Another of my favourite places Noel. Always landed with a crosswind there though but there is always a warm welcome. Flew out of Cromer one day through Norwich ATZ and directly back to Nayland against a strong headwind and directly into sun all of the way! Thanks for another very good video. .
I’ve been following Noel for a bit now and just started with the pilot videos. Noel is so great to watch and explains everything so well, friendly and in a non-patronising way. I’d love to have a go at flying a plane, just as a one off experience. You can do this I think with experience days? Any restrictions or specific requirements for the pilot?
Beccles is great, the newly laid runway surface is like a motorway compared to Cromer!! The food at Beccles is ace as well👌 Great part of the world to fly around, top video again Noel👍
My brother used to live right under your flight in Paston, just south of Mudesley. South East of North Walsham Is RAF Coltishall which used to be a busy air base. The House was under the approach to 22. Evry now and again them flyboys would do a go round. Going full afterburn over our place. Scare the crap out of you. Brother on the other side now in Penbrokeshire near Cawdor barracks airfield. Keep up the great flying.
Awesome video! Crosswind landings are my favorite! I love the challenge! What technique do you use in crosswind landings? Crab and transition to wing low into the wind or wing low into the wind for the whole approach? Thanks for posting these videos!
Crab and wing down into wind down to the threshold if I have to (if the wind is still strong that low), then a kick of rudder to straighten up. Probably not the neatest execution but I haven't had an awful lot of practise!
great vid theres an airfield near piel castle in barrow which would b an amazin destination for u to fly to aswel n visit piel castle while ur at it 😁 would only look cool on a sunny day though
Hi Noel, you've probably already found out, but that 'golf ball' is actually RAF Trimingham. Nope.....I've never heard of it either lol! Keep up the great work Noel, and keep the blue side up.
I used to fly microlights out of Cromer (Northreeps) when we lived in Cromer for a year. Lovely people. Great place to live and fly around. Did you get your prescription for your Flying Eyes glasses here in the uk or are they supplied from the US? Love the magnetic clip on sunglasses.
@@FlyWithNoelPhilips Thanks Noel. They look the perfect option instead of carrying a pair of glasses & sunglasses around in the summer. Appreciate the reply 👍
The gas plant is at the terminal in Bacton. A vent would occur if they suddenly had to dump all the pressure in the lines. This is standard gas plant protocol. Years ago we used to fly helicopters into the plant itself to collect workers to fly offshore to the Leman and Indefatigable gas fields offshore Great Yarmouth. Helicopters used to fly from North Denes aerodrome in Caister on Sea. On a busy summer day, there could be 40 scheduled flights departing North Denes with offshore workers. It was so busy, for a while there was a full ATC service.
Hi Noel glad you paid us a visit at Beccles sorry about the quality of our radio we have it fixed now the Atlantean is ex Portsmouth hope you enjoyed your lunch hopefully see you back at Beccles in the future
Great vid as always it lets everybody know what it is like to fly in a GA aircraft with great views in the sky. What is your dream airport to fly into in the PA28? Lukla?😂
Hi Noel, another great vid. Been to Mundesley on holiday several times but don't let the locals hear you pronounce it as Mun-des-ley. Its actually pronounced Munsley
@@FlyWithNoelPhilips Thanks so much for replying! I really want to learn to fly one of these and maybe even buy my own small plane like a Cessna 150 e.g. I hope you can buy your own one one day, and vlog your whole travel adventures on this channel daily!!!! ☺
Haha, you definitely get used to it over time! It's surprisingly simple once you know the general patterns, but if someone says something out of sequence it can really throw you off!
Very nice landing into that realy beatiful airport. Its so nice surrounded by the water.
Excellent video, perfect thing to watch this evening! Keep up the great work Noel!
Cheers Bradley!
Well done Noel, never be fooled by the limp windsock, I don't think I've ever landed there without a x-wind. Thanks for a great video.
Haha yes I landed and saw the windsock, and wondered if I'd imagined that heck of a crosswind!

Sounds like a good technique to me. I’ve never been a fan of wing low the whole approach. Thanks again for these videos!
Another airfield ticked off the To Visit List!!! Well done with the crosswind !!
Thanks Richard!
I love your vids. I am also doing a PPL and I am learning loads from watching you. One question though which apps do you use for everything?
Another great Cherokee video.😄 Why dont you ask Charles Kennedy and do a twin flight PA-28s somewhere, could be a little different.😉

Oo err, how strange. I'm surprised it doesn't have a restricted area over it!

That’s cool, always fancied flying a microlight at some point! I got my prescription put in them in the UK. Vision Express did mine in 30 minutes!

That's fascinating, thank you for the information Tim!
Awesome video Noel. You should pop into EGCB at some point.
First time i've watched your pilot vlog channel and yeh must admit, just like your main channel I'm hooked! Thanks for the video :)
Thank you!

Hi Noel glad you paid us a visit at Beccles sorry about the quality of our radio we have it fixed now the Atlantean is ex Portsmouth hope you enjoyed your lunch hopefully see you back at Beccles in the future
Cheers Paul it was your suggestion that prompted me to pop in! Great to meet everybody there and hope to be back soon (hopefully on a less windy day!)
@@FlyWithNoelPhilips Thanks Noel hopefully i will be there when you visit next time sorry about that nasty crosswind
Amazing ❤ I'd love to learn to fly! Xx

I'd love to have a proper go at St Barts again! Maybe soon I can get back there and have another go at landing there!
great vlog noel
Thanks Louis!
Noel I Ioved your vlog always enjoyable. Is that an old Atlantean sitting there on the strip ? I should stick to Aircraft recognition really lol .
Greased it!
Not quite 😂
I live in beccles it’s a nice place
Cromer Airport 😂😂 never heard Northrepps be called that before!
A Beccles lad born and bred….. now living in California… was surprised and happy to see you fly to my home town. Cromer is a lovely spot too.
there was a plane crash at beccles airport today love the video
Oh no, I hope everyone was alright.
@@FlyWithNoelPhilips the pilot died from the crash what is very sad I was reading about it from a News article

Munds-ley
I used to live there
He did alright with Happisburgh though!
few,,,, you had to work for that video, nice one noel. brian d.
Thanks Brian!
Anything you can do about that ear defining high pitch noise. Assuming it’s the engine revs through the mic. 😅
Do you own that plane? If so, how much did it cost approximately? 😁
I don't sadly! I rent it, it's around £160 an hour including fuel.

Dude...are you really moving to the US?!?!? WELCOME...we love you Brits so much...come to KRDU...let me buy you lunch and a few pours!!!!
Yet, over here, people cancel flights when it gets over 12kts 😂
And after my terrible landing on this video, you can see why 😂
@@FlyWithNoelPhilips I dunno. That landing didn’t look too bad on video 😉😂
I could never pilot a plane because I can never make out what anyone's saying on the radio 😆
