My New Hiking Buddy is Squirrelly

This little guy popped out as I rounded a corner in the Hoh Rain Forest in Olympic National Park. We walked together for a while. He's a good little hiking companion, patiently waiting for me when he gets too far ahead, while not rushing me and doesn't talk too much; lets me enjoy my forest sounds. We said our goodbye's shortly after filming this walk and I hope to hike together again someday.
