boot latch on the Combo!
Thanks for the review - I have watched it several times! 😂😂
I ordered the ultimate,. in green, but the model was withdrawn and it did not look like I was going to get one 🙄🙄
So, I sat down with the dealer, had a chat about it, and he decided I was right a all along and found me one in group stock - black over grey 😊😊 Pic it up on Friday 👍👍
CONGRATS ON 1K subs ABI!!!!!! You are actually flying 🛫🛫🛫🛫🛫🛫
Thanks Army! Appreciate that 🙌
Cracking review!!!! Bonus points for the hat x
Thank you Ms Hume! Appreciate that coming from you girl! ❤️
loved watching your review! x
Thanks Natalie! ❤️
I had one last year and handed it back after 6 months. The range on the electric is awful at best i got 170mile out of a full charge. At the time finding a charger was a nightmare, especially when down in Cornwall. It also broke down with only 350 miles on the clock when the battery loom burnt out. It was a nice smooth drive but with 3 kids the back seat is ridiculous. Went to a MG HS after and found it much better for size. It really is a corsa with a very slightly higher roof.
Good review. Very helpful, going to look at one today!
What did you decide?!
I loved the barn owl comment & cut at the start . Top quality video Abi and it’s a nice car
Thanks Sarah 🙌 🦉
It’s the car outfit coordination for me 🤩 amazing as always Abi! 💚
Thanks darling xx
Ordered my black Ultimate 1.2 petrol auto in April this year, told expected delivery October 2022, then December 2022 but then worse news, informed that leather seats with the massage function were now extras and I had to settle for Alcantara seats minus the massage function. I could have cancelled the order, but with the semi-conductor issue, I would be looking at well into 2023 for any other new car so left it. Nice one Vauxhall!
Aw that's a shame... it's a common thing in the car industry with all the manufacturer's since lockdown. I can understand it's frustrating. Hope your car comes soon! In time for Christmas maybe?!
Ordered vauxhall mokka auto ulitimate in March received car November exactly 8 month wait.
Great review
Very smart and efficient car it's definitely the one for me
cheers for the review girl
my mrs has just relieved me of 31,000 for a green mokka e!!!!!😀😀
You’re welcome Robin. Glad you enjoyed. Haha she has good taste. Go on girl! 🙌
Great review pretty good looking car, especially the front. Just lacking a bit on power.
Thanks Steven. Yes definitely more of a city car than thrills for sure! 🙌
I have same one on hire its so black in there its like being in a coal bunker ive had a lower trim one which had smaller wheels that drove better but gloss black trim does not hold up well and the gom very optimistic in this weather 167 on dash on a 22 Mile commute goes to sub 100 range I will be glad to get my kona back
Gorgeous car 😍 and you look gorgeous driving it!
Thank you Julie ❤️
Hi ✋🏽 thanks for your video, how do you compare the mokka e with the corsa e?
Hi Judith. I haven’t driven the corsa e as yet but they both share the same platform so will be similar in performance and drive.
I really like it see a few on the road now looks great I need to check out the new astra before I decide what to buy my Audi A4 as had many expensive problems
Sorry to hear about the issues. The new Astra is a looker… haven’t driven as yet though!
Nice colour, wife hates it, so I'll probably get one.. Heated wheel/seats, 18" alloys, front/rear cameras, lime green.. 200 mile range..
😂 that made me laugh… wife hates it so I’ll probably get it. I think she will like it!
Great review abi, really enjoyed watching this.
Thanks Hasib - appreciate that!
Great colour, just ordered mine.
Nice! Did you go for green?!
I have one in White with red strips , Love it :)
Nice!!! They’re one of the best looking new cars in my opinion. Lucky you 😉
Took one out yesterday for a test drive and loved it wanted the green but Mrs wanted the red guess who won lol
The Mrs? 😂 Tell her red cars are statistically the most stolen. See if it changes her mind.
Brilliant review, top gear would be a better show if you was there presenter.👍
Ha! Thank you Luke. That’s so kind :)
Only 2 trims now and specs change every other week.order with caution..Leather seats at time of posting no longer standard ...now a £600 extra!
Aw no! Thanks for the update. A lot of manufacturer’s changing trims even more than usual with all shortages. Appreciate this info.
So happy to finally see you on RUclips 🙌🏽. Great review 👌🏽. looking for an EV for my sister. This is a good contender.
Thank you Zolf! Appreciate that. Well there’s plenty of cool EVs out and coming out too. What are your other choices?
@@SHETALKSCARS We settled on a peugeot 2008 E as it will arrive mid may with the top spec 👌🏽It's her first car and will be a great suprise for her 🙌🏽
I really love this car and the colour I have a vauxhall mokka t.d.i and its brilliant to drive if I did go for the new mokka it would have to be diesel
Yes in the green 👍🇬🇧
Just a thought, but diesel engines is something the government is on a mission to eliminate hence the high prices of diesel compared to petrol. On top of that I think you'll find that the next trick will be to hike up the prices of the RFL for diesel passenger cars to unaffordable amounts. Look at the offers car manufacturers are currently tempting buyers with though thier appointed dealers on the diesel cars they have in stock in comparison to petrol cars because they know they will have a short life. Fast forward 3 years and diesel cars will have crashed in resale value. If you're leasing then forget my rant 😁, you'll lose nothing other than higher pump prices. Good luck!
Could have just used the button on the key for the boot, no? Suppose it's good for the review to actually find out wherther there is a button for it haha
Had one as a hire car yesterday and really didnt like it. The electric auto was a nice treat compared to my own manual diesel, but that was it
I ordered one in blue on March 10th 2022. I have now been informed by the dealer, not to expect delivery this year. I will wait until Xmas and probably cancel and get a petrol version. It is practically impossible to get an ev from any manufacturer at the moment due to a worldwide parts shortage 😭
Sorry to hear that Scott. Yes it’s hard to get a new car at the moment. EVs use more semi conductor chips than Petrol or diesel cars so it’s not easy. Have you looked at getting a nearly / new used one or is that not an option?
Ordered mine just yesterday the ultimate edition electric in the mamba green colour. Almost fainted when he said delivery next April🙈🙈
Nice choice! Best colour... that and black! It'll be worth the wait!
So we have had a petrol automatic Mokka for 12 months. So the lane control is a pain. Getting in the back is another issue. So kids will be ok but if your an adult you will have issues getting in and out. We have the keyless entry. We have given up on this as it is so temperamental. Then one big issue is when we go to open the car with the key fob. We find the car will not open. The key fob stops working. So we have a trick now to get round this. We have to open and close the boot. Which I am guessing because we have keyless entry it allows us to do this. Then the key fob comes back to life. We can now open the car with the key fob. The car has been back 7 times to the dealer. Still not fixed.
Is it the new Mokka? I only ask because I didn't like the lane control either, but the salesman said to me that most people don't & showed me the button where you can disengage it.
qm getting a petrol mokka i really like them
Nice! What colour Daniel?
@@SHETALKSCARS blue
In March 2023 it going up 252 miles thats if your looking to get your hands one because there like gold dust. This is because of the micro Chip shortages.
Price is still steep , for EV cars and with energy prices at a all time high unsure if these are a good option bright now , love your channel and other social media post
Thank you - yes it’s pricey but all electric cars are at the moment. Energy prices is a really good conversation to be honest - maybe I need to make a video on that one! And thanks for the lovely words. Appreciate that :)
Yeh I get this, I am currently spending around £150-£200 on petrol per month atm.. and about £100 on electricity in the house. So I'm trying to work out if the saving on fuel and increase of electric usage how it will pan out. Also looking into hybrid cars as well like the Hyundai Ioniq or Kona Premium (electric).
@@MegaRugster That makes sense. You also save on servicing, VED, BIK and things like brake pads. So there’s other costs you save too. Insurance can be higher though - so make sure you get a quote and see!
Mokka is my favorite since "hybrid" for Suzuki means that you get a giant hornet in dashboard, just like in mine New Suzuki Vitara: ruclips.net/video/pFGXs5zoLT0/видео.html
not a good mileage range spec says 200miles on full charge but actual is more like 140!!!
It’s like MPG on a car. Predicted and then real world is different. It’s hard to say when you have the car two days if the range is true. Lots of different factors but it’s disappointing when you don’t achieve any where near predicted amount of miles.
The Ultimate does have electrically adjustable seats 🤷🏻♀️
No
@@danares75 my 2022 does so 🤷🏻♀️
This one didn’t Kerry sadly :(
Smaller than the 208? 2008 more like
50 kWh
7 month delay for brand new mokka even longer wait apart from vauxhall corsa. Normally 3 months making new cars
It’s a long wait at the moment. 7 months compared to other brands isn’t that long believe it or not!
@@SHETALKSCARS yes I know was told this by Vauxhall, got the Mokka ultimate mamba green on order, can't wait, saw it in showroom mostly mokka's in showroom too no surprise lol.
@@clivehinton3983 Fab choice Clive. I agree. Mamba green is special - my fave colour! Enjoy when it arrives :)
@@SHETALKSCARS yes I sure will, easy to spot at the supermarket lol 😆
Tell me about it! I ordered mine in March and was told approximately July..🤷🏻♀️ I used to work for the car industry and was like “wait… what? How long???” & then had it explained to me that it’s all about sourcing microchips from… guess where..? CHINA! Why can’t we make them here? Urghhh 😩
It is horrible design tbh. Peugeot 2008 is a loottttt beteer looking and praticality wise better as well. But as you started the review it sounded like a perfect car but till the end there were tons of practicality issues with the car. Not enough back seat space, not enough boot space key for everyone. No electrically adjustable seat but they gave you massage seats??? What!!!??? Dated interior by Vauxhall look at that instrument cluster. You didn't do any justice to the review i think it is not the most honest review if have seen.
You like this colour because it matches your nails??? You have green nails???
I think design is definitely subjective and personal choice. I prefer the way the Mokka looks to the Peugeot 2008 personally! I’m always honest. For someone that is going to be a dream car. For some it’s not going to be the right car. Everyone is different so I try and give an unbiased review to help people make up their own minds.
But i felt it was biased. You must know how Mokka loses its value quickly and drastically. You never mentioned that there are a lot less negatives mentioned. As you said its preference on looks but still found it you forced that green colour on us lolll...
@@ibrahim0ffline I’m not biased - I’ve never owned a Vauxhall and I am always honest about my feelings. We don’t have to agree - it’s subjective and a personal thing. Green is one of my favourite colours :) Again, subjective and personal.
