I like how balanced your reviews are. You don’t shy away from pointing out the issues as well as the good points of all the vehicles you get on test. Keep it up.
Please do a standard economy run on all your reviews that include freeway and urban driving. It can be a 20km drive on Eco mode where you trying to drive as economically as possible.
Mazda has a hidden gem here🤔🙂. And actually that 1Million will become a bargain-ish once cars similarly specd cars start reaching 1.4 - 1.5 million. Great detailed review!!! I'm convinced that people who have 1 million should buy it😅
We appreciate the honesty around the transmission problems, which many South African car reviewers seem to gloss over. In addition to the transmission, the car faces challenges with suspension and persistent software bugs, which can be frustrating if you paid over R1mil for a car. While it offers a comfortable and enjoyable drive when everything works well, its issues make it hard to justify purchasing this model right now. If you're considering the CX-60, maybe wait for the second-generation CX-60. Hopefully, Mazda will have addressed these issues.
Your reviews my guy!!! Top tier 😎 You are the reason why I'm stuck between a mid spec Mahindra XUV3X0 and Baleno GLX. Only a test drive will make me decide. keep up the good work.
The review I have been waiting for 🎉. Great engine for the vehicle of this size, you didn't mention panoramic roof, lack of 7 seat and some nice features makes Ford Everest a sensible buy at this price.
I would class this vehicle with the X3,Q5&XC60 …although Mazda still needs to work a bit harder when it comes to ascetics, certain material build qualities and some finer details, but I wouldn’t mind upgrading from CX-5 Akera to this inline 6 beast.
This vehicle is meant to compete with the likes of X5, GLE, and similar offerings from Audi, and probably Volvo Xc60. Comparing it to offroad-oriented pick-up based vehicles like Fortuner and Everest is misleading, IMO. Good review though.
@@TheKasiGearhead Even if it's the price comparison, those are two different platforms. Someone who is in the market for something like this will not be looking for those offroaders. This vehicle just belongs to a different class. It should be compared to vehicles designed for the same purpose.
@@marlonsukura530 The Everest is off-road and 'on-road' orientated. The mazda not really, just 'on-road' but can do light off-roading. At that price I'd consider both of them for 'on-road' purposes ,but off-road I'd look at the Everest. At the ±1.1M I'd look at both brands bcs both brands are good(and cos of brand loyalty 😅) but for me clearly the Everest takes the crown. It's versatile for what ever situation you may encounter. At that price I'd look at both, they both family SUV
Madza Global or not are wierd as a whole ..... Like Mazda CX70/80 which is a 5 seater .... has side armrests with cup holders behind the backseats (trunk/boot space) 🤔...... The gearbox issues I read in the Mazda bloogers that Mazda CX60 3.3s have issues, especially in Australian and UK markets. But .... Great Review!!!
No diesel car with 4 pipes? Cayenne Diesel Platinum used to have an option to have it with 4 pipes back around 2018 I think😅plus SQ7, SQ8 and the first model of SQ5
Overall great review ntwayzen, Mazda slowly steps steps in the right direction. 21" wheels would've made this car look like an escalade - an abomination imo. The everest is a bakkie-based, body-on-frame SUV & hence cannot be compared with the CX-60.
@SwitchOffSouthAfrica you captured it well in your presentation that the manufacturer's intentions are usually at odds with market needs, eg, the lack of heated seats.
Tech is making cars crazy expensive 😢 heated seats would be another couple of rand's to the price. But leather seats and S.A winter is no fun The CX-80 is the one with more seats but won't be coming to S.A Lovely Japanese car though ❤🎉 thanks for the review🎉🎉

Great design, Mazda is on the right path
They should put this engine in the BT 50. Solid offering.
Compared to Honda CR-V price wise I will choose the Mazda
The portrait video mode is a little bit disturbing, otherwise great video. I love your content. No controversy.
