📖 SONIC MANIA VR is a mod for Sonic Mania inspired by the ROM hack Sonic VR that adds 40 missions to play. These bite-sized challenges all have a simple objective: complete the challenge without getting hit, and grab the Phantom Ruby at the end. The missions vary in difficulty, and all challenge you in a different way, be it a specific control, enemy, obstacle, or level concept. The mod feature an abstract, cyberspace aesthetic, as well as music by Anamanaguchi.

This is weirdly nostalgic for me, because I remember playing Sonic VR almost decade ago, and especially with that Anamanaguchi music.

The backgrounds in this one just look stellar.
This was cool! Sonic Mania is a great game, glad to see it again here. Really thought these looked cool, it is probably I nice way to practice Mania's controls. The background looks cool, like you are in a computer. Mission C6 . . . was amazing. The Roller badniks, I hate them, along with Ball Hogs, and Asterons. I just realized mid Video; those platforms look like the test zone tiles in Classic Sonic Simulator! Best Level award goes to Elemental Antics, loved all the shields combined usage, Best name, Wreaking Crew, nice reference to the NES Classic. Have a good rest of your day!

Sonic the hedgehog vs sunky. Sunky puts cereal and eats it. Gets a lot of energy. Sonic gets ready to spin dash. Sunky does a dance and dodges the spindash. Sonic like what in the world?

I don’t know how to say tails in sunky but I will try my best. Twails drops in on tails and dances while tails flys and and try’s to go down. Twails places down a big bowl of cereal. Tails lands on it and gets wet. He dries up and blows up. Tails is like what the freak?
Sunky goes by a cliff does a dance sonic spin dashes and misses. Same as Twails. Sunky and Twails won by doing nothing

I like the Super Mario reference there in "Wrecking Crew" xP That was a real NES/SNES Mario game in which you have to destroy all parts of a building in the right order so you don't get stranded =P
It's not an arcade game it's only on Nes or Snes (If you count Wrecking crew 98)

I remember this hack. The challenge was both fun & aggravating. Been a while since I played it though. I think it was a Sonic 2 with gimmicks from Sonic 1. Wouldn’t mind trying the Mania version.
9:48 if you played the mobile version of sonic 2 you should know that is a "Jellygnite" in Hidden Palace you can access the level by going to mystic cave zone 2 and go to the "spike pit" spot, but the spikes there are removed, so if you fall in it, you'll go to hidden palace where in underwater sections you can find the jellygnites
