    Really love this recipe!! The texture is just how I like it! I would add more sugar to make it a bit sweeter and next time I'll let it rest a bit longer also. Thanks for the recipe!!!!! Super fast and easy!!!

    Yong puto na gawa ng mga ilocano noong araw na nabibili ko noon sa baguio city hindi ko na muling natikman sa ngayon, iba ang lasa ng mga puto ngayon. Masarap talaga yon.

    Hi Lina! Thank you for this unique dessert. Although it didn't come out as I expected and no rise either. However it came out more like silkworm cake dessert. It tasted real good with some grinded roasted sesame seed, peanuts, salt, sugar. Very creative.

      Try tweaking the recipe. I know when I travel to MN I have to adjust the amount of tapioca starch. Make sure the yeast is fresh and rapid rise.

    Tried your recipe but used wheat starch instead of tapioca flour, it turned out the same as yours. Great recipe. Thanks for sharing

    I like learn how to cook, but, here I am writing, looking, all the time about how you did the steam sweet rice using cup cakes, they are sooo fine n awesome, any particular store I can buy the cups instead of cupcakes pls. Con't your talent.

    Did the batch you made in this video seem enough for a big Khi Tes ceremony? I noticed you steamed white ones first in the video, 3 batches of those little cups then? or did you happen to get more? I plan to make some for my first newborn's khi tes ceremony next weekend.

    Mine turned out nothing like it did in the video... When done steaming they cakes fell and became a chewy tapioca consistency. I followed the directions step by step and my cakes turned out like what you would find in bubble tea. It's a no go for me.

    Hi Lina - I like this recipe, the only thing is, the quantity is too big to make especially for a smaller family and to cut the recipe in half is sometimes a problem to make even but thank you for sharing this recipe.

    Is rice flour and tapioca both 1 kilo... And for the 2nd mixture after cooking, is it warm or hot before u mix to 1st mixture... Thank you

    Instead using yeast, we can keep the mixture overnite for good fermentation. That will be very natural process of cooking healthy food.

    Can I use stand mixer to mix all since I have arthritis. My joints are hurt. Can’t use hands mix all. Thanks

      I don't see why not, I would just use the whisk attachment instead of the paddle so it mixes everything thoroughly. Good luck tho, mine turned out nothing like it did in the video.

    Tried this recipe but it did not turn out as expected,. It was very sticky due to the large amount of tapioca starch. It's more a "kutsinta" rather than a "puto" in the Phili[ines, But anyway thanks for sharing your recipe, Lina. Happy New year!

    I got confused what is the right measurement of Rice Flour & Tapioca flour.can you explain please how many cups.up here in the Island no one sell by bags of tapioca & rice Flour.
