- One way to help you save money is by resetting your garage code yourself so you don’t have to pay someone to come out and do it for you. This specific garage door opener is an overhead door legacy 650.
Thank you that was very helpful. We couldn't get it until we watched your video.
So much better than the written instructions. Thanks!

It worked. Thanks for taking the time to share this information
Thank you! I was on hold for forever and you helped!
Yes thank you so much, I had to put in new batteries so mine wouldn’t work to program until I did so even though the garage door would open!
Worked great! I might add that it helps to wait for the blinking lights on mine to stop flashing before moving to the next step.
Thank you. This made it easy for me. Worked the first time
Thank you!!! I’ve been working on this sooo long!!!
This worked perfectly for my Python 2 keypad. Thank you!
Finally worked! Thank you!

You're welcome! I'm glad you found it helpful.
Looks like you are in Odessa Texas
Great video, but I’m still having difficulties. Any ideas of what to do if my LED flashes red instead of purple?
Great video!
Thank you!
We recently bought a house with this garage opener but it came with a whole different keypad with no program key or up/down key, and we don’t really know what to do, any ideas what to do?
Just a heads up. Initially the first step was to hold both the program button and the up/down button until the red light on the program box goes out. Real important...make sure at the end when you put your new code in and press the open or close button that you aren't blocking the lights at the bottom of the garage door with you body like I did. The garage door won't open or close if your blocking the lights from hitting each other. Don't repeat my stupid mistake. Lol
